The best Christmas book I have read this year. I couldn't put it down!

The descriptions of everything are great, so detailed you feel like your really in the room with Sasha.

Sasha gets a call asking her to help her dad with his reindeer sanctuary in Norway. She hasnt spent a christmas with him in years but this year he suffered a heart attack so needs her help. She reluctantly agrees with plans to get him home again but she's about to discover that maybe that isnt what she wants either. Could this be the christmas of her dreams.

Oh this story is wonderful. Its touching, hopeful, sad and beautiful. The emotions it envokes in the reader are huge. I teared up more than once as I read the story. Its a steady, slow build to the absolute perfect ending. I mean who wouldn't want to spend Christmas at the North Pole. I loved Tav straight away and learning his story just makes you love him more. We see Sasha's growth through the story plus the reindeer are just so adorable. The images created as you read are incredible and the writing is full and descriptive. A brilliant Christmas read.

The Post Box at the North Pole is Christmas you can hold in your hand, that’s it!!

I adored this book, it’s warm and wonderful, it’s fun and festive, emotional and enchanting with the best setting – after all who doesn’t like a Lapland themed Christmas story? Plus look at the cover, isn’t it gorgeous? I love it!!

I instantly warmed to Sasha, after losing her mother she has all but lost herself and everything she loves in life too. Christmas was always a huge part of her life, she loved it as a child but now without her mother in her life, the glitter of Christmas has faded and she well and truly hates it. I think we have all been in that position haven’t we, I know that after certain events in my life the sparkle of Christmas faded at one time, so I can relate to her so much.

But a phone call from her father, the one person she thought never to see ever again comes out of the blue she reluctantly sets off to the most festive place on this planet; Lapland. I can imagine the horror Sasha is feeling when she is faced with the one thing she hates; Christmas!! She wants to reconnect with her estranged father, she has lost her other and he is all she has left, even if it does mean getting on a plane and jetting off to the middle of Christmas hell.

Once again I really connected with Sasha, despite a fractured relationship with her father, the moment she hears of his health issues she wants to be there. After all, no matter what has happened in the past you only have one set of parents, once they’re gone you can’t bring them back, Sasha knows how precious and precarious life can be and doesn’t want to waste a moment.

Once there her frozen heart does start to thaw, she decides to start answering all the ‘Santa Clause’ letters which have been left shoved in a corner unopened. Letters from children around the world, she is starting to feel the magic and wants to share that newly discovered magic with all these children. And then she meets an incredibly handsome and all-around good guy; Taavi who is the epitome of Mr Christmas but with a few flaws…well, do I really need to say more, I think you can see where is leading right?

I really liked the characters, they spoke to me and you instantly feel a connection with them, Sasha and Taavi have their own issues to work through, they aren’t perfect which makes for really interesting reading, they develop in a very natural way and work at their vulnerabilities to find happiness.

I really like Jaimie Admans books, they are so heart-warming, she writes from the heart and never fails to make me smile, her books are always an absolute dream to read.

Overall, The Post Box at the North Pole is wonderfully feel-good, it’s full of emotion and glittery Christmas sparkle with Norse folklore woven through which is pure magic.

I’m just loving all of the Christmas books coming through. So many cosy tales to enjoy, and this was an absolute corker. I’ve enjoyed Jaimie’s previous books, but this one hit me in proverbial ‘feels’. I laughed and teared up at several points and fell in love with the wonderful Tav.
I have a habit of casting the characters in some books, it’s fun and helps me to imagine how they may look. I may have been following typecasting, but Tav would be well played by Jason Momoa. The was he was described on looks and personality had me from the first yap of the sleigh dogs. Sasha’s Dad may be trickier as he made me think of Richard Attenborough in Miracle on 34th Street. May need to go back to the drawing board if this ever makes it to the silver screen. Strangely, I rarely cast the female characters, so she will have to be played by an unknown actor. I digress…
This book is utterly enchanting and literally couldn’t put it down, it was past 1 a.m. when I finally turned to the end. From imagining seeing the Northern Lights to picturing a snow-covered field of Reindeer, I couldn’t get enough of this story.
The poignancy of some of the letters to Santa had me moved to tears, several times. For me, the killer letter involved a dog and a bridge. No spoilers, but you’ll know when you read it. The exchanges between Tav and Sasha were gorgeous and the way that they both revealed their darkest secrets was perfectly paced.
I’m happy to say that I have more Christmas stories to read, but know that The Post Box at the North Pole will figure in my favourites for this year

What a lovely book, everything you need to put you in the mood for Christmas, grab a hot chocolate and enjoy

I have said it many times on here how much I love Christmas and a Christmas book, well this one came with all the festive feel-good goodness and more.

When I saw the blurb for this book I couldn’t resist, it sounded just like a Christmas Hallmark film (my absolute favourites) and it more than lived up to these expectations.

Sasha plays life safe, that is until she gets a phone call from her Dad in Norway saying he’s had a heart attack and needs her help. She’s on the first plane there and discovers that her dad is living in a Christmas village, one that he owns. Sasha had fallen out of love with Christmas as a child after her mum’s death, and can’t believe that her Dad is living in a place like this, especially one that is falling apart. Whilst there Sasha unearths a room full of Santa mail, letters written to Santa from children and adults, she gets lost in them and decides to start replying to some of them. Sasha starts to rediscover the magic of Christmas but will it be enough to help her Dad.

Sasha is a homebody, she’s unadventurous and flying to Norway pushes her outside her comfort zone. I think Sasha is a true representation for most of us, as you grow up you lose the magic of Christmas, whether that is from growing up or personal events, but what we can learn from Sasha that there is still magic there no matter how old you are, you just have to believe.

Taavi is also a great lovable character. Standoffish at Sasha’s arrival, she slowly uncovers the real Tav hiding underneath the layers.

The Christmas village sounds like absolute heaven. Santa, elves, reindeer, snow, what more could you want? The description of the village is amazing, I feel like I am standing there watching the scenes unfold and it makes me want to go.

And can we just take a moment to admire this cover! It’s gorgeous!

A Christmas village with Christmas romance, I dare you to read this and not feel the Christmas magic.

Enjoyed it. The story is perfect for the holidays. Now I want to visit North Pole Forest, stay at the Candy Cane Cabin, gaze at the Northern Lights and pet all the reindeer. The only thing stopping me would be the freezing temperatures and all the snow. Having Tav to snuggle with and take me on reindeer sleigh rides would make it better. I liked all the characters except for Sasha's dad. Which is essentially saying I didn't like Santa. All his ho-ho-ho-ing was annoying. He turned away from any conversation Sasha tried to have with him. He wanted Sasha to join him in Norway but never spent any time with her. They barely talked. He spent the last few years there and never invited her. All around it was a cute story with cuter reindeer. Now I feel like I should write a letter to Santa and drink a mug of hot chocolate.

Definitely recommend the book. Enjoyed the story, characters and writing style. Look forward to reading more books by the author. Love the cover of the book.

Another good book from Jaimie.

When Sasha’s dad calls her out of the blue and tells her he needs her help in a Christmas village in Norway following him having a heart attack, she drops everything and travels to help him. Christmas was always her favourite part of the year until her mom died. When she arrives she is surprised to see a fairytale village dedicated to Christmas. Before she arrives she is decides to convince her dad that he needs to sell up and come home. Can her father change her mind and get her to fall in love with Christmas all over again or will she convince him to sell up?

When I first picked up Post Box at the North Pole I was expecting what I always am when I see these covers, cute hallmark movie-esque put to word, and that's what I got! This was my first good Christmas book of this year and I have to say it didn't disappoint.

Homebody Sasha Hanley travels from her quiet English life all the way up to the Arctic Circle in Norway to help her ailing father run and hopefully sell a reindeer sanctuary he now owns. While in Norway, Sasha meets gentle giant Tav, and there's instant chemistry even if he doesn't talk much. This novel weaves together the light hearted joys of Christmas and growing through and dealing with serious trauma. I felt it had the perfect amount of light hearted and more deep moments. While the beginning felt a little slow and Sasha wasn't the most likable to me personally, as the book progressed I ended up loving her and was rushing for any mention of her and Tav together. The romance is a lovely slow burn with a lot of aiding each other in healing from past trauma and learning to accept new people and new experiences. One critique is that the chapters were loooong, and I mean so long I could barely ever get through one whole one in a sitting, so if you don't like that maybe skip this one. Overall, I adored this book, though I felt the sort of third act break up was unnecessary as I usually find them. Trigger warnings for conversations of parental death, they had even me tearing up! This was a good start to my Christmas reading and I would totally pick up another Jaimie Admans christmas novel!

A really feel good, extra Christmasy read. Tav and Sasha were very cute together and it was lovely watching them connect and open up to each other. There are some lovely themes in this of reconnecting with family, love, loss and finding that magic and Christmas spirit. A good read to get you in a festive mood. (3 ⭐️)

There is something about Jaimie’s Christmas books that just scream out at me to read them – this one was no exception. If you have ever pictured Santa’s village then I am certain that this is the book for you and this book will be all that you have ever imagined. Every page is dripping in Christmas magic.

This is a perfect festive book that will not fail to get you in the Christmas spirit – whilst listening to this in October I really wanted to put on Christmas songs. I enjoyed the fact that Jaimie included some Norwegian Christmas traditions. Overall, a beautiful and romantic story; ideal for reading on a cold winter evening.

This is the 1st Book that I have read by the author and it won't be the last I loved everything about this book and I am normally the christmas grinch and avoid any books about christmas but this book changed everything about how I feel I want to go and visit the christmas village in norway and see the northern lights wrapped up in a nice cosy onesie with lots of hot chocolate .

The Post Box at the North Pole is an exquisitely written, super cosy Christmas treat of a novel. Right through I felt like I was right there with Sasha, seeing the wonderful sites she encounters, from the incredible Northern Lights to the candy cane cottages and snow covered surroundings. I must admit to being a tad jealous when Sasha spends the night in an igloo looking up at thje wonderful light show played out in front of her.

Jaimie Admans has a beautifully descriptive style that opens up incredible pictures in your minds eye. I loved the Reindeer and the funny names that Sasha comes up with. I love her absolute resistance to all this Christmas overload she experiences, including her changing view of her estranged father who now seems to be some kind of Father Christmas character to the visitors of the somewhat dilapidated Christmas village. I love her attraction to Taavi, that she just doesn’t want to admit too and I love how she she suddenly seems to find herself not able to walk away from this slightly weird and wonderful place she has ended up in. Creating Christmas miracles to children from all over the world. Can she recapture a long lost love of the festive season?

All in all if you are a Christmas book lover, in need of an early Christmas fix, this in THE book for you. Full of sugary sweet hot chocolate moments, cinnamon pancakes cooked by a super hunky Norwegian and lots and lots of snow covered landscape, this book has it all. I mean come on what more does a Christmas Novel need?

What a beautiful tale about the magic of Christmas. I wanted to visit North Pole Forest and meet Santa, Tav, Sash and the reindeers. I could picture the cabins and igloos, Santas workshop and the post office.. The letters written by children made you stop and think, some people have nothing in life and some have such kind hearts where they want to help people, rather than receive a gift themselves.
This book truly captured the magic and excitement of Christmas and for me it was like a warming cup of hot chocolate, making me feel warm inside and happy!

This book has to be read on the lead up to Christmas - it’s perfect for the cold days, snuggled up inside with a hot drink and a mince pie.

I always have loved Christmas, but this book brought all the feels and sparked that Christmas joy even earlier this year!

This is the perfect book for those who need a little extra Christmas cheer this year wrapped with a good romance. You won’t be disappointed with this book. I can’t wait to read more book by Jaimie Admans.

My favorite quote from the book:

“He exists in the hearts of everyone who keeps the spirit of Christmas alive, and that is true Christmas magic. Add that the spirit of Christmas is never lost for good and you hope he rediscovers it when he most needs it, and gets to share it with his own children one day”.

This book had all the good things: Christmas, big handsome man, compelling story, and even reindeer. It read like a hallmark movie. Cute and fun. My only complaints are that it was predictable and SOOO descriptive. There was a whole paragraph about putting on shoes. I’m a fan of books that give me just enough detail that I can imagine the rest. Reading so much description is a bit cumbersome for me. Otherwise, this was a great, heartwarming story.
