What a sweet winter romance!

Brothers unexpectedly inherit a ski-resort in a little snow town. Sounds like a perfect setting, right? But wait, there's more:

- Veteran with PTSD
- Small Town
- Second Chance Romance
- Filled with supportive family and friends
- and a dog!! My favorite!

Loved this sweet winter romance. Perfect for the holiday season

Overall a good second chance that never was, best friends little sister with a mix of danger added in. I think if it had established deeper relationships with other people we would have been onto a winner.

I'll check out the next book when it's released

I received a free copy of this book via netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I completely adore second chance romances, this was amazing. I mean it includes a runaway bride and a retired marine how could it not be great The series is based on friends who joined the military and those that come back. It was a slow-burned romance which I also love and it covers PTSD with sensitivity. Another romance with an amazing community feel and lots of lovely romance.

Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for a free copy for an honest opinion

A pleasant read for a sunny afternoon. I didn’t feel any sizzling attraction between the two main characters so I was thinking this would be a chaste romance. It seemed out of place when the sexualized words came up during the intimate scenes. Interesting information about PTSD and veterans. My favorite scenes were with Monty, the dog.

Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and Samantha Cole for an ARC in exchange for an honest review*

I love romance books and while I have not read Samantha Cole previously; I have to admit that I was underwhelmed. I found the characters a little too one level. It is a perfect and wonderful little book but I lost interest quickly. I believe in an effort to create some action. The author gave us a stalker but in the end; I found his reason for stalking really lacking.

I have heard a lot about this author, and she is hugely popular. This book lacked tension, heat and well-developed characters.

Sweet second chance romance. Buck has been her brothers friend since they were all kids. Buck kissed her once Regina was 19 and he 24, and then he ran away to join the army. Years later she's finished college and getting ready to marry someone else, but can't when she isn't in love with them. Big brother helps her move home, and she reconnects with Buck. He has PTSD from his years in the service, but is willing to try to have a relationship with her. Drama ensues, but true love wins in the end. There are two more friends to get HEA, maybe three in you count the silent partner at the Lodge.

LOVE left at the altar tropes, lol. But usually I like it when the guy pulls the dumba$$ move. Still, this was a fun, slightly suspenseful second chance romance. Fairly steamy, well written but first of a series if you like to wait. KU

This was a cute story. It states with Regina getting ready to walk down the aisle to get married, but her heart told her not to do it. So she has her brother take her back to their childhood home. Buck is a friend of Regina’s brother and he just came back home. Several years before Regina left Largo Ridge, she and Buck shared a kiss, and that kiss has been on her mind ever since that fateful day. Returning now and being in the same place as Buck is stirring up old feelings,This is a romance that will fills your heart and make you believe in love. . I look forward to the next book in the Largo Ridge series.

Buck is all rough around the edges but your heart just aches for him with all his struggles. And who can blame Gi for simply wanting something REAL and meaningful? I love how protective her brother Ryan is. Isn't that how every big brother should be? And how can I forget the fun little plot twist?! This quick, hot read will have you eagerly awaiting the next installment in this wonderful new series.

A second chance romance about a runaway bride and a retired marine is the first book of the Largo Ridge series.
The series is based on 4 friends who joined the military and the 3 that come back. This is Regina's and Buck's story. It was a slow-burned romance with some mystery, friendship, PTSD, an amazing community, and romance.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book received from the publisher via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Runaway bride, best friends little sister. Yep and yep and yet this is still a delightful story of two souls who can heal each other and share the kind of love they’ve only dreamed of. This is a tale of love and hope that will leave you smiling.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book. A very new series by Samantha A. Cole that is quite different that the other series. Lots of heart-ache and misunderstandings, let Buck and Regina drift apart for the last seven years. Both of them rekindle after she leaves her groom at the very last second. Unfortunately, not everyone is as grateful as Buck for her to come back to her hometown. And when the almost unthinkable happens everyone has to come a little closer. Buck's dealing with PTSD leaves both of them almost desperate ad well.
Very great story that leaves many other characters getting their own book. Wonderful.

A sweet contemporary romance filled with friendship and self discovery. This story sheds light on the hurdles one faces with PTSD and the people around them.

Cold Feet is amazing. I love the feel of this new series, Largo Ridge. Your heart goes out to Buck as you learn the extent of his PTSD. He is a little gruff and sweet all in one package. He is really protected of Regina a.k.a. Gi. Gi is sweet and looking for what her parents had. She has loved Buck from afar for many years. They just make so much sense and have amazing chemistry. If you are looking for brothers best friend, ex military and small town read then look no further then this one. You will love the added twist that goes along with Gi and Bucks love story. I love Regina and Buck together. I cannot wait to watch the rest of Bucks friends fall. I have a feeling I'm going to become addicted to the Largo Ridge series as it goes on. I could not put this one down.

Cold Feet is the first book in the Largo Ridge series and I am hooked! It is the perfect combination of characters that are easy to like and an enjoyable storyline filled with romance and a touch of suspense and intrigue.
Ryan’s best friend, Buck and his sister, Regina(Gi) have been dancing around the attraction they have for each other for years and now is finally their time to give their relationship a try. They first have to overcome a few obstacles that are in their way but it will be so worth it in the end.

Thank you NetGalley, Samantha A. Cole and Victory Editing NetGalley Co-Op for the ARC of Cold Feet. This is my personal review.
Regina was set to walk down the aisle to get married, but her heart told her not to do it. She had her brother take her back to their childhood home.
Buck is a friend of Regina’s but also a friend to her. Several years before Regina left Largo Ridge, she and Buck shared a kiss, and that kiss has been on her mind ever since that fateful day. Returning now and being in the same place as Buck is stirring up feelings, they both have for each other.
The romance is just below the surface for both and as you read the story you can feel it in every word. This is a romance that fills your heart for Regina and Buck.
I look forward to the next book in the Largo Ridge series.

Buck is the best friend of Regina's older brother. He has demons that he thinks should stop him being with her, but after she runs away from her wedding to anohter man and moves back home, will he realise that they are meant to be together?

Looking forward to the rest of this series.

3 stars

A sweet second chance romance set in an idyllic small ski resort town.

[What I liked:]

•I enjoyed the story, it’s realistic for the most part, & the relationship conflicts were not infuriatingly frustrating.

•I really like the characters, especially Buck, Ryan, and GI. I easily connected with them, felt empathy for them, and genuinely liked them.

[What I didn’t like as much:]

•The first chapter starts out as pages of info dumping. This is the first book of a series, so I have even less tolerance for info dumping background.

•Some of the dialogue during the romantic scenes is soooo cheesy, bordering on cringey.

•The attempted serious crime is...over the top? I have a hard time believing the perpetrator would take revenge that far for the reason they wanted vengeance.

CW: stalking, physical assault, PTSD

[I received an ARC ebook copy from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review. Thank you for the book!]
