The book had a reasonably good storyline 3.5/5

A nice quick read. I would've liked to get to know Tucker a bit more before he got amnesia but it was nice seeing the family come together.

4 1/2 STARS!

I am a huge Leslie North fan and this one didn’t disappoint. This is the final book in the Wells series but you can easily read it on its own as I did.

Tucker spent years traveling for his work as a photographer. Now he is back home and helping out on the family ranch. An accident in the middle of a storm leaves him with amnesia and seeking shelter from the woman whose heart he shatter years before.

Avery loved Tucker when they were younger but when he left her behind it left her shattered. Now he is back and doesn’t remember anything from before. He wants a second with her and the daughter he didn’t know they had created.

I will say that Avery frustrated me at times because she was so lost in her hurt and pain that she refused to see the gift of a second chance it seemed.

I had not read the first two books in this series (The Rancher's City Girl and The Cowboy's Baby Agreement) so I read both of them quickly before I settled into The Cowboy's Second Chance Family. It's not totally necessary to read the others first, but those characters are mentioned a handful of times in this book so I'm glad I did.

Like the first two books in this Wells Brothers series, The Cowboy's Second Chance Family is a quick read. Each of them only took me about two hours each to read. I feel like I liked this book the best for some reason, but honestly - I liked all of them. They each had a little tension, a little romance and a lot of life thrown in together.

There are three Wells brothers and two of them get married off in the first two books. So this book is about the remaining brother, Tucker. He is a photographer who travels the world, but he came home for one of his brother's wedding so he is spending some time relaxing. While home, he decided to help his brothers with the ranch chores and he ended up getting hurt during a snowstorm and coming down with amnesia. He stumbled to the vet's home and he was totally surprised to find out that the vet had retired, but Tucker's own high school sweetheart, Avery, had purchased his practice and now lived there. She let him in reluctantly, but he could tell that she was really mad at him - and he didn't know why.

Slowly Tucker begins to recover his memory allowing Tucker & Avery some much needed closure. This is a sweet story that I really enjoyed.

I was provided this book in exchange for an honest review. The opinions stated above are mine without biases.

The Cowboy's Second Chance Family by Leslie north is the third book in the series. You could easily read it as a stand-alone.

Tucker shows up at his ex's house with amnesia and can't understand why she isn't happy to see him. He doesn't remember what happened to them not so long ago.. Avery had a daughter by Tucker, that she is raising alone. I thought the storyline was good, the liked how the past helped them with their future.

We return to the Wells brother #3 with Tucker. He’s back home and has been a since Liams wedding. He finally feels more at home than ever before. But Avery has been on his mind. A freak accident, snow storm, and amnesia... what can go wrong?

Avery loved him once but she’s keeping a secret. She doesn’t believe he has amnesia but as time goes on old flames rise. When the memories needed to make their future won’t come forward, Tucker leaves to find himself. In doing so he may have lost her forever.

Can they figure it out? Or will they be destined to be without each other ?

This was a different type of story than this author writes and I liked it much better than the usual plot.
It just wasn't realistic to m though. I could go with the temporary amnesia, but I don't know why the characters needed that to have long overdue conversation.

I also want to say that I wish authors overall did not feel the need to use scantily clad people on their covers to sell books. That's more of a turn off to me. I don't want to be embarrassed if someone sees the cover icon on my Nook. Let the description and writing speak for itself.

Although the story as slightly predictable it was still a rather enjoyable read. The main characters had depth but I wish they had more time to explore the dynamic between them. It seemed rather rushed to the conclusion.

Tucker gets thrown from his horse, and wakes up covered in snow. When he walks to a neighbor's house he finds his old girlfriend Avery, who is not happy to see him. Tucker cannot remember the past 10 years, and cannot understand why she is mad at him. And look! He has a daughter. Fun read, and overall did like this one, although the ending felt a little rushed, but basically a fun and quick read. Would recommend this one.

Third in the Wells brother series, and much better than the previous book. This last installment has a small twist, angst, drama, romance and steam. Quick easy read. Don’t let the cover and title influence you.

Tucker and Avery were high school sweethearts ten years ago. Showing up on her doorstep now in the middle of a blizzard she thinks he is playing a game with her, for he broke her heart ten years ago when he told her they were through. He went on to travel the world as a photographer she stayed and raised their daughter who he did not know about. She also worked her way through putting herself through school to be a veterinarian.
Listening to him speak she realizes he does have amnesia but at the same time, she is not cutting him ant slack, for she thought they would be together forever and he blew it years ago. When he finally comes out of his stupor, she tells him what happen back then, though he is upset with himself he is happy that he has a daughter. Avery though as much as she still loves him is expecting him to take off again and he does again just as everyone was getting close and thinking they may work it out. Now, what will happen?
Read this really good story that will keep you going from one page to the next and you don’t have a clue what will happen. I found this to be one of her better stories. I really liked it and the characters.

The short length of a novella works against this particular story. There's not enough time really for Tucker and Avery to correct past mistakes which makes their reconciliation seem a little rushed and forced. But I did like that neither of them was blameless for the mistakes of the past. Tucker's actions back when they were teenagers made sense - a young man of 18 would think it was better to push his girlfriend away rather than risk her one day resenting him if her dreams didn't come true. Avery not telling Tucker he had a child also made sense based on what had happened between them and her own flawed teenage logic. Of course, how no one figured out Shanna was Tucker's child seems a little unbelievable.

The only part of the book I really did not like was Tucker running away toward the end of the story. It was obviously contrived as a means of setting up his big grand gesture at the end. It felt like it came out of nowhere - everything is going well and then "poof" Tucker is freaking out.

Book 3 of a series, although I did not read the 1st book. Easily read as a standalone book. The characters of Tucker & Avery have a long history. Some good and some bad. I have become a fan of Leslie North's writing style and strong characters. Add in a smart child and this my favorite type of story.

I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley for my honest review.

I liked the premise of this book. I love a plot about amnesia - so interesting!
I read the book before this in the series and I enjoyed it. The writing was enjoyable and I'd read more of Leslie North's writing for sure. This book, however, wasn't my cup of tea. The relationship was uncomfortable to read and felt pretty toxic on both sides. The characters just didn't get on and it felt forced. Their actions were just not very believable at times. It really let the whole thing down when you don't root for the couple in a romance novel to get together. This wasn't for me but like I said I'd still read more from Leslie North.

Tucker Wells told Avery Collins he was suffering from amnesia after being thrown off his horse when he knocked on Avery's door during a snow storm. He didn't remember the ten years they have been apart. They were high school sweethearts. Now Tucker wants to get back together with Avery. How Avery and Tucker find their HEA after ten long years apart makes for a very enjoyable read. This book, The Cowboy's Second Chance Family by Leslie North is the third book in this author's Wells Brother's series. Readers who like to read second chance romance stories will enjoy this story

Tucker is a knucklehead. He shows up on his former love's doorstep with amnesia and can't understand why she isn't thrilled. Avery was dumped by Tucker but left with a constant reminder of him, their daughter Shanna. I thought the chemistry was good between the two and Shanna was cute. The best part was the sign, an important connection from the past that's helps with the new healing of the present. It's a good read for all cowboy romance lovers.

I love Second Chance romance books. The Cowboy's Second Chance Family, was a fantastic Second Chance story. Luckily Tucker's Amnesia doesn't last long. Avery was understanding but weary. I enjoyed their story. The story flowed very smoothly and quickly.

Easy and emotional.

This is the last book in the Wells Brothers Series but can be read as a standalone.

This book is the story of Tucker, a traveling photographer who returns to his family ranch. While helping his brothers he has a fall and gets amnesia. Trying to find shelter he ends up at his ex girlfriend's house, where as he tries to get his memory back he also makes other life changing discoveries that involve her and her daughter.

While this is a short book, it is filled with lovely moments and emotional ones. To me this was not extraordinary, as I don't relate much with the characters' world, but it's a very pleasant read to get your romance fix. All the characters are likeable and it's easy to empathize with them. All in all, a lovely read!

Leslie North consistently brings great characters and passionate romance to life. As a big fan of North's, her name provokes an automatic one-click from me. I am always entertained. Highly recommend. Who doesn't love a fresh start.

This is a Cowboy Romance, and this is the third book in the Wells Brothers Series. I have read and review the other books in this series. This ones is my favorite one by far. This is a short book just over 100 pages, but there is so much packed in those pages. This is a fast pace well written book. I am so glad I picked up this series. This book is about Tucker Wells and Avery Collins finding their love for each other again. They dated in High School, but they broke up and both of them still love each other. This book as so much drama and it is so sweet as well. I love all the characters. I wish that this book had some of the other brothers in it a little bit more. I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher (Relay Publishing) or author (Leslie North) via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review about how I feel about this book, and I want to send a big Thank you to them for that.
