I can say honestly that I was not gripped until the last page and I only made it about ten pages in before I had to put the book down

A story of an obsession , at times it is uncomfortable reading because it is so believable and you could see it happening. Marcus is a consultant gynacologist and is believed to be a good doctor by collegues, but he also has the power to influence patients lifes and to dispose of those who get in his way. Although this book built up the suspense gradually, it did not drag and towards the end , it became a real page turner.
Poor Georgie has a terrible time , mostly as a result of actions by Marcus Valentine. An arrogant man who seems to think that a relationship between them is on the cards, once the complications of her fiance and unborn child are out of the way .
Well written with good descriptions both of characters and scenes , for example in the closed hotel, one criticism would be (as I work in a hospital) that I hope that some of the events described would not be possible.
Thank you to Net Galley for a great read in exchange for an honest review

This is my first book by this author who, looking at his bio, has more published books than I’ve had hot dinners. This is a thriller and there are many great pages of tension and foreboding and I read it In a couple of days. Dr Marcus Valentine, a star gynecologist in a local hospital, becomes obsessed with a woman named Georgie and delusionally believes they are meant to be together. He has no redeeming qualities and we keep hoping someone catches on to his evil behavior but everyone seems too blinded by his charm. Having read many psychological thrillers I was expecting a major twist at the end but it finishes strongly the way we were expecting.

Thanks Netgalley and the Publisher. Good page turner which will have you gripped to the end, great storyline and great characters. I really enjoyed it. (To be fair one of my favourite authors so no surprise there)

I Follow you is the first book by Peter James that I have read and really enjoyed it. The first part of the book was a little slow but it definitely picked up speed in the middle till the ending and I could not put it down. Thanks to Netgalley for this arc.

In I Follow You by Peter James, there were times the back and forth narration between the character's perspectives was jarring and pulled me away from the story. At first, I had a hard time connecting with the characters and getting into the story, but eventually, in the latter part of the middle, the drama begins to unfold and read like a moving playing out in my mind. The drama toward the end was good, and the tension and last-minute suspense and resolution were satisfying but a bit predictable.

I Follow You is the first book I have read from Peter James. I may check out other books by this author at a later time.

I was pleased to review a Peter James stand alone book as I really like his writing style but I am afraid this novel left me wanting a lot more.. The first half was a slow burner that was very repetitive. The second half picked up pace but I felt the ending was too rushed. Left me feeling he could definitely do better. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the chance to review it.

Georgie Maclean is a personal trainer and runner, unexpectedly pregnant and happily engaged to Roger Richardson, a private pilot. She also bears a strong resemblance to a young woman who cruelly rejected a teenage Marcus Valentine. Marcus has strived for and achieved success. He’s an obstetrician, married and the father of three small children. He drives a Porsche and when he absentmindedly almost hits Georgie, he starts a chain of overwhelming, cataclysmic events.

I Follow You is perfectly plotted and paced. Characters become real as they are vividly described and their personalities shown. Although slow to begin because of the character development, the action picks up gradually leading to the heart-pounding, suspenseful conclusion that will leave you breathless. Peter James is a master of crime fiction. 5 stars.

Thank you to NetGalley, Canelo and Peter James for this ARC.

The first half of this book really dragged and was really repetitive to the point that I was bored. The second half picked up a bit. The different narrators made the book feel choppy and I just wanted to get down to the nitty-gritty of the story...the stalking.

Although this was hard to get into at first, as the plot started to unfold it was a page turner. I wish the ending wouldn’t have been rushed and the character development would have been a little deeper. It was lacking in depth of characters and corresponding insight to real life, everyone was rich and flew planes and drove fancy cars and I couldn't relate to them.

Readers who are used to James’s police procedurals will get a jolt of surprise from his latest, where the lead character is anything but a hero. On the surface Marcus Valentine has the perfect life, only he knows something is missing. Or should I say someone is missing? Marcus has never forgotten the teenage girl who stole his heart so many years ago and when he sees a woman out jogging on morning, he’s struck by her resemblance to Lynette. Just the woman look like Lynette, or could it possibly be the love of his life, once lost, but now found? This is a chilling story of obsession
