A car that drives Boy itself from California to Utah. A dead man who sold arts. Two policeman who do Not want to solve crimes , instead are waiting for their time to retire. A stolen Madonna. All very confusing But entertaining.

The painting of Madonna has disappeared. It was stolen in Rome and last known in the hands of an art gallery owner who is now dead. There are a number of people who could have murdered him. His wife and her boy friend are good suspects as well as his partner, The mob boss who supplied the painting or any of the other people he came in contact with. The painting has just disappeared and though everyone seems to be out looking nobody has found it.

this was a really fun mystery, the characters were great and I really enjoyed trying to solve the problems. The author has a great way of making characters feel like real people.
