This is a community with a lot of secrets and somebody is revealing them. The story is a good read but a bit predictable. I also felt that I could not really like any of the characters.

Jake Merriden runs a local village GP practice. His father Tom gives him part time support. There is no love lost between Jake and Tom. A serial philanderer, Jake is convinced his father’s behaviour led to his mother’s suicide.  Jake’s wife Emily is practice manager. They’ve had a good marriage apart from one incident a while back. But now Emily is beginning to suspect Jake’s absences, particularly during the evening, might not be for work reasons.  There is more trouble brewing when certain villagers  begin to receive anonymous messages.. Malicious notes containing the sort of information that could only have come from the surgery.
So here we have it. Two stories running parallel. Emily, more and more convinced Jake is having an affair and someone in the community stirring up trouble. Dipping in and out of both Emily and Jake’s viewpoints it was frustrating to see how easily their relationship began to fracture.  Emily begins to suspect everyone, even her best friend Sally who works with her at the surgery.  The anonymous notes eventually lead to a tragic incident. Who is this and why are they targeting certain people? Everyone at the practice is suddenly a suspect.
Loads of twists and turns in this unputdownable read with some surprises as we finally reach the end and all is revealed.. Yet another well-deserved 5 stars for Sheryl Browne.

It was quite a good book , a bit of a slow burner . Not a great deal of surprises with the story . I’m afraid it wasn’t my favourite book of hers but still worth a read .

This started off a little bit slowly for me , unusually for one of Sheryl' but once I got about a third of the way in I couldn't put it down . Emily who is married to Jake has two teenage kids Millie and Ben . She works at the Dr's surgery where her husband is a GP , after reading one of Jakes emails she is convinced he is having an affair but not sure who with , she gets so paranoid that she suspects pretty much everyone . Meanwhile mysterious letters are arriving at villagers houses sharing secrets only someone at the practice would know with terrible consequences . Lots of suspects , red herrings and a really good read

Another winner by this author kept me up reading late into the night.Tense chilling the question of who you can really trust.Looking for a well written thriller I highly recommend this one.#netgalley #bookoutture

Emily's life is turned upside down when she reads a letter that indicates that her husband Jake is having an affair.  Emily begins to search for the truth and ends up learning lots of secrets.  Then more letters appear, revealing secrets about lots of different people.  Emily ends up under suspicion given that she works in the doctor's surgery and has access to everyone's personal information.  Is it Emily or someone else behind the letters?  This was a thrilling tale full of secrets and twists.  We meet a variety of interesting characters and are kept guessing and turning the pages in anticipation until the end. Thank you Bookouture and NetGalley for an early release of Trust Me.  I didn't like this even though I did read it very fast.  Too many plots going on which made it hard to have it pull together.  The ending was very childish, the whole book really wasn't great.  I have enjoyed Sheryl Browne's other books just not this one.

Trust me in saying you will want to read Trust me!

Good stong likeable characters, totally keeps you on your toes loved all the twists. 

A engaging read you will not want to put down.

Told from the perspective of several characters, we meet Emily, Jake and their two teenage children, Ben and Millie.  Jake is a GP, and Emily is the Practice Manager at the surgery.  One day, Emily sees an email sent to her husband, which suggests he is having an affair.  She doesn’t know what to believe and keeps it to herself, but when patients of the surgery begin receiving letters divulging personal and confidential information about people they know, Emily wonders if they are linked.  The information in all of the letters could only have come from someone with access to patient records at the surgery, and before long all of the staff working there are under suspicion.  As Emily begins to wonder who is passing the patients most trusted secrets on, she finds out that there are a lot more secrets being hidden by the people she knows best.

Wow, this was such a thrilling read!!  Emily and Jake seem like the perfect couple, but when she begins to suspect him of having an affair, the whole dynamics within the family are affected, including those with their teenage children. I liked Emily’s character and have to admit I did feel sorry for her.  As her story moves on, you begin to see that she can’t really trust anyone as everyone she is close to seems to hiding devastating secrets!  I also liked Jake’s character, and whilst I sympathised with Emily’s suspicions of him, I also felt for him as at the beginning he didn’t really have a clue what was going on between them!!  

The storyline threw out LOTS of secrets, not just in their family, but with their friends and patients from the surgery.  It was obvious confidential information was being leaked from the surgery, but I just couldn’t work out who was responsible.  There are plenty of suspects to chose from, some with obvious motives and some without, and the storyline twisted and turned throughout leaving me to swap and change my opinion of the different characters.  The consequences of these secrets being divulged were traumatic and upsetting, and certainly made me think about who does have access to your personal confidential records!!!  

As the storyline moves on, the finger of suspicion is pointed to almost everyone, and the author has done a fabulous job of keeping who is responsible under wraps until well towards the end!  I loved the way there were other “mini” plots woven into the main storyline, particularly regarding Emily and Jake’s children, and thought the author was very clever in linking all the stories together by the end.

I loved the suspense of it all, and equally loved trying to work it all out!  It was fast paced, gripping and had more tension than a tightrope!!!  The storyline was easy to follow and it was so addictive that I finished it within a day!  Full of secrets, lies, deceit and mistrust, this is a fantastic read!!  There are a few lessons to be learnt from this book but the main one is don’t trust anyone!!  Would definitely recommend!!

Wonderful, suspenseful read! Soooo many twists & turns with numerous red herrings until you’re almost dizzy! It gets a bit far out there as the protagonist begins to suspect nearly every person she encounters (thankfully, there is a reason for her paranoia). And the ending has more than one big surprise, too. This is my favorite Sheryl Browne book to date. Clear your Sunday afternoon & dive in. You won’t wanna resurface until the end!

Trust Me is the latest story by Sheryl Browne. Trust Me is an interesting look at how lack of trust and lies (even by omission) can affect a family, putting them in crisis. I want to thank NetGalley and Bookouture for an early copy to review.

This was such a good read! I didn't expect this book to be as good as it was from the description, but it was a really entertaining read.
The story itself was really well done, I liked the pacing and although there were many characters it was easy to remember all of them. I liked the split POV between different characters as well as the occasional timeline jumps, since they really kept the suspense. The pacing was really well done and I finished this in one sitting, not wanting to put it down.
I was afraid the ending might ruin my good impression but it positively surprised me. I didn't anticipate the plot twist and I really liked Millie's story and her as a character specifically. I wasn't the biggest fan of the second part of the ending, but it wasn't that big of a dealbreaker.
I still really enjoyed the suspense and how everything came together in the end, which is crucial for me to enjoy a book. The writing style was also really nice and easy to read and I would definitely pick up more books from this author in the future.

I have read one book by Sheryl Browne before (The Affair) and I really didn't like it, but the blurb for this one sounded so intriguing that I thought I would give her another go. I'm glad I did!

Emily is the practice manager at a GP surgery in a small, tight-knit community, where her husband also works as a GP. Someone has managed to access confidential information about some of the patients and is using it to wreak havoc. Emily finds herself prime suspect, but has her own suspicions about those close to her. 

I really enjoyed the story, I thought it was a bit different and brought something quite new to the genre. There was quite a large cast of a characters but it was easy to keep them all straight and they all brought something to the table. Edward and Joyce had a special place in my heart and their storyline really got me in the feelings! I wasn't keen on the main character at first, I thought she was giving her husband a hard time for no good reason, but certain things came to light later in the story to partially excuse her behaviour so I suppose I can let her off.

Overall this was a good book and one that I would recommend.

This is my first read of a Sheryl Browne novel and although I have only given it a 3 star rating I saw enough to make me want to read more of her books. I did enjoy the book and at times thought it was going to be much better but not quite a 4 star. 
Emily works at the local doctor's surgery with her husband Jake and is constantly suspicious of  his infidelities. Convinced that her husband is having an affair she trusts no one including her best friends and spends all her time looking for clues. Other locals are disturbed when secrets start to get exposed and suspicions point to Emily who has access to the patients personal files. Emily pleads innocence but this isn’t the first time Emily has lied. 

There are some good characters and certainly quite a lot of action but perhaps just a little too many coincidences and wrong doings.

Wow what can I say this was an edge of the seat ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ domestic psychological thriller with so many twists and hidden meanings and sub plots lurking beneath the main story line. It had me hooked from the very beginning and I couldn’t put it down. It was such a tense and complex thriller which totally kept me guessing till the end and had an element of suspense running all the way through and had me doubting everyone and anyone and wondering who was behind sending the letters and spreading gossip through the village and causing all of the horrendous consequences. This author definitely keeps her readers on their toes while reading and was a gripping and intense read. 

I highly recommend this author and this brilliant book which comes out on 20 November. Thank you netgalley for the ARC

I enjoyed this book but it didn't quite pull me in like Sheryls other books have, I couldn't quite warm to any of the characters

I love this Author. Always excited when she has a new one out. This was easy to follow the characters. The buildup was good to get to the conclusion.
Another great book from this Author.
