This has been recommended to me by numerous friends and colleagues who have really enjoyed the content. However, this just wasn’t for me. I found it very basic.

This book had me at the subtitle: The Mind Management Programme to Help You Achieve Success, Confidence and Happiness: The Acclaimed Mind Management Programme to Help You Achieve Success, Confidence and Happiness

I love this type of self help manual, and this is an excellent example of the type. I was delighted to be approved by NetGalley for an e copy, and enjoyed it so much that I will be buying the print version. This books deserves to be read and re-read many times.

Many thanks to NetGalley and to the publisher for allowing me to read a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

An interesting and useful book that I will no doubt dip into more than once. It’s content on brain and behaviour was well explained. I’m not surprised I’d heard good things about this book on social media before being accepted to review a digital copy in exchange for my honest review.

Such an incredible read and really helpful for helping understanding exactly what drives our behaviours and feelings. The instruction manual we all need!

Really fascinating read - I've been reading a lot of self-help type books, and this is an alternative view. Most self-help is quite female focused so it's interesting to see a different point of view.

Thank you to Netgalley, Steve Peters and Vermilion for my copy of The Chimp Paradox in exchange for an honest review.

Synopsis: written by leading consultant psychiatrist Steven Peters this book explores how negative thinking, impulsive behaviour and self doubt can have a negative effect on our personal and professional lives. In this book he explores a successful mind management programme to help people conquer their fears, achieve their dreams and go about their lives with more control, confidence and focus.

I've been meaning to read this book for a while and I'm glad I finally got to it. I've already started to implement some of Dr Peters lessons into my life including naming my chimp: Chimpella! Knowing what chimpella controls and being able to stop and think is this me reacting or chimpella reacting has actually allowed me to become more aware, more calm and to have more control over anxiety and outbursts. It is also helping me manage my workload better. I'm not really usually one for saying self help books work but this one really does! It's also very entertaining in places and I shared some laughs with my husband who now even reminds me to check 'is this you talking or chimpella'. Highly recommended.

I’d already heard about this book, so I was delighted when I got a copy. This is brilliant, it’s written really well and has clear explanations of how the mind works. Defiantly one that I will dip into now and then when I need to. It’s helps you learn to control lots of different issues you may have.

Thank you NetGalley for my complimentary copy in return for my honest review.

A sincere thank you to the publisher, author and Netgalley for providing me with an ebook copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.

This is not my usual genre, I’m more into crime/thriller books and even psychological thrillers too so I am extremely pleased and grateful to them for opening up my mind to something totally different.

This book is amazing and so needed, well it was for me. I suffer from self esteem issues and anxiety and reading this was seeing everything I did to myself and more importantly how to change how I treat myself. Clearly written in plain English and easily understandable, this book will make a difference in how you see yourself once you have read it and how you treat your mind. It’s not a quick fix, it takes work, but it’s a great place to start.

Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for a free copy for an honest opinion
