This is a sensationally exciting read that had me well and truly hooked by the end of the first page. The story moved at a breakneck speed ensuring that there was no way I could put it down before the heartstopping climax. And what a shock that was! Well worth 5 stars.

The best T M Logan yet!! I have listened to two of his other books (although it was only upon reading this that
I realised he was a he!) and this is definitely the best of them. Our main character is the wonderful, powerful and determined Ellen, who is handed a stranger's baby on the train into Marylebone to hold for a minute, not expecting it to totally upend her world. The mysterious mother disappears at the next stop leaving the gorgeous baby Mia with Ellen. She is left with a note not to trust anyone, even the police. What would you do?

It's fair to say that I don't think I would be as courageous as Ellen. She is brave, sometimes to the point of stupidity but it doesn't stop you loving her as a character. This is a proper page-turner and makes you want to stay up super late reading. You are kept on your toes for a long time but I guessed the ending at about 70% and spent the remainder of the book wanting to scream at Ellen that she couldn't trust XXXX! That's the only thing that stops it being 5 stars but it's also a very believable ending, which sometimes thrillers aren't. Has definitely made me want to read everything else he writes!

I am no stranger to books by the incredible TM Logan and once I heard about his latest novel TRUST ME, you know I just had to get my hands on a copy! And I was not disappointed!

A woman named Ellen meets young mother Kathryn and her young infant daughter Mia on the train. They get to chatting then Kathryn asks Ellen to hold baby Mia for just a few moments so she could take a phone call. Shortly after Kathryn leaves the train, and Ellen can see her walking away from the train platform, while she is still holding baby Mia. What the heck is going on here? Did she forget her baby? Why would she leaves her? How could a mother simply forget her baby?

There is much more going on here and Ellen is determined to find out just what exactly that is. What unfolds is pulse-pounding, thrilling, omg moments from beginning to end as Ellen uncovers the truth about baby Mia. People are after them, but she has no idea who those people are… are they trustworthy? Does Ellen need to protect them from those searching for them, or are those people out to help her with the best of intentions? Ellen is in the dark and not really sure what is going on, what to believe and who to trust.

I enjoyed the cat and mouse chase of this novel and the uncertainty of what is truly going on. Some people I thought could be trustworthy but turned out to be the ones she needed to avoid. Others she avoided or I thought she should avoid and be weary of, and yet those were the ones she could have (and should have) trusted all along. I loved the fact that everything was unpredictable and not easy at all to figure out and it kept me on my toes and guessing the whole way to the very shocking ending!

A fabulous book that I definitely recommend you add to your TBR list right now! Happy reading friends and way to go TM Logan. I am highly anticipating your next novel!

Wow! This book has pulled me in from the very first page and completely kept me hook, line and sinker. This is a read which I have been completely unable and unwilling to put down.

Logan has planted the seed early in the novel and I have devoured every twist and turn, completely unable to guess or predict where this was going.

I have read other books by Logan but this is definitely my favourite and quite possibly the best yet.

I have loved the mix of characters in this one; there are many that as a reader you love and some that you hate. I haven’t been able to work out who is trustworthy and have definitely had a shock at the ending of this one.

I adore the cover of this novel, it is enough to catch the eye of the reader without giving too much away. Upon reading, I definitely recommend clearing a few hours because this is one that you will be completely unable to put down.

There is nothing negative I can say about this novel. The only thing that popped into my head was why would the woman leave her baby with a total stranger… however, this has been answered as I have devoured page after page.

This is definitely my favourite of this author’s books. I have been completely unwilling to put this down and blown away by how much I adore this wonderful book.

A definite five star read, one I definitely recommend checking out.

I have read all of TM Logan's previous books and have really loved them - particularly 'The Holiday'
This book was no exception, and I really enjoyed it. Logan has a great way of setting up a premise and completely drawing you in. The opening chapters of this book were brilliant!! Hooked from the start!! I could totally imagine myself in our protagonist Ellen's position on the train at the start of the novel, and I have found myself cooing over babies myself. I love TM Logan's books as you can always picture them happening. I always can put myself in the characters shoes, which i absolutely adore!!

I did guess 'who-dunnit' but that didn't halter my enjoyment. Towards the end the pace increased and it all felt very rushed (too rushed) and slightly far fetched. This is the only reason why I have given the book 4* instead of the full 5* rating.

I will continue to read TM Logan's books - they are always thrilling, and always a page turner!!
Bring on the next one!!

Ellen is taking the train when she meets Kathryn. During the journey, Kathryn asks Ellen to hold her baby, Mia. The next thing she knows, Kathryn has got off the train and Ellen is left holding the baby. Unsure where to run, she checks the changing bag and finds a note telling her not to trust the police.
This all occurs within the first few pages of the book.

A gripping story that had me hooked from the beginning. It also kept me guessing all the way through and the outcome was not obvious to me at all.

This was the first T.M Logan book that I have read - but it certainly won't be the last.

Thanks to NetGalley for the opportunity to read this, in exchange for an honest review.

I love T M Logan books and have found them all to have really interesting storylines and this one was no different. There was the perfect mix of twists and turns, an element of doubt and plenty of pace throughout.

I found it hard to follow what was happening in the first few chapters as we were being introduced to a lot of characters but it you are fans of Logan’s work then I don’t think you’ll be disappointed in this one. Trust me.

I absolutely loved Trust Me. The synopsis really grabbed me and the book kept me hooked throughout. I couldn't put it down. T.M. Logan really held the mystery in this one, and it wasn't until nearly all was revealed that I had the slightest inclination as to who the main suspect was.
A brilliant, heart-stopping 5 star read.

Thank you for my advance copy in return for an honest review.

I’d like to thank Bonnier Books UK, Zaffre and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read ‘Trust Me’ by T M Logan in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

Ellen Devlin is on a train heading home when a young woman asks if she’d mind three-month-old Mia for a few minutes while she makes a phone call. As Ellen holds Mia she’s shocked to see the young woman exit the train and walk away mouthing ‘sorry’ as she walks past. Ellen looks into the duffle bag that’s been left on the seat and reads a note addressed to herself asking her to protect Mia and not to trust the police. Despite what’s been written on the note, Ellen decides she has no choice but to go to the nearest police station and hand Mia over, but is she doing the right thing?

‘Trust Me’ has an amazing storyline that’s full of suspense, excitement, tension and intrigue, all the ingredients needed to make this the fantastic thriller that it is. From page one I’ve been gripped with the plot, through each twist and turn of events, trying to decide which of the suspects is ‘The Ghost’ yet unable to, until I reached the startling and completely unexpected climax that had me so shocked I couldn’t move until I’d taken in what had just happened. This is an unbelievably addictive thriller that shows the author’s ability to introduce suspense into each and every page and I can wholeheartedly recommend it.

Wow this book is fast paced I nearly needed to put on my trainers to keep up !

Ellen is on a train after another appointment at the fertility clinic. She finds out that her ex’s new partner is pregnant and is feeling very sad. A young woman Kathryn, boards the train and looks flustered, her phone keeps ringing with a male face filling screen and she is bruised. She asks Ellen if she minds if she sits with her, then asks if she would hold baby Mia while she makes a phone call. After the day that she has, had holding a baby seems like a joy so she agrees.

After a while she starts to wonder where Kathryn has gone and then sees her walking down the platform away from the train at a stop. Ellen looks through the bag she has left and there is a note asking her to look after Mia and to trust no-one.

What happens next is thrilling, unexpected and high suspense. A man grabs Ellen and holds her at gun point he looks like the man on Kathryn’s phone what has she got herself mixed up in. I really enjoyed the pace and tension. Who is Kathryn? Why would anyone give their baby to a stranger ? How will Ellen clear her own name after she goes to the police?

We are introduced to DI Gilbourne and his partner rookie Holt, they interview Ellen and Gilbourne is not convinced that Ellen is at the heart of this investigation. I felt sad for Ellen as she desperate for a child and this has not helped her at all. She also wants to know how she ended up being involved with this and starts to investigate herself. I did want to shout at Ellen when she does this which adds to the stress of this story all the more.

This is a great thriller, twisty and scary in places as someone is looking for Kathryn and Mia and they will not stop until they do. I really enjoyed this book it is definitely one that I could have read in one sitting. If you like a galloping thriller, then this book is for you.

4 stars ****

Trust Me is a tense, character-driven thriller that begins with a simple act of generosity from one stranger to another and spirals into something significantly more sinister and deadly. Ellen Devlin is on the train travelling back to Marylebone station in London on the way home to South Greenford after an appointment at an infertility clinic. She had just received the devastating news that she will never have children. This has been a massive point of contention between her and her husband, Richard, for many years and now he has left her for another woman and she has just found out via a scan posted on social media that they are now pregnant with their first child together. Both natural conception and emotionally draining IVF have failed for Ellen and she has had several miscarriages; time is rapidly running out as she is within touching distance of her fortieth birthday. So when she spots twenty-something Kathryn Clifton coming down the aisle as the train races through the Buckinghamshire countryside, she silently prays she and her beautiful pink-clad baby sit anywhere but next to her. Of course, despite there being a huge selection of seating she chooses to sit down at the table opposite Ellen. Three-month-old Mia is a sweet bundle of joy sitting there grinning a gummy smile. Kathryn's mobile phone begins to ring and she ignores it but a few seconds later it lights up again. Her phone beeps with a message, and as she reaches for it the sleeve of her jacket rides up, revealing purple-black skin above her wrist, a line of ugly bruises spreading up towards her elbow. She quickly covers them up. Seeming distracted and anxious, Ellen obliges when Kathryn asks if she can hold Mia for a moment until she sorts out the calls and messages she's been receiving.

She heads to the vestibule between the two carriages for some privacy just as the train begins to decelerate as the penultimate stop comes into view. Seer Green and Jordans was a tiny station and as people rushed to both board and alight, Ellen was searching for Kathryn who had not yet reappeared. She's about to get up to walk to the vestibule when she spots a blonde woman in a rust coloured jacket rushing past the window; it's her but where is she going. She mouths the word 'sorry' before vanishing. In absolute disbelief, Ellen has no idea what to do and she decides to open the rucksack Kathryn left behind. On top of a bundle of baby clothes she finds is a single sheet of A4 paper, folded once. It’s a receipt or delivery note of some kind, a list of baby things, formula milk, bottles, nappies, clothes. I pull it out and frown. The word ‘Ellen’ is written in looping capitals on the bottom half. I turn the paper over. The back is blank except for a handful of words scrawled hastily in the centre, in messy black biro. It warns her to keep Mia safe and not to trust anyone. She is torn between handing Mia to authorities and obeying the note but not long after she gets off the train, they are both abducted. Can Ellen get to the bottom of why Mia was abandoned by Kathryn that day and who is apparently wanting to do her harm? This is a compulsive and enthralling game of cat and mouse that features a really unusual and original premise and a completely unpredictable and twisty narrative. I couldn't see the direction in which the story was heading at all as the incident on the train felt so random, however, there's so much going on beneath the surface and waiting for those layers to be slowly peeled back to reveal the truth had me riveted. It's an intensely gripping, cleverly woven and nail-biting read revealing a truly unspeakable crime.

Well this is another excellent and unputdownable book by T M Logan. Started abs finished in one day as I literally could not wait to find out what was going to happen.

Ellen is fraught, separated from her husband and has been unable to conceive for many years, through natural and IVF routes. On a train after coming back from a distressing clinic appointment she learns on social media that her ex and his new partner are having a baby. A young lady sits opposite her with a gorgeous baby girl and they get chatting. She girl seems worried and upset, she asks Ellen to hold baby Mia for a moment while she takes a call. Ellen sees the lady get off the train and leave Mia behind.

What follows is a vortex of mysterious events. Ellen is initially interviewed and arrested for kidnap, but is released by the detectives. She feels involved with Mia and does some investigation of her own to find out what was troubling the girl.

The characters are excellent and I could picture them easily and as each of the nasty sounding suspects were met and considered I was frequently changing my mind about who was behind a series of murders and why had Mia been abandoned and Ellen asked to protect her.

The writing style is very engaging and the flow of the story is fast paced and very twisty. This is a great read and one that I would definitely recommend. The end was unexpected and I didn’t guess until just before then who, what, when and why.

5 star review and thank you to Netgalley, the publisher and the author for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

The opening scene of Trust Me is probably the most believable part of this idiosyncratic novel as it lurches into seriously far-fetched territory and didn’t make a great deal of sense to me for well over a quarter of the novel.

Forty-one-year-old project manager, Ellen Devlin, is returning home after receiving disappointing news at her fertility clinic appointment and is just a few stops away from Marylebone when a young woman with a baby sits opposite her. A brief conversation with the woman, who appears distressed, reveals her name is Kathryn and sees Ellen agreeing to hold three-month-old baby Mia whilst she makes an urgent call. But as five minutes pass and the train pulls into a station Kathryn disembarks, mouthing ‘sorry’ at Ellen and leaving her to discover a note in the baby bag asking her to protect Mia and trust nobody, police included. And with one shifty man following Ellen off the train and an entirely different one attempting to abduct her less than an hour later she takes Kathryn’s warning seriously. Even the police, in the shape of DI Stuart Gilbourne and jumped-up DS Nathan Holt of the Major Crimes Unit aren’t entirely reassuring. The novel is primarily told from the perspective of Ellen and gives the reader direct access to the rationale behind her thinking and the actions she takes. Several other perspectives occasionally feature including those of the two detectives and one of Ellen’s pursuers, with his motivation gradually revealed.

There is an awful lot of time spent groping around in the dark without knowing where the novel is going and because of this I found it a pretty unstimulating read. Whilst there is plenty of action with dubious characters all telling Ellen to trust them, the whole thing makes no sense until the identify of baby Mia is revealed well over halfway through. I was frustrated as one inconceivable situation after another played out for a substantial period of the book but given the reader does not know why I struggled to care. Ellen is a smart and incredibly resourceful character who takes responsibility for ensuring the safety of Mia and is remarkably tenacious which all rings true when her fifteen year naval career is revealed. I found her incredibly relatable and was pleased that the author doesn’t linger on the possibility of Ellen’s infertility clouding her judgment with regards to Mia. The supporting characters, in particular Ellen’s pursuers and the police, are sketchily characterised and never feel remotely real and this was certainly a factor in how ludicrous I found much of this story. I had worked out the bad guy from pretty early on, largely because of how heavy-handedly the author tries to point readers in a different direction, and when the reveal finally comes the novel finishes abruptly and the perpetrator never really felt credible to me. The brief concluding snapshot three months on from the denouement leaves far too many unresolved questions to satisfy.

A disappointing and not always coherent novel that is more thriller than mystery but a standout protagonist in ballsy, resourceful Ellen which almost made up for some very daft moments!

Trust Me is the first book I have read by bestselling author T.M Logan. It has a wonderful premise that makes for an intruguing and heartfelt read. Ellen Devlin is travelling back to London after an appointment at her infertility clinic that has not gone as well as she wanted. Feeling hurt and disappointed the last thing she wants is for a young mother and baby to sit across from her. Asked by the young mother, Kathryn, to hold Mia whilst she makes a phone call the Ellen is shocked when Kathryn to leaves her literally holding the baby. A note tells Ellen to trust no one, including the police. As Ellen’s life seems to spiral into a week of danger and uncertainty, never knowing who to trust or why Mia’s life needs protecting she is in a race against time and an unkown assailant,in this tense and emotive thriller.

Trust Me is narrated by several of he main characters including Ellen and the two police officers investigating her claims, DI Gilbourne and DS Holt. From Ellen’s point of view the situaton she finds herself in is ironic, in that she is forty one, has infertility issues that have cost her her marriage, and her ex husband of only three months is now having a baby with his new girlfriend; a real kick in the teeth. Obviously her instincts are to protect Mia, but in this case just what does protecting her involve, and just who do you trust, especially if it’s not the police. Ellen is an intelligent woman but it is her emotions and heart that lead her decisions where Mia is concerned, her protective nature comes out and ultimately puts her in some very frightening positions. I did feel empathy for her situation, it almost seemed cruel for her to have a baby to look after but ultimately have it taken away. Her story, being handed the baby, not taking Mia directly to the police, seem very suspicious and through DI Gilbourne and DS Holt we see how the investigation pans out, why was Mia left with Ellen and why she finds herself in danger.

I found Trust Me to be a real slow burner, not really gaining momentum until the last fifty pages or so. There were several different plot lines that seemed very disparate, and I felt took my attention from the main story line. They did all come together at the end but I felt at least one wasn’t really necessary and at times I did get a bit bored and distracted by this. However, T.M Logan did get my attention back towards the shocking conclusion, where all the twists and turns, and different characters finally came together. I may have worked out some of the mystery of this book, but I have to admit that T.M Logan really kept me guessing with his many red herrings and plot twist.

Overall I really enjoyed Trust Me, and loved the premise of the book, which would make a great book club read with the discussion on what you would do in Ellen’s place. It is a real smoke and mirrors read, no one is what they first seem, and the plot goes off in several different tangents whose importance is only revealed at the very end. Tension and suspense simmer throughout this meticulously and intelligently plotted emotional thriller.

I have read all of TM Logans books and jumped when I saw this on Netgalley.

This is a must read if you like the thriller genre - it starts with Ellen taking a train ride home when Kathryn gives her a baby to hold whilst she "takes a call". She then leaves the train leaving the baby with Ellen and a note in the baby changing bag. I loved Ellen as a character - so well formed. The book kept me guessing until the last minute and I read it in two sittings.

Absolutely fantastic and T M Logan hits out of the park again.

Thank you to the author, Bonnier Books & Netgalley for the advanced copy!

The first 100 pages of this book were incredibly enticing, if not very rushed. You probably could’ve written a whole story just out of the first 100 pages.
This book seemed to spend a lot of time describing unnecessary details and skimming over the big events. I had no connection to any character and after the first 100 pages it just veered into unrealistic and was a chore to finish reading.
It focused so much on the people the author wanted you to think were responsible that it made it incredibly easy to figure out who was actually responsible.

Brilliant read!

Just another crappy day. Bad news on top of bad news and all Ellen wanted to do was to get home but this was not meant to be. Instead, her path crosses with a young girl with a baby on a train and from their everything snowballs out of control. The next minute she is left with a baby she doesn't know and a note that tells her to not trust anyone; not even the police.  Who is the creepy guy following her and what is the right thing to do?
I've become a big fan of T. M. Logan and this was another fast read that kept me guessing and changing my mind about who the baddie was a few times!

Thank you to NetGalley and Bonnier Books UK, Zaffre for the ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.
