This book drew me in with it's lovely wintery cover and the promise of Christmas in a cosy B&B! It definitely didn't disappoint.

A really lovely and heartwarming read about six guests that are locked in over the festive period. Ran by Sam, who is a passionate cook, and Reuben, a grumpy writer who doesn't actually seem to have any interest in the B&B, it definitely makes for an interesting dynamic and perhaps a Christmas of love!

Would absolutely read Kellie Hailes again.

Samantha has always loved Christmas at Snowflake B&B, and despite a change to who runs the place, she was determined as ever to carry on the tradition. When Reuben - a writer, arrives, he is the least festive person that Samantha has ever met, and she seems to have her work cut out for her.
When a storm forces everyone in the B&B to be locked in together, it falls upon Rueben and Samantha to keep things ticking over and giving the guests an experience they wont forget.

I really enjoyed this story and the dynamics between the leading characters. They both have such different personalities, and yet they seem to work so well together. And of course, there is most certainly a spark between them, which is wonderful to follow as their story progresses,

An enjoyable, light hearted festive read. I really enjoyed this lovely story.

I have read books by this author before and this was a festive delight and helped with my reading slump at the time.Samantha has always loved christmas at snowflake b&b and just because the previous owners have left she wasnt going to let that get in the way., when writer Reuben arrives and he is the least festive person ever its almost like Samantha has her work cut out for. Esepcially if she doesnt want the b&b run into the ground.

As guests arrive during a storm, they all end up locked in and its up to Samantha and Rueben to make sure they have a stay to remember. As we learn about the guests we also start to learn more about our hosts.
Tensions fly and i loved the contrsting personalities of the pair, i liked the conflict between them and the soft edges too. The description was delightful and all my senses were used as i read each page, i could smell the food, see the festive delights and it was just a joy to read.

Snowed In At Snowflake B&B by Kellie Hailes is such a sweet little festive read, I read it in just two sittings and would reccomend it to anyone looking for a festive romance.
The story touches on some sensitive issues, like domestic abuse and trauma. There is a lot of character development, the reader really gets to know both of the main characters and grow with them on their journey.

Suffering from writers block, thriller writer Reuben has just bought the idyllic Snowflake B&B on a whim, following a particularly difficult break up. Without the faintest idea on how to run a B&B, grumpy, anti social Reuben is completely out of his depth. Considering throwing in the towel he is surprised when out of the blue the powerhouse that is Sam, lands on his doorstep.

Larger than life Sam worked for the previous owners of Snowflake B&B, her second home, the B&B her refuge growing up. With a passion for cooking and a deep love for the B&B itself, the previous owners have hired Sam to help Reuben and save Snowflake B&B from ruin.
The arrival of Sam is just in time as Snowflake B&B and all it's guests find themselves snowed in.

Snowed In At Snowflake B&B by Kellie Hailes was a lovely book to help me to escape for a few hours from the current situation and leave me feeling all warm and wanting to read more. Read in a day I struggled to put this book down, I loved it.

Well this is a book that certainly has hidden depths.

There is rather a lot of character development packed between these pages, and I loved seeing the dynamic between Samantha and Reuben.

Both of them are rather complex but its the insight into Sam's mind, and her thought processes throughout that captured my attention. In addition her ability to cook delicious sounding food, she talks a very rapid pace, almost continuously and I loved trying to keep up with her.

She had a tendency to regularly through in friendly insults which were rather amusing given the amount of times her feet ended up in her mouth during the first meeting with Reuben.

Reuben is an author with writers block who has taken over Snowflake B&B, despite not really wanting to interact with people, or having the first thing about how to run a B&B. He's been let down in love in the past and is unsure what to do with the dynamo of Sam, who just showed up to help for that weekend, by arrangement of the previous owners.

Then there are the guests, two couples, including Stefan who it is rather hard to like at first, but then shows glimpses of another side to him that I rather liked. And Harry was just lovely.

As its looking like they will be snowed in Sam comes up with various activities for them to do in and around the B&B, including ice-skating and decorating for Christmas. The way the living room was decorated by Flo and Stefan was just really amusing.

I was so absorbed by this story that I read it in two sittings, and it was such a pleasure to read. Another incredibly enjoyable book from Kellie Hailes.

Thank you to Orion Dash and Netgalley for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

Reuben has just bought the Snowflake B&B and Sam arrives there to help him with his frist few guests. She used to work at the Manor Houes already so she knows the ropes – moreover, she loves the place, it was her safe haven when she needed help. And Reuben might be a successful thriller writer (who may, or may not, be struggling from a writer’s block at the moment) but he has no idea about running a B&B and would rather hide from his guests than entertain them. But now he might be stuck with their company for a bit longer than expected, as they are all snowed in. Can he and Sam make the weekend a success? Will they find a way to work together?

The beginning of this book was absolutely brilliant, it had me chuckling and thinking, yes, finally a great strong female leading character. Sadly, then, it started to drift to a far away land, the of the repeating and whiny one. I had a feeling that I am reading over and over again about Sam’s love to Manor house, how it saved her life, how hard her childhood has been and then her sudden explosion of anger and jumping to conclusions, well, I just got lost. Don’t get me wrong, pretty please, I assume I know what the author has tried to achieve here, touching upon one of the very difficult issues, but I had a feeling that I don’t have to be reminded on every single page about Sam’s past and her anxieties. Once in a while, in a right moment and matching circumstance would do, thank you.

The characters were altogether okay and I appreciate how the author tried to diversify them by creating such a colourful group of different personalities. While there was not enough depth to them for my liking, and they were overdone and their actions were sometimes inadequately to their age, they were easy to like.

I did like the idea of this book and wouldn’t have anything against being snowed in in such a cosy B&B to be honest. The setting was stunning and the winter wonderland truly brought to life by the author. It was already a book with a festive feeling to it, what with decorating competition, a lot of snow, ice skating and secret Santa.

Snowed in at Snowflake B&B - Kellie Hailes

Please can you take my booking now ready for next year??? Such a delightful read, it gives a warm feeling throughout.

The selection of guests that arrive are just wonderful and we get to know them all a little better as we read on. Sam and Reuben have the typical romantic feelings and ups and downs in this festive book but with the added fun of him being an author with a case of writers block, and you are rooting for them both.

You could not ask for more from a Christmas book, it includes snow, ice skating, secret Santa, a festive feast of drinks and treats and also a decorating competition - I just loved it. Kellie Hailes was a new author to me and I very much look forward to reading more from her in the future.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Orion Publishing for allowing me the chance to read and review this book!

This tells the story of Sam who goes to help out at the Snowflake B&B to help out the new owner Reuben. The B&B is very special to her as she spent a lot of time there as a child with the previous owners as she had a difficult childhood. The new owner is a successful thriller writer and struggles with both running the B&B and writing his new book. When Sam arrives to help out she along with the two bookings staying get snowed in and Sam goes all out to make their time special and impress Reuben so she can work there on a more permanent basis.

A few misunderstandings and complications happen along the way before the snow melts and will the B&B be a success or will it have to close?

An enjoyable festive read. Could you take my booking now? A stunning setting, set in a beautiful manor house, in a winter wonderland at Christmas. A perfect festive escape.

Sam and Reuben are the hosts at Snowflake B&B. Sam loves the Manor house, her safe haven, who envisaged owning it. Reuben, an author, the new owner has no experience of owning a B&B, and wants to hide from his guests and write his new book. Neither is looking for love so they can't get hurt but they both want to make the B&B a success.

Reuben and Sam are just such likeable characters. I loved the mixture of guests, differing ages and personalities coming together for Christmas and being stranded. Can the weekend be a success despite being snowed in? Can Reuben and Sam find a way to work together? A heartwarming, magical read.

Thanks to netgalley for the chance to read this book.

Another brilliant book from Kellie. Couldn’t put it down, read in less than 24 hours.

Reuben Richards buys the beautiful Snowflake bed and breakfast that Sam thought would one day be hers. Sam used to spend Christmas’s there cooking over the festive season with the previous owner.
Can her and Reuben get on and make the bed and breakfast work or will Reuben end up running the bed and breakfast into the ground?
