In my view, this is a book for those looking to become inspired and develop habits to ensure a fulfilling life. The hands-on exercises, provided at the end of each chapter, are clear and easy to follow.
At times it reads very much like a plug for the author’s Become Inspired TV series which is a bit offputting.

The worksheets - I could not access the worksheets via Kindle, so this book is much better purchased in paper form than digital

This book offers steps, basically 11 weeks if you read one chapter a week, to incorporate inspiration into your daily life, and to make positive changes. Sure, some of it might be basic info that we should know (but do we really?) but the reminders are great (why getting up early is so beneficial, how important mindset is, and gratitude, for example). Also, the author shares this steps by using stories that help us connect with others and the positive changes they made. It also gives you exercises at the end of each chapter to make those positive changes to become inspired, and stay inspired. It was uplifting, inspirational, and fun to read, and I will be returning to it again when I need more inspirational reminders to change for the better.

In my view, this is an entry-level book for those looking to become inspired and develop habits to ensure a fulfilling life. Styles has an easy-going way of sharing his own setbacks and challenges, as well as those of his guests in the Become Inspired series on Amazon Prime. The hands-on exercises, provided at the end of each chapter, are clear and easy to follow.

The worksheets - I could not access the worksheets via Kindle. Using the NetGalley Shelf for iPad I managed to access them, but I couldn't write on them, and I was also blocked from sending them to my computer to work on them there. It would have been desirable to be able to use the worksheets in an easy way, especially as these are such a large part of what the book is about.

The cover - I am not sure this cover is representative of the hope, inspiration and knowledge provided in the book. It doesn't really scream "buy me, read me; I can make you successful". Furthermore, I understand why Styles has used the title he has, but could I suggest that the subtitle is made longer so it picks up some of the eleven sessions in the book? The book is so much more than "next steps", so perhaps include words like habits, mindset, gratitude, patience, positive affirmations, visualising and spirituality. This would also help with the book being picked up more easily by search engines and being suggested to readers.

At times (especially in the beginning of the book) it read very much as a plug for the author’s Become Inspired series on Amazon Prime. I think this could easily be avoided with just a few minor edits in the early chapters.

In the version I downloaded for Kindle, the author is set as “Jay Stiles”, not “Jay Styles”.

Having become a bit to enmeshed in 'being busy' these last few months i found this book to be a refreshing, approachable and most of all practical way out of it. Filled with solid advice presented in bite sized, thought provoking concepts it's a useful tool to help you take a step back and get back to your core basic life desires. The cover does the book a bit of a disservice, it's much more modern and far less masculine that the cover led me to believe. I will continue to refer to this book in the future, really useful, thank you.

BECOME INSPIRED: YOUR NEXT STEPS is an 11 week course of simple exercises to help to reignite your spark of inspiration and get a foot hold on the life of your dreams. It is a well written book in a very easy and inviting style. Usually I would only recommend books like this to young adults or those new to the self help scene, but it would actually be a great read for anyone needing a jump start. The author is not overbearing but has a gently persuasive style. I did enjoy the book and would definitely recommend it.

Despite the generic and unappealing cover (sorry) this book contains good advice for 'staying in the game'. Even such basic advice as 'habits help you move forward' was a lightbulb moment which proves that we sometimes need help revisiting the basics. For anyone who has got themselves tangled up in too much doing, I recommend this book.
