Dream Big, Little Mole is a gorgeous rhyming tale about a little mole who wishes she could do the things her friends are doing and is struggling to find her talent. This a heartwarming story about learning to be yourself and sends a great message to all children reading. The illustrations are vibrant and detailed with lots of interesting characters for children to look at. My 4 year old girl really enjoyed looking at the pictures to follow the story.

What a beautiful book for young audiences about things not always going as planned... and having to pick yourself up, brush off the dirt and take stock of all the good things that come from the bad. Having read about Tom Percival's early life, it's no wonder he writes such motivational books for children. The book doesn't push a strong agenda and it's about acceptance as well as dreaming.
Wonderfully illustrated by Christine Pym, there's humour and feeling in the drawings.
Highly recommended.

It seems Tom Percival has an innate talent for writing about emotions, belonging and friendships. His books are incredibly well written, designed and illustrated, perfect for younger readers wanting a story but also for teachers looking to build self esteem and confidence in their students.
Little Mole sees her talented friends leaping, flying and she wants to be good at something too. Owl, wisely, tells her to be herself and to do what she is good at....Mole knows she is good at digging so this is what she does!
Unfortunately she digs in all the wrong places and upsets most of those around her. Will she be able to put things right again?
An entirely enchanting story about being yourself, being true to your friends and that practice makes perfect! Sometimes, we need to work a little harder to become good at a skill or talent.
Positive messages for our students from another classic Tom Percival story.

What a beautiful little story. My children thoroughly enjoyed listening to this one and we have read it several times! The moral is that no matter what mistakes you make, theres always an opportunity for you to make it right. Even when you're re feeling sad. Perfect for children who perhaps have a bit of anxiety about doing things wrong.
