This book was cute! It was your run of the mill romance. The banter between the main characters was cute and witty, and the characters were lovable and fun. Winter was a sweet character and I’d never read a romcom about an influencer before! I’d recommend this for a light, quick, read, but not sure there was anything that made it really stand out over other romances! I’d be interested to check out other work by this author, as I did enjoy her writing style!

This book was okay. I really wanted to like the relationship between Bo and Winter, but it was so slow burn. And there was no real resolution. I was 65% through the book before I realized that nothing had actually happened yet.

Escapist review: If you want to get caught up in the glitter and glam life of an influencer, but yet also break down what makes a person seek that lifestyle, this story has merit. There is a shiny, "read me" quality to the story that intrigues and delights, but just don't question the choices or analyze the characters. And then you'll be fine.
If, however, you are looking for substance - this is like .... a purchase from Zara. It looks great, will photograph well, but you'll probably wear it once and not remember why you just had to have it.
It is a story of the beautiful people who meet and a flashy, Gram-worthy place, but have all these relationship issues because they come from "kinda messed up" families. Which caused them to get caught up in these "kinda messed up" relationships, but yet they are so into each other, maybe they can make each other better/happier/less likely to make horrible life choices. If you like reality TV, you'll like this story too.

My review of this book is based on the blurb. Unfortunately I was unable to read this due to a formatting issue.

#Blocked was a non-stop laughs story with a great heart.. Though I was a little iffy on Winter at first, she does become more than than just an influencer personality and it was easy to relate to her trying to find her place in the world and forge her path.

Thank you @negalley, Satin Romance, and Savannah Thomas for this arc. You can get your copy today!

Synopsis: Winter Smith is a social media influencer that seemingly has the perfect life. Behind the camera, she is full of anxiety and memories of her previous relationship that truly affect her daily life. When she meets Bo Blaine she feels that he is too good to be true. When she googles him she finds out about his past and allows her memories of her ex to haunt her more than she should, so she blocks Bo from all social media. When her friends plot to get them together, what will happen?

Review: 4/5. I read this in less than 12 hours. It was such a fun quick read. I loved Winter’s friend Mia, Winter, and Bo. I laughed out loud a few times. The end gives a surprising cliffhanger that will leave you wanting more. I cannot wait for the next one #followed to come out! If you need a romcom, this is a good one.

Trigger warning: domestic abuse

Winter is a social media influencer and fashion guru, and though she looks perfect online, she suffers from, sometimes crippling, anxiety, and PTSD from her previous abusive relationship. Then she meets Bo Blaine, a tech industry heir, who has his own bad reputation to compete with. The chemistry between them is immediate, but will their demons keep them from being together?

I really liked this book. I REALLY liked their chemistry together, and I REALLY REALLY like Bo Blaine. All the characters were really good, and though it seemed like Bo wouldn’t shut up about how gorgeous Winter was, they seriously were so good together. The “villain” in the story could have played out to be a bit more, I felt like the confrontation that happened was anti-climatic, but I’m wondering if more will happen with that in the next book? Either way, really liked it a lot, and can’t wait to read more about these characters in the future!

I'm not much of a romance reader but this cover was too lovely to ignore. I loved the premise of this book but I thought it involved much more social media than that. It was fun and fast-paced but unfortunately, it didn't give me the premise. The ending was really surprising too. So I don't know if I'll pick up the next book but romance readers probably love this book much more than I did.

I had high hopes for this. I’m fascinated about all things social media and how that gets put into fiction. Slightly disappointed overall though.

Thank you netgalley this was a cute, fast paced rom com, with loveable characters.
And who doesn’t like finding a new fav author!

I had high hopes for this story, but ultimately it just wasn't for me. I had to struggle through to finish it, pretty much from the very beginning. The language was too descriptive (to the point of being distracting; example: how Bo describes every. single. part. of Winter's body in some internal monologue), the dialogue was forced and did not seem to be true to how people actually talk in real life, and the main characters were so unhealthily obsessed with each other, from the moment they meant, that it was uncomfortable to read.

I really wanted to enjoy the story as the book cover and the plot felt so interesting and very related to current times, but however I did not enjoy this as much as I wanted to as the plot felt very bland and I didn’t feel the “chemistry” between the two characters therefore I wasn’t entirely invested in their story.

Although if the writer plans on writing another book any time soon, i would love to read it as I can see the potential and the author had a very-easy-to-get-into writing style.

While the plot seemed interesting, it fell flare. I was hoping for a cute modern day romance but ultimately it was too immature for my liking.

Thank you to NetGalley for a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Could not even finish all of this! Had to dnf halfway through because of the instalove. Like honestly is it SO hard to create a good slowburn romance

It was okay. A little too shallow and cliched to be overly enjoyable.

Winter (Awesome name) is a shy, reserved incredibly popular style icon and social media influencer. Bit of an oxymoron of a character but okay. Bo is a Billionaire's son with an anger issue. Which he constantly assures everyone is under control. Even though he punches someone out in the first few chapters and has a constant diatribe in his head of wanting to beat up people. So...I digress.

Everything was just fine. I didn't mind the storylines and would have actually preferred fewer of them if the author had taken the time to lay them out and wrap them up better. Everything felt a tad rushed and shoved in for maximum drama.

**I received an ARC from the publisher on Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I'll be honest, the title is what captured my attention and why I choose to read this book. I was not disappointed. It has your good girl, Hannah, and bad boy, Bo. His whole image is that he's bad but it is the truth? I enjoyed this love story and seeing the characters story progress. If this is your type of genre, I recommend it.

Blocked: A Social Media Love story is a story about Winter, a fashion & lifestyle blogger with anxiety and PTSD because of her past abusive relationship, and Bo, a multi-million dollar techie with shady secrets. Winter meets Bo at the opening of his unique bowling alley and you have an insta-love there where they just "knew." Winter who is still fresh out of an abusive relationship is hesitant to take a leap especially when Bo's reputation isn't as clean as she'd like. I'm not a fan of this trope but I still enjoyed the sparks in their conversations. After all, I requested this ARC knowing it'll be a quick romance read.
I go back and forth on how I feel about Winter and Bo. I hated how Winter refused to get therapy even though she's clearly hung up on her past. It was triggering. I wished for more depth to the characters only to realize I was already at the end of the book. :v
The title is a bit deceiving and most parts of the book are really corny and feel kind of forced. The ending was a cliffhanger, leaving the story open for a second book, which I'm not sure I look forward to reading. Overall, it was a fun quick read, exactly how I'd thought it would be, so I wasn't disappointed per se, but I wish it had surprised me. Nonetheless, good luck to the author.

The plot of this book sounded promising and it did start out that way but the more it went on, the less I was enjoying it.
At the start, I was enjoying seeing how Winter and Bo's relationship progressed but as it continued there were too many different subplots going on, some of which weren't even resolved because there's going to be another book.
Overall, I did enjoy some of this book, but there were too many different things happening and some of the characters and subplots felt unnecessary, and I don't think I'll be continuing with the series.

I wanted to like this book but after trying so hard I just realized that it's not for me. The plot was promising and I was excited but I couldn't connect with the story or the characters.

I wanted to like this book, but I found all the main characters rather immature. I guess I’m too much of a fuddy-duddy to be all that interested in the efforts of an instagram stylist phenom to build her brand by taking selfies of her outfits and activities. The hero has anger issues which scares her because she is trying to recover from an abusive relationship, but he’s got sexy tattoos so she feels an irresistible attraction to him.

There were all sorts of sub plots that weren’t getting wrapped up as the book got near an end and I was wondering how the author would do that. Well, the solution was to leave it as a cliffhanger and a message about the next book in the series. I wouldn’t have been interested in reading this if I’d known that going in.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book that I received from Netgalley; however, the opinions are my own and I did not receive any compensation for my review.
