When you read a Kristen Ashley book you know what you’re going to get – a hot, alpha male hero and a smart mouthed, fashionable, long-haired heroine with family issues who at some point is going to be kidnapped by the bad guy (who sometimes turns out to be not so bad after all) with a supporting cast of girlfriends, similarly clad merely change the hair colourings who usually insist on helping but mainly make a bad situation worse. How would the Denver police department ever solve any crimes without the help of civilians!!! In Dream Chaser we get all that but I was left feeling disappointed. I read these books for the pure escapism and felt that this one was slightly anticlimactic. Only the one kidnapping? And that one technically could be argued as more of a forced visit. Most of this book seemed to be given over to the development of Boone and Ryan’s developing D & S relationship which I have to say, compared to other books I’ve read in this genre, was tame and more vanilla than anything. The conclusion to the mystery element of this story seemed almost like an afterthought, then again that whole side of things didn’t feature prominently in the story at all. One thing I did enjoy was the appearance of so many of my favourite characters from previous books. I will continue to read Kristen Ashley’s books to find out the conclusion to the whole ‘dirty cop’ storyline which started in Dream Maker but I won’t be waiting on any new release with the same eagerness I did some of her earlier works.

A bit sidetracked by this book as it wasn’t exactly what I expected but a good read overall
I haven’t read the first book in the series and to my shame, I admit that this was my first book by the author even if I own a few of her other stories. But after reading this one and having the chance to meet so many secondary characters, I will read them because their place in Ryn’s and Boone story is too strong and important to be overlooked.
I enjoyed the writing quite a lot, as it’s so easy to read and just flows through the chapters and steaminess of a very interesting and, I must say surprisingly good story.
To me, it seemed more like a discovery of one’s self, of what Ryan wants from her life and herself even, and the fact that Boone is there to support her decisions every step of the way, it’s just a bonus for a great hero.
They are forgetting everything around when their smoke catches fire and the steamy scenes have pumped my blood pressure high with every other page and moment of discovering new layers of “this is what I want and need”
Now I can see why the author is a must-read among the romance lovers.

I didn’t know this was part of a greater series and I had known this prior to requesting I might not have. I liked it but definitely didn’t get as much as I could have from it.

The book grabbed me from the first chapter, it was a classic Kristen Ashley. I love how both her male and female leads can be strong, independent characters.
Boone & Ryn’s story was great and it was only improved by the appearances of Rock Chicks, Dream Men, and Chaos characters in the book. The book is best if you’ve read Ms Ashley’s past book as many of these make appearances which only adds to the enjoyment.
Eagerly waiting for the next in the Dream Team series.
The book was provided by the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review

Dream Chaser is the second book in the dream girls series, you do not have to read the first but it does help to get a feel for the characters, plus this author writes such fabulous stories I urge you to read her others.
Ryn and Boone have met previously where Ryn turn him down and he didn’t take it too well, but she had been burnt in the past and treated badly and didn’t feel she needed a man in her life.
At the start we have Ryn yet again helping her sister in law out with her children and also giving her money to help with the bills. Boone then enters the scene with evidence that she is being taken for a fool by said sister in law, understandably she is angry and upset by this, she realises she has to stop being a doormat.
She gives Boone a chance and realises he could be just the man for her and he feels the same, Boone also has his problems from when he was in the Marines, he is a Dominant and Ryan is a submissive but this is not overt and is well written.
Lots is happening in this book, we have corrupt police, kidnapping, murder and other everyday events in KA’s world. Lots of characters reappear from previous books and it was lovely to touch base with them.
What you have here is a great romance, brilliantly written with the usual long conversations that are at times a little verbose but still fun.
There is also a depth to this book that resonated with me when Ryn describes what grief means to her to Boone to help him, I don’t think I’ve read anything so incite full and meaningful.
Get ready for the ride of your life with this wonderful book from one of my favourite authors.
My grateful thanks to net galley and publishers for the opportunity to review this book honestly.

The second in the Dream Team series (Rock-Chick spin off) continues much the same as the first... we have a stripper from Smithie's and a commando from Hawk's team being matched up. Opposites attached, slight chaos ensues and they all live happily ever after (until it is the next book in the series!)

I stopped buying KA books as I felt like they had just become same old, same old and she was using cut and paste from her earlier novels. I saw this on NG and thought I would give it a go but it was torture trying to get through it!
It was boring. Boone is a Dom and Kathryn (Ryn) is a sub but the first sex scene didn't happen until over half way through and was vanilla then there were a few sex scenes but none of them were what I would call BDSM. I didn't see the point of them being Dom/Sub as it wasn't written as such?
Boone is same as all other KA heroes. Ryn is same as all other heroines (why do they all have thick blonde hair, ass and tits?!).
Very annoying that this series features all the Rock Chicks who I have never been a fan of, the guys from the Dream Man series (obviously as this is a spin off) but also the guys from the Chaos Series and even mention of Knight etc from the Unfinished Heroes series. It just gets stupid bringing in all her other characters.
This read like a Rock Chick book and as I'm not really a fan of those, it's no wonder I was so bored. The 'mystery' plot was boring and took up a lot of the story so I skimmed most of it. I didn't feel the romance between Boone and Ryn. I was sick of reading repeated dialogue and sex scenes and endearments from all KA's other books. She definitely uses cut and paste!
I can't say much else other than it was boring. I'm glad I didn't pay for this book and I doubt after this review NG will offer me anymore of her books to review but it's not a loss!!
KA obviously has her fan base and I used to be a fan myself but after so many books, it is becoming more and more obvious she has her formula and she's sticking to it but I really wish she would try something different as I haven't enjoyed a book of hers for about 2 years now.
