So very excited for the trilogy finale: A Vow So Bold and Deadly by Brigid Kemmerer! Susanna Clarke's new book is so very interesting too and so is Kesia Lupo's.

So I'll be honest in that the only sample I could read was The Mask Falling because the others would have spoiled the previous books.

The Mask Falling is a continuation of events from The Dawn Chorus which is a novella between book 3 (The Song Rising) and book 4 (The Mask Falling). Shannon has once again knocked it out of the park and this is only rhe first chapter. I can't say too much as this will be book 4 in The Bone Season series but you can immediately tell there is an emotional shift in Shannon's writing. We are on a separate story arc from the first three books and this is the beginning of the second. 

Writing about trauma in any shape or form is difficult to get right and Shannon handles it with the care it needs. From what this sample alone, I know that Paige's journey will be a long process of recovery from the previous books' events. 

Summary: I was excited for The Mask Falling before reading this, but it has made me all the more for it.

I am excited to read all these titles! I was hoping to get a sneak peak for the new SJM, but that's okay!

A great sample of some amazing fantasy books coming from Bloomsbury in late 2020 and early 2021. I'm definitely most excited for the finale of the Curse breaker series, although I would have loved a little snippet of the new Sarah J Maas book. 

Bloomsbury, you're spoiling us.

Really good samplers for a lot of books I’ll definitely be checking out, however I had already read A Court of Thorns and Roses.

A great sampler! I had already read A Court of Thorns and Roses but it was nice to read the other samples, especially We are Bound by Stars, that book sounds great and I will definitely be picking it up!

The end of an era has (unfortunately) come!
In January this beautiful trilogy concludes, with the awaited "A Vow So Bold And Deadly"!

I had not heard of some of these titles or authors before so it was great so be able to read a little snippet of each, I’ve added a couple to my never ending list. The only disappointing thing for me was the addition of A Court Of Thorns And Roses, I’m fairly confident every YA fantasy fan has read that by now so it would have been nice to read a chapter of the eagerly anticipated A Court Of Silver Flames.

This was a really great book of great samplers and I have not heard of some of the authors  before but they will be going on my TBR list. 

I was disappointed that one of the books is ACOTAR and would have preferred reading the upcoming book in the series

I'd already read a few of these and they weren't my favourites. Appreciate the opportunity to sample all the same.

I always love a sampler! A brilliant little collection. I’m so excited for VOW’s release (eeeeek!) It’s a shame that ACOTAR is featured and not a snippet of A Court of Silver Flames as it’s a highly anticipated book. 
But overall, the excitement grows for these releases!!!!!

A Vow so Bold and Deadly:
I could not read this as I have not ready any in the series but now I am really intrigued, these samplers are fun as it helps to see what new books are out there you might have missed.

A Court of Thorns and Roses
I was slightly sad this did not include a snippet from her new book being Published next year, I would love to see a snippet of Nesta and how she progresses through the story. The ACOTAR series is one of my favorite of all time. 

We are bound by Stars:
Here again I have not read book 1 but now I want to. This seems like a fantastic series to immerse yourself in .

The Mask Falling
I thought this was an odd choice for this novel but I really am trying to love this author more and I might need to reread this series from the beginning!

Dark Art
Another sequel, I have never heard of this author before but the covers for the series look brilliant, I am not sure if I would get this as it looks to be for a much younger audience but this could be a perfect introduction set to young readers wanting to get into fantasy.

Piranesi
I have not this authors previous book , but the hype around this and the snippet has made me a believer, I will definitely have to add this to my (already giant ) TBR!

I loved reading the Fantasy Titles from Bloomsbury 2020 Comic Con Sampler! It has samplers from some of my favourite authors and books that I have either read or have on my TBR list. It also introduces me to some books in the fantasy genre that I haven't read and has increased my interest in exploring those books. Two standout books in the Comic Con sampler that I am familiar with are The Vow So Bold and Deadly from The Cursebreakers series and A Court of Thorns and Roses from the ACOTAR series.

I have read the first two books in The Cursebreakers series and I am eagerly awaiting January to get my hand on A Vow So Bold and Deadly. Brigid is on of my all time favourite authors and what started as me picking up A Curse So Dark and Lonely (being a beauty and the beast retelling) has now left me with an immense admiration and adoration for the world of Emberfall, the characters and the story. A Vow is the epic finale in the series and one that I am certain is going to break my heart, keep me on edge and take me on a rollercoaster of emotions.

Another one of my favourite authors is Sarah J Maas who is also known as the Queen of fantasy in the Bookstagram world. I was introduced to the ACOTAR series earlier this year and it since reading it, my life has truly changed. The series had a profound impact on me and it through the themes and characters, I learnt so much about life and myself. I often find myself dreaming of Velaris, the Night Court, The Inner Circle and Azriel (who is certainly my book boyfriend). Through Feyre, the adventures we experience are magical and I wish to live in a world where the stars listen and dreams are answered. 

I highly recommend both these book series and the Comic Con Sampler and Bloomsbury truly deliver the very best of fantasy there is to offer!

Even though the chapters are short they grab the reader's attention right away and these titles are amazing and so intriguing! Above all, I can't wait for "The mask falling" by Samantha Shannon. I loved reading these chapters about Paige and Warden, showing how they are dealing with the aftermath of Paige's capture and torture, escaping in Paris. I can't wait to read more!

Some intriguing prospects here and I'm excited to see what fantasy authors will produce over the course of the year. Samples are short and punchy but grab your attention and make you want to read on.

This sampler featured: A Vow So Bold and Deadly, A Court of Thorns and Roses, We Are Bound by Stars, The Mask Falling, Dark Arts and Piranesi. I read all the extracts apart from A Court of Thorns and Roses because I've devoured these books numerous times before and The Mask Falling because I'm not up to date with the series but I do want to read it.

All the extracts had 3/4 chapters to give you a good idea of what the book and characters were about. I am left pretty desperate for A Vow So Bold and Deadly and Piranesi. I definitely feel intruigued by Dark Arts too.

This was a fab sampler and these releases are all ones to watch out for.

A fantastic glimpse at upcoming titles, just enough to whet the appetite. I'm definitely going to have to reread the Brigid Kemmerer books before tackling the new one. The other are very intriguing and I can't wait to read the whole books. It's going to be a really good year!

Bloomsbury Teasers

This is a great idea for readers to get a taste of what’s to come from Bloomsbury and to build up the hype among readers. I was sad it wasn’t a sample of A Court of Silver Flames but I’m assuming ACOTAR was included because of the rebrand. A Vow So Bold and Deadly is one of my most anticipated releases. I’m interested to read the other books too!
