Heidi Swain has done it again. A Taste of Home is a truly heartwarming and comforting read that I absolutely adored. From the first page, her writing wraps around you like a cosy blanket. There is such warmth in her storytelling and a real sense of community that makes you feel right at home.

The characters are lovely and easy to care about, the setting is beautifully described and the plot moves at just the right pace. It is the kind of book that leaves you smiling and feeling better about the world.

Heidi Swain never fails to deliver a feel-good read and this one is no exception. A perfect story for anyone in need of a little escape and a big dose of kindness.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read an early copy.

What a beautiful women's fiction book this is. I loved it!

Fliss Brown travels from Italy to England, UK after her Mother dies, and there she finds family, who she helps, and she also meets a man who she becomes close to. I loved reading about how Fliss was able to revamp her Grandad's farm, to turn it into something special for him.

This is a cute, heartwarming book, full of family and romance, which is the perfect read for summer. Highly recommended!

Many thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for a copy of this book.

A Taste of Home by Heidi Swain is an inspiring tale about one woman's journey to reconnect with her past. Fliss Brown grew up on an Italian fruit farm with her mother and her memories, until one day her mother dies and she is suddenly thrust into a world of newfound family, with no idea of what to expect.

Fliss is determined to make the most of the situation and she soon discovers that her grandfather owns a fruit farm in England and sets off with her Nonna Rossi's recipe for cherry and almond tart to the Wynbridge farm. Armed with the recipe, Fliss hopes to use her knowledge to recreate the past glory of the farm and in turn, discover a taste of home.

What ensues is a touching journey of discovery that teaches readers that although the past may be lost, a sense of home can still be found in new experiences and by revisiting the recipes and stories of our ancestors. Readers are also reminded that despite how long it has been, it is never too late to reconnect with family and heal past wounds.

Heidi Swain is a master storyteller and in this delightful book she brings to life a story about the importance of connecting with the past and building bridges for the future. With engaging characters and mouth-watering recipes, A Taste of Home is sure to become a favorite of many.

I would like to thank NetGalley and Simon and Schuster UK for approving me for an ARC of this book. I am a huge Heidi Swain fan and have thoroughly enjoyed making my way through this series. Whilst each book can be read as a standalone I would recommend starting from the beginning purely for the enjoyment. There are reoccurring characters in each story, Lizzie and Jemma being two of my favourites, and it’s great to see how far they have come.

This time we are introduced to Fliss, a new arrival to Wynbridge seeking out a family she never knew she had. From the start Fliss was a likeable, relatable character and despite dealing with her own grief she still managed to see the silver lining to the letter her mum left behind.

Her arrival to Wynbridge was eventful and her first meeting with Bill would be enough to make any young girl run a mile but her determination to see this out, despite her nerves was admirable. Her relationship with Bill was endearing and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing that blossom as well as Fliss’s plans for the farm.

I am a huge fan of Italian food, pasta is my weakness, so I couldn’t help but feel hungry and crave a little piece of Italy whilst reading this one. The delicious recipes that Fliss cooked up were mouth watering, the perfect addition to the story.

With a few surprises and a little romance this story is another solid addition to a fantastic series. With only one more to go I’m going to take a trip back to Nightingale Square and catch up with this series so keep your eyes peeled for my review!

Heidi is back with a summer filled book that will be sure to set your taste buds tingling, the food that Fliss rustles up in the Fenview kitchen had my mouth watering all the time, especially with all of the desserts! It also really made me want to go out strawberry picking, it really is true that they taste so much better freshly picked from the plant!

My spidey senses were triggered as soon as we met Anthony - there was something up there but I couldn't put my finger on what, by the end of the book though - oh I was not a fan at all! How spiteful!!!

Elliot on the other hand was pure cuteness, it was clear from the off that him and Fliss had feelings for each other and I so wanted them to act on them as you could just see that they would be so good together.

I loved being back in Wynbridge and seeing so much of the very familiar characters, especially Jemma and Lizzie at the Cherry Tree Cafe, that place always fills me with a cosy warmness! It also made me fancy a nice summer bbq with a bottle of cider - although it probably wouldn't be as tasty as the Skylark Cider. I am very intrigued to see if we find out more about the distillery in upcoming books though.... let's get my read on!

Another amazing book by Heidi and I can't wait to read the next one, although I also don't want to run out!

I'm a massive fan of Heidi Swain, so I hang my head in shame that it took me over a year to finally sit down and read this book.

But I'm very glad I waited until I had time to just devour it, as that is exactly what happened, as I couldn't put it down. I was hooked on Fliss's story.

And her meeting a long lost relative for the first time, and seeing if her real home is at the fruit farm she never knew existed.

I was happy to see cameos from many of the Wynbridge regulars, as I do love to keep up to date with characters lives, and it helped give the book a sense of love and cosiness too.

Read over the course of an afternoon, I was engrossed in how this story unfolded. I loved every moment of it.

Thank you to Simon and Schuster and Netgalley for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

I didn’t realise that this book was part of a series, but it really didn’t matter that I hadn’t read the others. Great book by this author as always, never fails to let me down.

Thank you NetGalley for my complimentary copy in return for my honest review.

While this is part of a series it isn't necessary to have read the other books, it works fine as a standalone. It was a very heartwarming story which follows our main character Joy on her journey to discovering who she is. It is a lovely read with brilliant writing as expected now from Heidi Swan.

I was sent this book by Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I love Heidi's books, they always feel like a warm hug and this one was no different. I loved being back in Wynbridge again and the community feel is always at the forefront of the books, having read a few of the Wynbridge ones it was nice to see the other characters popping up again in this one too. I really enjoyed Fliss's story and seeing her bond with her estranged grandfather and turn around the family farm was heartwarming. The thing I always love about these books is you know there's going to be a happy ending, no matter what turns the story takes and sometimes you need that from a book.

Another Heidi Swain masterpiece. I loved the journey that Fliss takes from Italy to Wynbridge to find her remaining family when her Mum passes away. Going to find her grandfather on a fruit farm that is a bit run down, can Fliss turn it around with her knowledge of fruit farms from Italy? It always feels like meeting an old friend for cosy hot chocolates when you open a Heidi Swain novel. Thank you for letting me read this. I can't wait for her next book.

Another enjoyable book from this series following the adventures of one young woman as she discovers her family roots. Lovely to have some of my favourite characters popping in and out.

Fliss Brown heads back to Norwich from Italy after her mother's death when she receives a letter from beyond the grave telling her that she has family that she knew nothing about. Fliss soon discovers that her estranged grandfather owns a fruit farm on the outskirts of Wynbridge that has fallen into disrepair. Fliss attempts to rebuild more than just the family farm and along the way tries to find a taste of home.

Another superb book from Heidi Swain. Heidi never disappoints and I find myself re-reading all of her books whenever I need some comfort. A true romantic storyteller.
