I enjoyed reading this book but it didn’t wow me. It was really funny at the beginning when Zoe went on a date with someone off a dating app. Her goal was to date a guy from each star sign. She assumed her first date was a spy but he turned out to be a jailbird. Another funny moment was when she went on a date with a Pisces and he organised a cringey romantic dinner on the park bandstand. The public watched as the date invited his friend to be their waiter and played the violin to “woo” her. Obviously she turned him down and he then went on to send her abusive messages. I think this portrays the reality of dating apps and how difficult it is to find the right man. Zoe then had another date at a burger bar and the man brought his son along, who embarrassed her by placing a whoopee cushion on the chair. She then ended up getting dragged into a climate change March where her & her friend Dani stood out as they were dressed to go clubbing. This was where Zoe met a fellow vegan called Jude who rushed into a relationship with her and used her for free rent and takeaway meals. In the end she ended up getting with Adam the dungeon master. However it was obvious this was going to happen as soon as he was introduced. Overall this book had funny moments, however towards the end it became boring.

This book is an absolutely brilliant laugh out loud romantic comedy, Zoe’s dating stories are enough to put anyone off tinder for life! I absolutely loved it and can’t wait to read her others 😍 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A fun light hearted reading about online dating where Zoe goes on dates with men with all the different zodiac signs. Reading this book made me glad I was married! This was such a cute book! Thank you Netgalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Zoe, a chef in a local pub, is on her late 20s when she realizes that she is finally over her ex boyfriend, who’s girlfriend, Alice, is Zoe’s boss. At the same time she realizes that she is going to die alone, without a partner that is, having as her only company her ginger cat. So Zoe decides to takes matters into her own hands, as per her sous chef’s advice, and lands herself on Tinder. And as if that was not enough, she throws in another app, one related to zodiac signs and plans her Tinder dates based on their zodiac signs, trying to find the perfect match, starting from the one sign that seems to be the least compatible with hers, making her way up until she find Mr. Perfect.

Online dating can be a bit of a struggle. Dating as such surely is! But the kind of anonymity and freedom internet provides you with can be a real thing. So Zoe ends up with tons of photos of a particular part of men’s anatomy, while she tries to find actual men she would possibly date. Strange as it seems, she goes on various dates with people she would never do at any other chance. Sure, she get’s to see their picture alright, but photos are not enough to give you the image of that person. So she ends up having a date with a man that has prepared a romantic dinner on a hill, one that should be saved for wedding proposals I’d say, and who pretty much forced her vegetarian self to eat oysters and listen to his flat mate playing the violin while a number of spectators were filming them! And that was not even the worse of those dates, if you count the guy that showed up completely drunk, or the other own that brought his own kid on their date and pretty much told her that he is looking for a stay at home mother for his son!

I could really see where she was coming from. As she got closer to her thirties, she got all stressed up about ending up alone. But this was too soon in her life to react like this. It’s not something I would do, so I didn’t relate to her fear, but I could play along. Zoe went from one stupid decision to another, believing low of herself and taking decisions about her life based on a daily quote an app would give her. There were times that I wanted to tell her to wake up and stop wasting her life with people that do not treat her the way she deserves! Eventually, she did wake up and I was glad she took her own advice.

All the dating thing seems to be a big part of the book, so I could do with a bit more details or funny dating stories. It seemed that this part was a bit brief for my liking. I did enjoy the gym part and I liked that Zoe got this habit of daily exercising, as well as the fact that she made an actual friend there. Her life seems to be very lonely so a friend like Dani was a good addition to it.

Low self esteem was portrayed very well I have to say. The reader can easily see what Zoe is doing. putting up with a person she shouldn’t because she is afraid she would end up alone for the rest of her life. And I’m pretty sure many readers will relate to this part, while others will be on her back, asking why she is not following her own advice and dump the guy!

Overall, it was a fast and funny read, one that can be relatable to many!

Thank you to NetGalley & Bookouture for an advance copy of this book. The views expressed are my personal and honest opinion.

Zoe has been on many disastrous dates through online dating. Ready to give up on dating her friend challenges her to let horoscopes decide on compatability. After meeting someone who on paper is perfect has she found Mr Right? A funny, lighthearted read and very relatable. A great escape. Couldn't help but smile.

Thank you to Netgalley and Bookouture for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

The writing is great and the story has potential but sadly I had to DNF the book. It was more women’s fiction than romance and when there wasn’t a male lead even at the 25% mark, I knew I couldn’t continue. I tried to come back to it a few times but I just wasn’t connecting with the book.

I’ll probably try reading it again later but for now I’m putting it on hold.

I’m giving it a 3 star rating for the quarter I read.

This one is a fast paced read full of humor. The dating disasters had me laughing and grateful for my own relationship. The characters are good as well. Zoe was a bit naive and oblivious but became more likable by the end. Her HEA was easy to figure out but the road to get there was funny and full of pitfalls. I also appreciated the more intense storyline involving Dani. Those issues were handled really well.

First, I would like to thank Sophie Ranald, Bookouture, and NetGalley for providing me with this book so I may bring you this review.

Sophie Ranald had me cracking up laughing throughout her latest book Thank you, Next! Ironically, I have said those exact same words after online dates have gone bad. So, I totally could understand where Zoe’s character was coming from.

I loved the cute cartoonish graphic design on the cover.

Zoe had me rolling on the floor laughing about her conversations of dick pictures, her obsession with zodiac signs for compatibility, how the gym she joined reminded her of a sex dungeon. So many hilarious conversations all revolving around dating and sex or lack there of in this book.

The horoscope advice was inspiring, spot on and fun to read.

Even though Dani and Zoe seemed like opposites I liked the friendship that they formed at the gym.

I loved that Zoe was a chef and created Vegan dishes where her partner in crime cooked all the food with faces on them. This way she could taste her culinary masterpieces.

Unlucky in love Zoë works as a chef in a pub called The Ginger Cat. She also lives in the flat above along with the pubs namesake , Frazzle, a fluffy ginger moggie. Any book with a gorgeous cat in it gets my vote every time. He is such a great character

Zoë and fellow chef Robbie come up with a plan for Zoë to date men with different zodiac signs. This will test the theory that some signs are a perfect match and others should be a no, no. What actually happens is Zoë lurches from one dating disaster to the next as she works her way through the zodiac of dates found on the famous dating app.

This is a fun, light-hearted and humourous read which I demolished in almost one sitting. It was the perfect escape from a dreary Sunday in lockdown. A completely new author to me but I will definitely read a book by Sophie Ranald again. Thank you to Netgalley, Sophie Ranald and Bookoutre for the opportunity to read this in exchange for an honest review.

When Zoe realizes she's going to end up being single forever if she doesn't get out there, she decides to join tinder and date through the zodiac signs. After multiple horrible dates and an ever growing collection of dick pics, she begins to wonder if she will ever find the one.

I thought this was a super cute and hilarious book. The terrible dates will have you laughing out loud. Zoe was a very likeable character, as were the supporting characters. I may be a bit biased, being married to a DnD nerd and being one as well, but I loved the DnD aspects of the book. NERDS DESERVE LOVE TOO!!

Thank you to, @NetGalley and @Bookouture from whom I received a copy of this e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Thank You, Next tells the story of Zoe and her dating (mis)adventures in her search for love in the age of swiping apps. Zoe, at the encouragement of a friend, decides to give dating apps a go in an attempt to find the one. She utilizes Tinder and as a side option a Zodiac Star App to try to find her perfect match.

Obviously, much dating disasters ensue and much unsolicited pictures too. 🙈 I found Zoe’s dating misadventures amusing, and truly felt for her – cringing along at some of her horrible encounters. Poor Zoe! It also made me grateful that I never attempted the swipe apps and am no longer on the dating scene.

The first half of the book was more dating misadventures, while part two had a bit more of Zoe trying to make the relationship work because it felt like it should. Overall, I would say it was fun, light read that I would recommend to fans of Romantic Comedies with dating mishaps.

A fun, flirty rom-com, Thank You, Next is a quick and easy read that has all the hilarity, pitfalls and trappings of dating in the digital age. It’s the perfect read for a rainy Sunday spent indoors chillaxing on couches or in beds.

It’s for Cat lovers, and Bird lovers, and Pub lovers, and Food lovers, and Drink lovers, and Fitness lovers, and Nerd/Gaming lovers, and Love lovers.

And can I just say, that I have never ever wanted to play Dungeons and Dragons more so than I do right now at this moment....

This story follows Zoe, a 28 year old who is still hung up on her ex but ready to get back onto the dating scene. After talking with her co-worker/friend, Robbie, and consulting with an astrology app on her phone, Zoe decides to date her way through the zodiac, starting with her least compatible sign and moving her way up to her most compatible sign via dating apps.

As a 20-something and an active user of dating apps, I felt like I was the target audience for this book. However, I found that not to be the case. It seemed like the author wasn’t super familiar with how dating apps work and really exaggerated the interactions Zoe had. The sheer amount of dick pics she gets sent was just ridiculous (and is it even possible to send a dick pic on most dating apps?). I think the concept of this book was definitely there- mixing astrology with dating to see how accurate it is- but it wasn’t well executed in my opinion.

I also found it to be super predictable. I knew from the second Zoe met the guy she ends up with that they would inevitably end up together- she goes on a string of bad dates just to realize her match was in front of her the entire time. Zoe was also an incredibly annoying and unlikeable character for me personally. To be completely honest, I highly debated DNFing this one. It has a few cute scenes but nothing I haven’t seen before in other (better) rom coms I’ve read. Overall, definitely not my favorite romance I’ve read this year.

Dating sucks. Dating sucks when you have a myriad of dating apps where you get ghosted, attempted to be scammed, or get dick pics. YES I HAVE TO ALL! The worst part of it is is when you are actually invested in a guy but then it turns sour - and that’s “Thank You, Next”.

This was my first read by Sophie Ranald. The setting is in London so of course the UK love vortex pulled me in. Zoe is a chef at a pub and she relays the state of her sad love life to her friend, Robbie. He suggests that she takes her dating app to a whole new level of dating guys by using the zodiac as her handbook. We are then on a rollercoaster ride watching Zoe’s train wreck of dates and decision-making.

Zoe is not one of my favourite female characters in a romance novel to be honest and perhaps because as the reader, I can see why life is a whirlwind for her. She reminds me of the women in Sophie Kinsella books: I want to slap some common sense into them - of course this coming from a single woman who is an emotional basket case so who am I to say...?

If I could change one thing in the book it would be for Zoe and her love interest to have happened way sooner. Without that, the story dragged a little for me and that’s probably because of where my headspace was. Overall, it was a nice, cute read and if you are a Kinsella fan, you’ll adore this book, too.

“Thank You, Next” is out November 30, 2020. Thanks to Netgalley and Bookouture for sending me this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you to Netgalley and bookouture for allowing me to review this book.

I found this book quite a slow read but once I was into it I really enjoyed it. I liked how the story came together and how every part of the story was already built up throughout the book. I found some of the book extremely amusing, come on, who hasnt had a dick pic sent to them 🤣 it certainly wouldn’t persuade me to want to date 🙈.

I found Zoe a very likeable character but would of liked to of known more about the characters who were in the background too. I would of liked to of known more about Adam and who he was. I think the importance of Dani’s situation was overshadowed by everything else in the book although it was extremely important.

Overall I would rate this book ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Look out for this book being released on the 30th November 2020.

This. Book. Is. Perfect!

I was 100% hooked by Thank You, Next by the second paragraph, and when I finished reading it late at night (because I couldn't put it down) I immediately searched for more books by Sophie Ranald and have no regrets about the money I'll be spending buying up her collection because it will be money well spent if the rest of her books are as charming.

I think I loved everything about Thank You, Next, including the huge sense of relief I felt at having my own steady Happily Ever After, because Zoe's struggles to find her HEA were awkward and cringey and so very REAL that when she and her man finally get it all figured out my sense of rightness was once again restored.

Keeping this short, because I have my next Sophie Ranald all queued up!

I found this book very easily read, and it grasped my attention from the first page.
I loved how it was relevant to today, and the dating apps for both boys and girls, I loved how it touched on the male dating male aspect as it isn't spoke of alot.
I loved the who's star sign idea, this is something that would intrigue me.
The book overall was very good and one I would recommend to friends as a light read.
Thankyou for allowing me to read in exchange for an honest review

This book was the perfect escape. It was lovely and fun. It was my first book by this author and I will definitely be on the look out for more!!

Now on to the good stuff! Thank You, Next was a super easy read that was also extremely relatable for me. Zoe is similar to me in so many ways. She has a cat, is vegan, and enjoys playing Dungeons and Dragons. Plus she has some crazy experiences with online dating (totally been there). Zoe’s stories actually made me laugh out loud a couple of times, especially when her best friend Dani chimes in. I haven’t read the first book in the series but I don’t think that takes away from the story.

While trying to get over her ex, Joe, Zoe decides to start an online dating account to date through the zodiac. She is on a quest to date a man of each star sign to see just how compatible they really are. Will Zoe be able to find the man of her dreams by looking to the stars?

This book made me realize just how lucky I am to not have to date anymore. Zoe’s journey through online dating is a fair representation of how a lot of people date in this day and therefore I believe it would be extremely relatable for a wide variety of people. I always find romance books somewhat predictable and Thank You, Next is no exception, but that doesn’t take away from the story for me.

I was hoping to be able to see more of the main romance but given that Zoe and the main love interest don’t get together until the last chapter or two you only get a small glimpse. Here’s hoping for another book in this series so we can see a little more into their relationship! I would love to see a new book with Dani as the main character with some more glimpses into Zoe’s life.
