This was such a fun book, and I loved reading about Zoe’s dating disasters! At first I took a while to get into it but once I did I read so fast. Zoe made me laugh so much, and it was lovely to see how things were going at The Ginger Cat.

My favourite character has to be Frazzle, since he reminds me so much of my two cats.

It was really refreshing to not know or guess immediately who Zoe was going to end up with. I wouldn’t say it’s a bad thing when it’s obvious, but it was definitely a nice change to go into a book without knowing who the main character would likely end up with (if anyone).

Thank You, Next by Sophie Ranald is an adult contemporary romance where we see Zoe, who is a dating website and has enormous weird pictures (you know what I mean :P). She has had pretty weird relationships in the past and does not want to die alone with her cats.

Sounds Cliché right? Now, what drove me towards reading this book was Zoe's best friend Robbie, who lives by his horoscope. Robbie dares her to work his way until she finds The One. Now the question is will she find it?

The story starts very slowly according to me. But I liked the horoscope part alot. She meeting various guys with different horoscope was kind of fun and also slightly hilarious to read about at some point. The story of a chef, Zoe is just like us. So this felt more realistic rather than those high expectations magical rom-com books and movies.

I would have liked more if I got to read more about Adam and Zoe together. Overall it is a good and light read. The writing style is pretty good too.

I’m a big Sophie Ranald fan, and this book met all my expectations. The main character, Zoe, has had some really bad dates and is fed up with looking for a good guy. Her best friend Robbie lives according to his horoscope, and tells her she should find a guy by working through the zodiac signs.
As you can imagine, the dates get pretty hilarious for one reason or another, but does that mean Zoe will never find a guy? 4 stars.

A heartfelt and tragically realistic account of the horrors and growth that can occur from modern dating. Read in one sitting or else it’s too hard to watch all the bed relationships unfold. I really appreciated the strong female friendships in this book and definitely consider it the best part. It’s I credibly difficult to read a book that has realistic situations in which women are in bad relationships and men are just the absolute worst.

I have read a lot of dating books in the last few months and sadly couldn't get into this one for some reason but I may try reading again sometime. Just couldn't get into for now. Thank you Netgalley and publishers for the chance to read and review this.

Zoe is finally ready to date, after being hung up on a missed opportunity for far too long. We follow her along, as she starts online dating, using her horoscope and potential astrological matches to guide her.

As one can expect in the online dating world, there are far more misses than hits and some of the misses are major (and incredibly funny). This is a fun light-hearted read -- with Zoe's dates and friendships, this is an entertaining book that will have you laughing and cringing throughout!

This book was not enjoyable at all. I read about half of it before I had to call it quits. It seems like it barely even has a plot, the characters aren't very likable, and it was just boring.

Zoe is just beginning to get over the heartbreak of losing the love of her life. A chef, she and her cat Frazzle live upstairs from the bar she cooks at aptly named The Ginger Cat.

She starts to get a bit of pressure to begin to date again from the other chef, Ronnie, who seems to have no problem finding trysts. He insists she at least put herself out there on one of the many dating apps that exist. She does and after her first date, or no show date, she decides she can’t find love this way. But then she discovers a dating astrology app, which partners love compatibility through your signs. Zoe thinks she has hit the jackpot! She signs up! Let the love match begin!

And then it doesn’t go as well as anticipated. She finds one match to be perfect! So perfect that not only do they never go on another date, but he blocks her! Then there is another date which after serenading her for one hour has her married with children! Finding Mr. Right may be very wrong for Zoe.

Then the stars align, not on the app but accidently and she literally falls for someone. She seems to think she has met “the one”. OK, so he’s not that great in bed, that will get better, and he does not have a real job but that could change right? and he is a bit of a slob, but at least she can clean up after him. It’s still a boyfriend and she can stop dating.

As Zoe debates the pro’s and con’s of being in love, what she seems to miss are the goings on at the bar and how sometimes you may not need an an astrology app to see the vision right in front of you. Perhaps sometimes the only help you really need when looking for love is no help at all.

Thank You, Next is an enjoyable, comical story as are all Ranald’s books. This book will take you away from the toil of one’s life and plunge you into a world of lightness, wit and of course, love.

When Zoe decide to start dating again, she figures using her astrology app to date her way through the signs and see if her fate is really in the stars.

Bad date after bad date. You really start to feel for Zoe. How can she manage these terrible dates. How do these men actually exist! It’s all so relatable being a single woman in your late twenties (or early thirties). Predictable and cheesy, like watching a hallmark movie, such an easy and enjoyable read.

My first book with Ronald was “just saying” which tells the story of Alice and joe with Zoe as a background character. I liked Alice so much and didn’t like Zoe who was tying to come between Alice and her boyfriend Joe, so I found it hard to connect with her and like her during her story after disliking her in that book. If I was able to separate the two better I would have enjoyed it more as I would of cared about these things happening to her more than I did.

The book follows Zoe (who is an Aquarius) as she dates every star sign, starting with the least compatible, to find The One. This dating strategy makes for a fun and entertaining plot. This book is so incredibly relatable, full of hilarious one-liners and peppered with cliff hangers. The plot, language, dialogue and all the characters were very realistic, which I really liked. Modern issues like feminism, climate change and domestic abuse were discussed in a serious light. I also loved that the main location used throughout the book is the Ginger Cat pub, and the main motifs are the star signs and Dungeons & Dragons, it’s a really unique concept and I loved it!

However, I do have a couple of small issues with the book. Although I loved the unique concept, the book was a slow burner and was a bit long-winded. It wasn’t until a third in that it started picking up speed and I was constantly picking it up. I would have also loved a longer ending and felt it ended very abruptly. Considering the rest of the book had been written so thoroughly to create a lovely picture and the ending concept was so perfect, I was disappointed that the ending was rushed and just stopped. I was also disappointed that when the plot reached when Zoe had her date with the ‘spy’, the disappointment and defeatist attitude Zoe had wasn’t as intense. I believe so much more could have been done for that section. Although Zoe ended up with the guy I was rooting for, I wish there had been more dialogue between Zoe and this man throughout the book, because they only had a couple of conversations. It would have been nice to have learned more about this man throughout the book too than just at the ending. Their relationship felt very rushed at the end.

Overall, this book is a pleasure to read, it is witty, refreshing and cute. It was lovely reading about badass, empowering, strong women. It follows the minefield of online dating, disappointment, dick pics and finding love in yourself. I can’t wait to read more of Sophie Ranald’s books.

Thank You, Next was a light read with a sprinkle of funny moments. The main character, Zoe, relied heavily upon a horoscope app to influence what star sign she dated. While she eventually found Mr Right, I wish that we could have seen more of him and had more of an insight into his life and personality.

The Dungeons and Dragon games and scenarios were completely lost on me - they were far too detailed, seemed to ramble on endlessly and to me (who couldn't care less about the game) seemed really pointless.

Online dating is the worst! Or is that dating in general? Another great London-based rom-com good for fans of Mhairi McFarlane and Josie Silver.

Zoe is a little bit desperate to find love, after she tried and failed to win her old boyfriend back. She is still working and living at the pub, and generally pretty happy with her life, except for the lack of a man.

Most of the story is about Zoe’s numerous dates. She sure has plenty of stories to tell after all this. But that’s all it was, really. We’re going along with Zoe on all of her failed dates, watching as she loses confidence in herself, while she consults an astrology app, hoping for someone else to guide her actions. I didn’t particularly care about Zoe or her dismal dating life.

Adam feels almost like a footnote. He hovers along on the periphery of all Zoe’s drama, until right at the end. The two of them are sweet together, but not especially inspiring.

This was such a cute, fun, and lighthearted read. It had a few moment where I found myself laughing out loud. I liked Zoe’s attitude and personality, but at times I had to eye roll at her. Other than that, I really enjoyed it. Definitely the type of fun read you would need in between reading thrillers and other genres.

Zoe is a chef at the Ginger Cat pub in London, named after the stray cat she found and adopted, who had become her only male companion. Feeling she's missing something, she creates a Tinder profile, where she discovers men are fascinated with sending pictures of what's in their pants. After she becomes discouraged, her friend tells her she should make it into a game. She decides to date one man from each star sign, leaving the most likely matches until last to see if her astrology app is right. Her dates are mostly disasters and getting progressively worse. Will she ever find The One?!
Reading this hilarious book made me so glad I met my husband before the time of dating apps. I think I would have given up after the date with the guy who brought his kid. I really enjoyed this book. Thank you to Bookouture and Sophie Ranald for the laughs!

Thank You, Next, is a great book in theory, though I felt myself being bored through most of the book. I couldn't help but chuckle at the failed dates Zoe had, but at one point I felt like we were turning in circles.

At the beginning, I was over the moon that there would be vegan representation in this book, but it ended up making me uncomfortable sometimes, which I suppose stems from the fact that I am vegan myself and I suspect for very different reasons than the character... I would love to see more unapologetically vegan heroines for the animals... *sighs*´However, this fact has no effect on my rating.

Zoe came across as a smart and self-sufficient and established woman and sometimes I just really wanted to hit her to make her see sense. I would also have enjoyed to see more of the secondary characters because it sometimes felt like they were only there to further her story (such as her co-worker).

All in all, I did like it and I especially liked the story but the execution could've been a bit smoother.

I love this author! I've read/ listen to a good amount of books by Sophie Ranald and she always makes me smile and feel a little giddy. Had some laugh out loud moments and the characters were likeable.

This was a sweet and , light hearted read with a couple of laugh out loud moments. Perfect fluff for the cold, winter nights ahead. Worth a read.

This book sounded like a lot of fun but I felt it dragged on a bit at times. The characters were all likeable though and the ending was really sweet.

Throw in an adorable cat, some intense Dungeons and Dragons sessions, and an adorable kitty sidekick, you've got yourself a wonderful mix!

"Thank You, Next" was a hilarious rom-com-like novel that left me laughing nonstop at so many points! If you're looking for something lighthearted and breezy and need a good book to lift up your mood, I highly recommend this one.

As someone who is a huge astrology fan, I was incredibly excited to get my hands on this book and it definitely did not disappoint! Zoe' narration is relatable and hilarious, especially when talking about the guys she meets on online dating apps.

I absolutely loved the fact that the guy she ended up with was not obvious from the start! Sometimes novels get a bit too predictable and it leaves me feeling bored midway, but this book kept me on my toes because I was constantly trying to figure out who it was! Part of me does wish it was revealed a tad earlier though, just so the second half of the book could be focused on developing the relationship, but it was still super cute nonetheless. Also can I just say, some of the guys she went out on dates with made me want to punch them in the face so badly, so I was so happy whenever Zoe stood her ground and stood up for herself. I love a novel with a badass heroine who knows her worth!

Overall this was a really enjoyable read! I never heard of Sophie Ranald's books before but now I'll definitely be on the lookout for more from her!
