Where do I start?
OK, let me set the scene....
Imagine, you are sat in the biggest, cosies chair, a gorgeous soft handmade blanket over you, a log fire crackling in the background whilst you watch the snow falling outside, all whilst drinking a hot minty chocolate drink.

THAT is how reading this book makes you feel!
So amazingly christmassy, with tales of reindeer, santa, sleigh rides and lots of letters this is a perfect book to get you into the Christmas mood.

This could so easily be made into a film or a children's book without too many changes.

I absolutely fell in love with each character and it was wonderful that there was not too many people so you could concentrate on the important ones. Each character definitely brought their own part of the story alive.

I want to jump right in and live in the North Pole forest!
Thank you Jaimie Admans for such a glorious story that I emerged myself in, could almost smell and touch but when closing my eyes, I was there!

What a wonderful story Jaimie has written! If Hallmark and Disney ever got to together to make a Christmas movie this would be it! This story has the sweetness and the romance of a Hallmark movie and the colorful cheerfulness and touch of magic of a Disney movie. I absolutely loved it!

This book is simply wonderful and really the perfect story to escape into this Christmas season.

Jaimie’s books are always the perfect blend of Christmas and magic- just enough to make you believe in the spirit of the holidays again. The reindeer and and Santa and the elves, it is a Christmas cocktail to get you in the spirit. I think that the letters to Santa were one of the most touching and thoughtful parts of the book; here in Canada, you can send a letter to the North Pole (postal code HOH OHO) and receive a reply from Santa’s elves- I loved seeing that replicated here. (I am all for any tradition that shows a giving spirit.) She always effortlessly works in holiday traditions, and it makes for such a fun and warm read.

I loved Norway as a setting. As a Canadian who lives somewhere that is periodically colder than Mars, I get a kick out of people going to actually cold places (much like Tav!). Jaimie always stages her setting in so well, it is absolutely a main character- I could see the Northern Lights as I was reading. And the reindeer are some of the cutest supporting characters I’ve read in a Christmas book!

The Post Box at the North Pole is cozy, fun, and heartfelt, and it is the perfect book to welcome the holiday season with- get your hot chocolate and get ready to read. If you only read one Christmas book this year, it has to be Jaimie’s!

Wow! What a book!

This is the loveliest, most festive book I think I have ever read. It’s full of love and joy and, best of all, reindeer!

Homebody Sasha finds herself heading to Norway when she receives a call that her estranged father is unwell. Having not seen each other for years, Sasha is nervous about spending Christmas with her adventurous father, a man who has let her down repeatedly.

She finds herself being picked up at the airport by gorgeous Taavi and a sled pulled by huskies and taken to the North Pole Forest, a winter wonderland and home to Santa’s post office.

The forest is beautiful and was once a thriving business. Her father, Perry, has invested in the business to try and revive its fortunes and keep the Christmas magic alive. Sasha is hoping to convince him to sell up and move back to the UK in the new year.

Despite her reservations, Sasha soon finds the candy canes and twinkle lights beginning to work their magic. And when she finds the neglected post office and the bags of letters sent to Santa, Sasha begins to understand how much Christmas means to children, and why her father is so desperate to stay in Norway.

And then there is Tav and his reindeer. Gorgeous and brooding, he sings Christmas songs and works all hours trying to repair the village.

There is an instant connection between him and Sasha and as the days pass their shared sense of humour and growing physical attraction.

I love both Sasha and Tav. Their relationship builds slowly as they begin to trust each other and move past their misunderstandings. Their flirtatious banter will definitely put a smile on your face. I was rooting for them from the moment they meet.

The letters written by the children to Father Christmas are sometimes poignant, sometimes delightful. They are full of hope and joy and innocence.

This is such a delightful book that will rekindle the magic of Christmas for even the biggest non-believer. If this doesn’t have you packing your bags and heading for the snowy Northern Lights then nothing will.

I’m not known for reading Christmas stories before December – yes, I’m usually that pedantic Grinch, but no more! In her book The Postbox at the North Pole, Jaimie Admans had made a convert of me. Or maybe she’s spoiled me with such a magical, heart-warming story that others will fall flat. Who knows? All I know is "it's the most wonderful time of the year!"

As a standalone contemporary romance novel, the story stands up well. Add in the magic of reindeers, The Northern Lights and Santa’s House and it becomes something magical.

Sasha has all but given up on Christmas. Since her mother’s death, her father is never around, and her gran isn’t exactly full of the Christmas spirit. Sasha has just lost her job when she gets a call from her dad asking her to help him out at a reindeer sanctuary in Norway. He’s had a heart attack and can’t manage on his own. Sasha instantly wants him to come back to the UK, but he is just as adamant to stay away. She relents and agrees to fly over on the proviso that she’ll help him get the place ready to sell so that he can return to Britain.

Of course, she’s not expecting to be met at the airport by the strong and silent type, Taavi. Nor does she expect to travel by a husky-drawn sled to the sanctuary. The surprises keep on coming, and since Sasha has never left Britain before, she is wowed by the stunning scenery, the intense cold and then … the awe of the Northern Lights.

There is one more surprise to come. Her father doesn’t run a reindeer sanctuary. He is in fact Santa and owns all of Santaland – from the themed cabins to the igloos, to the elves workshop and the post office. Unfortunately, much of it is in a state of serious disrepair with Taavi being the one-man-band in charge of fixing everything.

Will Sasha even be able to help him get the place ready to sell? There’s a reason why he never came home, why he can’t talk to her about her mum’s death . Getting him to open up to her is a job in itself, and he’s getting on in years. Sasha must make this visit work, she must fill the void in their relationship for both their sakes. But is selling up and taking him away from everything he loves the answer? The village is certainly enchanting and full of innocent charm. Finding sacks of unanswered letters in the Post Office certainly plays a part in showing her how important the place is to her dad and to Tav, as well as to the many children across the world who still believe in Santa.

Cue cheeky reindeers, a sweet love story for the Postlady, and mugs and mugs of hot chocolate.

Tav is the epitome of understated, with his own reason for being so entrenched in his lifestyle and so unwilling to change. Can Sasha really get to the bottom of what’s going on at Santaland and, if she does, will she be able to sell up and walk away? Will she want to?

The author brings the setting to life, with the backdrop of the Northern Lights and Santa’s House how could I not be transported to Santaland? If they’re still open for bookings, then I’m on my way.

Emotional, poignant, mischievous and magical. I loved it and will happily re-read it again and again.

This was an absolutely delightful book deserving of a spot on the Hallmark Channel's Christmas lineup! I enjoyed every moment, every cute Christmas tradition, every soft glance between the two main characters, and even the angst as they had to make tough decisions. The romance is beautifully intertwined with Christmas magic, and it made me wish December would come sooner. It also really sparked my interest in traveling to Norway to see the land, meet the people, and learn about their culture. I love when a book not only warms my heart but also makes me excited to get up and go somewhere.

Sasha Hansely is used to being alone at Christmas. With her mother having passed when she was young and her dad leaving her alone with a nanny to travel around the world, she wishes every year for her dad to come home to be with her. But at thirty-six years old, she's not likely to see her dad change his ways for her. When he calls out of the blue, she expects to get his usual speech about why he can't come home, but instead she hears a frail man on the other end of the phone telling her he's had a heart attack. Rather than come home, he wants her to come to him in Norway, where he has bought a reindeer sanctuary. Giving in to his demands, she packs up a suitcase and flies to him, with the caveat that he put the sanctuary up for sale after the holidays and return home with her to England. When she arrives, she doesn't just find a sanctuary - it's a Christmas-themed resort, complete with an elf workshop, letters from kids around the world, her father playing Santa, and a gruff yet gentle giant named Taavi Salvesen. Soon she's elbows deep in responding to letters and getting closer to Taavi, and it's not long before she realizes that the Christmas magic she has been waiting for may have finally arrived.

The chemistry between Sasha and Taavi was perfect. I loved the banter between them, how he had a difficult time not smiling at her banter and helping her in breathing life back into the resort. This romance was as slow a burn as they come, and I was in agony most of the book waiting with bated breath for them to finally kiss. If you want the steam to happen quickly, this is not the book for you! It's very much in line with Hallmark, very sweet and closed door, though they do actually sleep together a few times - just sleeping, don't get too excited. Their friendship was lovely to read, especially as she broke down Taavi's barriers, and he became more comfortable with her being near. Both of them have scars from past trauma, some internal and others external, and they needed each other to work through them. They grew from acquaintances to friends to lovers over the course of the book, and it felt very natural and genuine. Jaimie Admans did an amazing job also setting an incredibly romantic scene. The resort was one I think we'd all like to go see one day, and maybe we can find out own Norwegian hunk while we're there.

This was my first book by this author, but it certainly won't be my last! I loved their writing style and the way characters came alive on the pages. Excited to read more by this author in the future.

We are taken on a wonderful journey to The North Pole Forest in Norway, where Sasha heads off to try to persuade her elderly father to return to the UK and take things easy.
The North Pole Forest works its magic on Sasha and there follows a charming story of restoring Christmas to this beautiful place.
I recommend this to anyone who needs to reconnect to the magic of childhood Christmases.

Holiday-themed stories are always a favorite as November approaches.
The Post Box at the North Pole is a delightful option that blends a lot of holiday magic with a bit of 'clean' romance.

The brief letters to Santa that appeared at the start of each chapter were a great addition and a way to show the range of views from children.

What you won't find: bad language (O Holy Night! is the euphemism used) or sex (the most the two main characters engage in is snuggling with a bit of kissing and a whole lot of longing.) And this gal is totally fine with this.

What you will find?
A reminder of all that makes Christmas so magical for many. Most importantly, it is about who you are spending the time with rather than what is under the tree.

I'll be looking forward to reading more from Jaimie Adams as I thoroughly enjoyed this title.

Adorable. Christmas magic in abundance. Sasha gets a telephone call from her father, who she hasn’t seen for a number of years,. He tells her that he runs a reindeer sanctuary, but had a heart attack and needs her help. She agrees to go to help him on the condition that he will get the sanctuary valued, sell up and go back to Britain with her. He doesn’t confirm the agreement, but tells her he’s booked her on a flight for the next day, and bring warm clothes. She is met by Taavi who takes her on the last leg of her journey by dog sled. The destination turns out to be a run down Santa village. The first time she sees her father, he’s shouting, “Rudolph number three has escaped and he’s running after him. From there in the magic of Christmas comes alive. I highly recommend this book.

Seasonal frolics and Christmas galore in this magical, cosy treat of a read. I couldn’t put this down as I’d mentally whisked myself away to Norway’s North Pole Forest! It’s festive, it’s keeping the magic well and truly alive for all ages; if you need a bit of festive happiness this year, this book will firmly work wonders!

The oldest, most cynical amongst you are sure to feel the festive spirit after this book, and in my opinion it’s the best yet from Jaimie Admans.

Sasha isn’t that fond of Christmas anymore, the magic died a long time ago for her. Her father is always off exploring the world or doing something daring so she hasn’t got anyone to make this season special. Out of the blue her Dad calls and asks her to visit as he has had a heart attack and he needs her help. Sash jets off to Norway, to go support him and convince him that it’s time to come home.

With a surprise journey awaiting her once she arrives, she meets Taavi who both frustrates and amazes her in equal measure. As the next few days pass, Sash learns more about her Dad, the business and also about Taavi. She also starts reading the letters delivered to Santa and her heart thaws, her sense of wonder slowly starts to return and starts to remember to true magic of Christmas. Feeling like she can do more, Sash sets to work in responding to the letters and providing help where she can.

There is so much to the story; romance, fun, pain, drama, upset and a bit of magical intrigue. It’s wonderful.

I could see this play out as a film, you can picture workshops, festive villages etc. An absolute joy to read and I can’t recommend this highly enough this Christmas.

I wanted to love this. I liked it. A lot. But it just missed and I can’t put my finger on why. I felt like Sasha was a bit one sided and the story focused a lot more on the romance rather than the father/daughter relationship that really needed time and attention.

Jaimie writes such gorgeous books, so this was a 5 ⭐ read before I'd even opened the book!

This was a truly magical Christmassy read & I loved every minute of reading it, will definitely be a re-read for me.

Heartwarming, feel good & everything festive, the story will magic you away with its gorgeous descriptions of the Northern Lights, Santa's Village, Mrs Clauses kitchen, the romance & the pancakes.

You will fall in love with the characters, the reindeer & as the book says 'the happiest people are those who embrace things they love without shame'....that's me, I love anything to do with Christmas & yes, I do like to believe it all exists out there somewhere!

Sasha is a lovely homely girl who has to fly for the first time as her dad is unwell and asks for her help. She manages two flights and a ride on a sleigh pulled by huskies to a Christmas themed village in Northern Norway. Oh and met at the airport by the very hunky Tav.

Once there, all is not as it seems and she realises her dad is up to something. Sasha is determined to leave and take her dad with her but something magical happens, it is Santa's home after all!

I loved the descriptions of the village, the igloos and, of course, the Northern Lights. The characters are lovely although Santa's dad could be a bit irksome at times. I would have happily jumped on a flight and gone there too. Jaimie made everything come to life and sound so magical.

If you only read one Christmas book this year, I would recommend this one.

I adore Jaimie Admans books, I always know that I will be left feeling all happy and content after reading.

I have been so excited for this book and the gorgeous and inviting cover has made this more exciting. I have been pulled in instantly and devoured this in just one sitting.

I love how Jaimie writes, you are pulled in and transported. She has a real talent for making you feel as though you know the characters and it makes it easy to become invested in them.

This is another absolute gem by this author. I have read all of this author’s books and this is high on the list of favourites.

This book has definitely put me in the mood for Christmas and been a book that has completely captivated and changed my mood.

A definite must read.

This book was perfect! It’s magical and it’s cute but it also still makes you feel so many more emotions. I thought Sasha was an incredibly likeable character despite a bumpy grumpy start. Will highly recommend this to anyone and can’t wait to read again in December

Sasha was already having a bad day, having just lost her job, when her father calls her letting her know that he’s overseeing a reindeer sanctuary in Norway and has suffered a heart attack and needs her help. But when she arrives—the last leg of her long day of travel being a 2 hour long dogsled ride through the woods—she finds her destination is much more than just a reindeer sanctuary. It’s an entire Christmas Village located in North Pole Forest. She also discovers her father isn’t in as bad shape as he’d original claimed as the first time she sees him he’s chasing after a loose reindeer, though he now bares a startling resemblance to Santa. While her initial thought was that her father should sell the place and return to England with her, as she spends more time there, getting to know the village and her father’s assistant Taavi, reading the letters to Santa sent to the village post office, the magic of the place begins to get to her and she starts to fall in love with the place, with Taavi, and with Christmas all over again.
This was a fantastic and touching story, and I would absolutely love to visit the amazing location Jamie Adman crafted in this book. And while it may not even be Halloween just yet, this book has already gotten my in the mood for Christmas.

What an absolutely beautiful book.
We meet Sasha who is a down and out who has never had any real friends and has near enough been deserted by her father who went off on his travels after her mother passed away. Raised by her stoic grandmother she hardened to life.
Well, life is just something that happens to her. One winters eve she gets a call from her father and finds herself on a plane to the Nordic area, where she also meets her father's employee Tav.
Tav is 6ft6 and a stubborn, emotionally closed off gentle but firm giant. We also meet her father Percy who fancies himself as Santa.

I love that there is a lot of detail with the language barrier regarding slang, Jaimie also explains the difference between male and female reindeer well.
I was delighted to see my 2nd favourite game behind HayDay, Animal Crossing get a mention.
We find out what Boris Johnsons trunks have in common with a smile.
We also discover that father and daughter cannot cook, or can they?

This Christmas Village needs a lot of TLC to get back on its feet, the magic of Christmas bounces off the letters written by kids who believe in magic and spirit of Christmas.

Will Sasha and her father return to England or will the magic capture her and entice her to stay. The strong chemistry between her and Tav is also something that could get your pulse racing and heart hoping that love will conquer all.

I hope we can revisit these characters in a future book x

It’s something I’ve said before but believe it is well worth repeating; Jaimie Admans has this wonderful talent of being able to take an everyday place or object and truly turn it into something wonderous and magical. Every time I read her books she blows me away by creating something so special and unforgettable. The Post Box in the North Pole is another example of this.
After a desperate phone call from her father Christmas hating Sasha finds herself on a plane to a very remote Christmas village in Norway. Initially, Sasha plans to sell and move her father home with her but her feelings begin to change once she gets there and experiences the magic of the North Pole, and finds a friendship with Taavi who works for her dad.
The setting is just so vividly described and magical and I felt as though I was discovering it along with Sasha. I adored the whole feel of the novel and all the little details added to create a perfect Christmas atmosphere that was perfect for a romance to flourish.
More magic is to be found in the letters that Sasha and Taavi find and it warmed my heart when Sasha tried to use them to make others happy.
There’s just something so utterly and completely charming about this book and it’s impossible not to get lost in the pages and become totally smitten with Sasha and Taavi.
A beautiful Christmas story but then…I didn’t expect anything less. Highly recommended.

This book was the epitome of Christmas, it had everything that I love in a Christmas book!

Wow I loved this book! I have been a big fan of Jaimie's since being recommended through an online book club approx 18 months ago and this book didnt dissapoint. I certainly feel ready for Christmas now, the story follows Sasha who goes to Northern Norway to see her estranged Dad following a health scare. Having never travelled before she is amazed by the Christmas Village there and we follow her discovery of the magic of Christmas and her relationship with Tav the other employee. This had all the magic of Christmas with a good bit of romance thrown in. Highly recommended.
