A great conclusion to the series. I love Chloe. Struggling to overcome past hurts while living her life to the fullest makes her so relatable. And Xavier. Hes always been one of my favorite characters. I especially love how he realizes the depth of feeling he has for Chloe and how his past with women wasn't as great as he thought. The chemistry between the two is sexy and steamy while the friendship is sweet. I'll miss all these characters.

This is my favorite book of the series. I just loved Chloe and Xavier! Chloe is just this free spirit and I couldn’t help but love her ... the way she talked to herself and truly believed that angels listened to her. Then there’s Xavier ... who wouldn’t love a hot guy in uniform, even though he was a playboy! All the ladies in town sure wanted a piece of him. I could just feel the pages burning when Xavier and Chloe were within a metre of each other.

I was a little disappointed in Xavier because even though he wanted Chloe for the last year, he didn’t stop dating ... but I guess that made it all the more realistic. I loved the banter between all the characters. Then the side story of Xavier's goddaughter Piper, is a very realistic view of what teenagers face today. I really wanted to give Piper’s mom a swift kick ... I just thought she was very selfish. That’s the sign of a great book when a person gets emotionally involved in the story. This is a series that I just didn't want to end.

Chloe is a self-help guru and expert yoga teacher. She practices what she teaches - openness, honesty, and following your heart. She and her two best friends have been working towards a common goal of success in a small California town. She has built up a strong business and is just about to host a large conference at the marina and conference center her friends have built. One of her other close friends, Xavier is a local police officer - and her complete opposite. Xavier has been very interested in Chloe since they first met, but she hasn't been interested in moving beyond the friend zone. As a result, he's been hooking up with other women in town while he was "waiting" for Chloe.

When Chloe finds out that her ex is the main attraction at the conference, Xavier takes a chance and pretends to be more than friends. Chloe doesn't want to do it - but she caves in - and quickly their fake relationship is anything but fake.

Overall, I liked the themes of putting your heart before your ego - and not allowing others to dictate your self worth. I didn't love the issues related to Xavier's sex life while he was "waiting" for Chloe. Obviously they weren't together in a relationship sense, but the amount of sex he was having while ostensibly interested in Chloe just didn't really sit well with me. If you are all in on another person - usually you aren't all that interested in others. It wasn't cheating per se - but it did make me doubt his actual commitment to Chloe. I also had mixed emotions about the final conflict in the book and its resolution.

This is the third book in a series - and I haven't read the other two - but I don't think you needed to. I think you would have had a better understanding of the female relationships - but otherwise - I think it is fine to start with this one.

Overall - I liked it - didn't love it.

I was fortunate enough to receive this through NetGalley. I haven't read a Skye Jordan book in some time so I'm glad I got this opportunity. I will say that this was the first book I read in this series and was able to follow along fine however now I NEED to read the first two because I loved all of the characters so much I want all of their stories. Xavier and Chloe are a bit of a slow burn with lots of resistance due to Chloe's belief that Xavier is a player only Xavier knows that he's only playing the other women in town until Chloe moves him out of the friend zone. Xavier's kind of perfect and he's a cop so all was right in my world while reading. lol Chloe is a badass in her own right. Business owner with multiple platforms and outlets only with a jaded heart from her ex. I loved their journey and once their relationship shifts from friends to lovers it's really sweet, a lot spicy and so much fun.

This is the third and I assume final novel about the 3 friends. It was a really good final episode and the chemistry between Z and Chloe was great. It did seem vert short but it was enjoyable from start to finish. I was expecting a little more in the interactions between Chloe and her ex though.

So far, this one is my favorite book in the Wildfire Lake Series. Maybe. I am still unsure. Xavier and Chloe are combustable with all their electricity they give off. You have seen them dance around this live story for a while. When Xavier sees his chance to help Chloe out, he takes it. Even a fake romance to keep her away from her ex is better than nothing. He is all in. He wants fake to become real.

And bless Chloe with all the yoga and calmness. That is the opposite of me!

Some of the reasons I read contemporary romance novels is for the fantasy aspect. As a reader you get caught up in those fluttery feelings and the passion of new love. It's wonderfully escapist and usually pretty uplifting. With all of the events of 2020, I've been reading even more from this genre. Clearly, I've needed a break from reality.

Swept Away was a nice escape, it just wasn't especially great. This is the 3rd book in the Wildfire series, but it can be read as a stand-alone. The prologue recaps how Chloe, KT and Laiyla meet. It's very hokey, but sets the stage for Chloe's character. She is a new age yogi, best selling self help novelist, spiritualist and budding entrepreneur. Oh, and of course beautiful. Xavier is a cop that has transferred to Wildfire from San Diego or San Francisco to look out for his goddaughter. Her father and his best friend was killed in the line of duty. Xavier falls for Chloe the first time they meet in a grocery store, but she keeps him in the friend zone. Her previous boyfriend cheated on her and she wants to prove to herself that she doesn't need a man in her life.

The ex shows up unexpectedly and Chloe allows Xavier to be her pretend boyfriend to keep the ex away from her. The match gets lit and for the most part things travel along the expected trajectory. The story was cute, sweet, pretty light and fluffy and a lot new agey. Here is an example:
"Whenever you crave recognition in life--as a valuable employee, for example, or a successful entrepreneur or a talented artist or a perfect mom--that is your ego talking. The ego is a powerful force that tempts you to ignore the spiritual nature of your heart. The ego wants you to do whatever it takes to bring about status or prestige. The heart wants you to be happy."
So, while the meaning and dialogue tries to be enlightening, the characters really aren't - the pretty girl with all the talent doesn't think she's good enough and has a lot of insecurities, the handsome cop really does have a heart of gold and a sensitive side.

Again, this was a nice book, just not a favorite.

This book is the 3rd in the series, and my favorite. The characters were created and intertwined from the first book, and all three characters get their story. The "mandatory" angst was there, but not overdone.

Overall, a good story and conclusion to the series.

I loved the ending to the Wildfire Lake series. Especially as it is Chloe and Xavier’s story. And what a story those two have. We've seen some of the banter between the two in the previous two books. This time around pretending to have a relationship, I saw Chloe slowly stop fighting her attraction to the wildly attractive cop. Trust is something hard for Chloe these days, throw in a teenage goddaughter trying to fit in at school and a former boyfriend who turns up there can only be complications. Z has a tough job in getting her to trust again while saving those he loves around them.

It was ok, predictable. I hadn't read the first two books, but that didn't seem to matter. Was hoping for more depth. Side characters were forgetable.

Good book - fair amount of steam and romance but I thought the subplot with Piper was distracting and Bondhi’s frequent appearances started to wear on me

Swept Away is the third and final book of the Wildflower lake series. I enjoyed reading this series and sorry to see it end, I loved the lead women. Chloe is the last one to get her story. She is cautious about love due to a breakup and has put her mental health first. Xavier is your good looking, player. As they tiptoe around their feelings for each other, they are best friends first, though the chemistry is there. The secondary storyline is Xavier’s 15-year-old goddaughter, she brings the drama. It was also nice to catch up with KT and Laiyla.

Good book, easy reading, Typical romance book with a bit of steam to get you a little hot under the collar, nice to read about the main characters getting past their own personal problems.

This is just shy of 5 stars for me. Chloe is the last of the her friends to find the one. Xavier thinks he should be top on the list but with his playboy ways and with how she was hurt in the past, she's hesitant.
The book was fast paced and fun to read. They had heat and chemistry. I liked how the characters interacted with old friends and new alike.
The only thing I didn't care for is that while Xavier was in lust with Chloe for a year be still played around. He loving her seemed rather quick.
Other than that I really enjoyed the drama and characters.

First off, lemme just say that this book is spicy so prepare yourself ;)

Chloe Hart runs her own yoga studio with her two best friends, and has spent the better part of the last year just finding herself, recovering from a nasty breakup. Xavier's a cop that moved to town to be around his goddaughter and to be supportive of her where her mother isn't. He's been pining after Chloe for the past year but they have a strong friendship that's cognizant of one another's feelings, goals and boundaries (or lack thereof).

When a blast from the past turns one of the most important events of Chloe's life upside down, these two put a new spin on the fake-dating trope. Plus, with some amazing friends on the side, Chloe's as protected as she can be!

Xavier seemed to be in tune with a lot of Chloe's emotions, even before she knew them herself. This is just a personal annotation, but I had a difficult time following along with Chloe's thought process at some points, mostly because I'm not used to her type of thinking - purging energy, positivity, meditation, etc. - and it was easier to see her from Xavier's POV.

The thing about this book that I had the most trouble with by the end was that we never really saw a resolution to Xavier's issue with his goddaughter. The book was focused solely on Chloe and Xavier and how one conflict (pertaining to said goddaughter) almost broke them, and even when that conflict was resolved, I was left with so many more questions. And we never got into much detail about Keith, either, which was a little disheartening.

Regardless, this was a fun, chemistry-inducing, spicy read!

I loved Chloe's and Xavier's book. We watched their chemistry sizzle across the first two books and we finally watched it explode and saw hearts soar.

Chloe deserves the guy who focuses on her and not other women, who gives her everything she needs and Z is that guy. These two became best friends and got to know each other before Chloe gave into their undeniable chemistry.

I think the book was over way too soon and we could have spent more time with these characters. I can't get over that at all the times pink showed up, pink is every where but it fits with her signs. Great book!

I really enjoy Jordan's novels, and try to read them fairly soon after the come out. However, I have no recollection of reading the previous entries into this series. Swept Away made me want to go back and seek them out. Chloe and Xavier are a cute couple, and the friends to lovers trope is a classic for a reason.

I picked this read because of the first two books in the series. The first book grabbed my attention. This one didn’t so much unfortunately. I loved Xavier. He was a great, patient, and kind guy who waited a long time for Chloe to figure out her insecurities. My problem was Chloe. She was going on and on about her trust and self esteem issues. I didn’t understand why Xavier bothered waiting so long. She didn’t deserve him. Unfortunately I wasn’t too much of a fan of this book. I loved the first book, so grab that one.

We have watched Chloe and Xavier dance since the very first story in this series and boy was this worth the wait. Chloe has been hurt and has sworn off men and Xavier has been so patient to build an amazing friendship with her. Once they are "forced" to be a couple the sparks fly and they realize they truly do love each other. I even learned how to think about some things from Chloe's teachings that will stay with me for a long time. Although this story is stand-alone - it is also a lovely story about friendship and to truly enjoy you should read all 3 in the series. I loved this story and series.

A yoga retreat at the marina suddenly puts Chloe’s head into a spin when the retreat leader turns out to be her ex. Xavier steps forward to say that they are dating to take the pressure off Bodhi being there. A fake relationship turns into friends with benefits. However, issues with Xavier’s goddaughter Piper stand to form a wedge between the two of them. Can they overcome the issues? Will Chloe ever be able to fully trust a man again?
