Yet again Keri Beevis has written an unputdownable and page turning psychological thriller that had me captivated from the very start. I’ve only recently started reading this author and her talent for writing superb thrillers is amazing. I was only a few pages in when I knew that this book was going to be one of those that I’d struggle to put down. Of course I knew fairly early on who the culprit was and I was convinced that I was 100% correct but when the reveal did come I was absolutely lost for words. To sum up a fast paced and gripping read that had me on the edge of my seat at times

I haven't read a psychological thriller in a few months, and this was a great reintroduction to the genre. So many jaw dropping moments as I read, this was really hard to put down.
The action started right away and no slow parts at all. There are a lot of characters here but they're not hard to keep up with.
A woman is housesitting her brother's apartment while he's gone expecting to get away from it all with a little r and r.
It ends up being a bit more than that though.
As she gets to know the other occupants of the apartment, she realizes obsessions are running rampant and not just with one person. Many holy cow, did that just happen moments? A real creep factor you'll feel, and you may just be looking behind you as you read. A very much of a surprise ending that really took me by surprise. An author you absolutely need to read!
I was given a complimentary copy of this book.
All opinions expressed are my own.

Wow! A five star roller coaster read from this talented popular author.
Nina has ended her long term relationship and is housesitting for her brother in his posh apartment.
The power has went out, she is sitting on the balcony and looking through her brothers binoculars she sees a man and woman on a neighbouring penthouse balcony, she continues to watch even though she knows she shouldn’t.
When the woman is reported missing on the news Nina decides to go to the police, she knows what she witnessed is linked to the woman’s disappearance, she is determined to find out more about the guy Julian who lives in the penthouse apartment. She starts her own investigation and learns there is more than one woman missing! Could Julian be a serial killer?
There are some great characters, especially Tabitha, who works for Julian’s father and is obsessed by Julian and nosey Leonard who lives in the same block as Julian,
Twists, turns and surprises keep the reader engrossed!
I have read a number of books by this author, this is definitely my favourite to date.
Many thanks to Net Galley and Boldwood Books for an ARC of this book in exchange for a review.

I am a huge fan of Keri Beevis and, yet again, this book did not disappoint. Full of Hitchcock vibes, this is a dark psychological thriller which will have you looking over your shoulder!
Nina agrees to house sit at her brother’s swanky apartment. Sitting on the balcony she gazes into the lives of her neighbours, and the dark secrets they hide.

Nina is house sitting for her brother when she notices a man and a woman on a nearby balcony. A week later a woman is missing who happens to match the description of the woman Nina saw that night. Nina goes to the police with her information but the man on the balcony has a solid alibi. Nina starts to wonder who she can and can’t trust, and what is that feeling that someone is watching HER, now?
A fast paced thriller told with multiple POV’s. The book kept me interested but I was hoping for more twists. I would still give this a solid 4 stars.

Wild. Wicked. Sinister. Shocking!
International bestselling author Keri Beevis (favorite) returns with THE HOUSE SITTER, a fast-paced, action-filled, sizzling thriller that will leave you on the edge of your seat from page one to the jaw-dropping finale.
While housesitting for her brother in his posh city apartment, a woman becomes convinced that one of his neighbors is hiding a dangerous secret. After witnessing something that turns into a full-blown, suspenseful mystery, she may get more than she bargained for.
About...
Nina has decided not to marry the man she planned and after the breakup, she decides to house-sit for her brother, Dexter's posh city apartment.
She sees a man and a woman on a neighboring balcony and is drawn to them to pass the time. Did they see her watching? She imagines all kinds of scenarios. Things look suspicious.
However, when she learns that this woman on the balcony is missing on the news, she is pulled into the dark mystery and determined to find out what is going on with this Julian guy who lives in the penthouse.
Turns out there is more than one missing woman related to this man. As Nina delves deeper into the mystery, she uncovers a series of disappearances linked to Julian, the man in the penthouse.
My thoughts...
Buckle up, buttercup, get ready for a WILD roller coaster ride! From the stunning front cover, title, and Keri's creative mind and expert writing, you will be drawn into this fascinating thriller with more unexpected twists than you can imagine!
With an array of characters that become involved, surrounding this one man, things spiral out of control, and everyone who gets too close is in danger. But things are not as they seem.
From Nina, Zac, Julian, Leonard (another nosy neighbor), and Tabitha, you will be entertained and engrossed with vibes of The Girl on the Train, Woman in the Window, and Rear Window. Like in these novels, the characters in 'THE HOUSE SITTER' are intricately connected, and the author cleverly pulls out ALL the stops. Prime for the big or small screen.
What passes the time simply by watching her brother's neighbors turns into MURDER (s), but leave it up to Queen Beevis to turn the simple pastime into something complex, captivating, suspenseful, and deliciously wicked!
She keeps you on your toes with twists, turns, and surprises. This one was very realistic! A narrative driven by compelling characters and a gripping plot!
If you have not read Keri Beevis's work, you are missing out and in for a rare treat! She is a pro.
Recs...
THE HOUSE SITTER is for Beevis fans, and those who enjoy works by Ruth Ware, BA Paris, Kimberly Belle, Lisa Unger, Mary Kubica, Kaira Rouda, Victoria Helen Stone, and Freida McFadden.

This book was a little different than I expected. It is not a pure thriller but also has a romance element to it. It is a fun read with twists that come out of nowhere!

Nina has just broken up with her boyfriend and isn't sure where to go from here, but luckily her brother is going abroad to meet his partners parents and needs a cat-sitter at his rented apartment. This'll give Nina time to relax and consider her options, without the opinions of her overbearing mother. The stay doesn't turn out to be as relaxing as Nina first thought. For one, Zac (who owns the apartment) returns home and, since they've fought since childhood, she's not sure if he'll make her leave with nowhere to go. And also, during a power cut, bored and alone, Nina watches some of her neighbours with binoculars, the penthouse across the courtyard in particular. When the woman she sees is then reported missing, Nina phones the police. Except the man who lives there has an alibi, and someone else saw Nina watching...
It's tremendous, every time I read a Beevis book I think yeah that's my favourite now...this one too. It's exciting, twisty and turny, from a few different characters perspectives. Hurry up and write another one Keri thanks.
Review also shared to Goodreads but unable to link account.

This book flows so seamlessly that before you know it, you've whizzed right through it! An intriguing story with lots of interesting characters and red herrings along the way.

This novel reminds me why I love Keri Beevis so much! It seems like it's been forever since I've read a new book by her, probably because I wish she could write a new one every day! Since that wouldn't ever be possible, reading The House Sitter was a treat! It has the normal Ms. Beevis suspense that builds and builds, keeping you awake until way past your bedtime, then it has the "I never saw THAT coming" Keri Beevis twist, and it takes off into a sprint to the end! Seriously, if you haven't read a Keri Beevis novel, get this! Get any of them, really, but today I'm talking about The House Sitter! Read it! You'll adore it!

Another Keri Beevis hit. I really enjoy all of Keri's books and this one did not disappoint. We follow Nina as she agrees to house sitter while her brother goes on holiday. While in the apartment, she finds binoculars and begins to look on her neighbors. When she hears that a woman is missing, she knows it's the woman that she saw in the penthouse that night she was snooping. Nina is determined to uncover the truth but it will be hard since the man in the penthouse has an alibi and denies the woman was ever there.
The suspense in this book is what kept me hooked. Ms. Beevis is very good at weaving the characters in and out of the story. I thought everything was brought together perfectly. I had moments when I could of guessed it could of been any of the characters ho did it. The pace in the middle slowed down just a little bit and I didn't understand why since it picked up again in the end but other than that, this book is fantastic. 4.5 stars
I highly recommend The House Sitter and anything really by Keri Beevis.

As always with Keri's books I was immediately invested and was drawn into the mystery of the neighbours and just had to find out the truth.

Keri Beevis does it again! The tension you feel reading this is so real.
The House Sitter by Keri Beevis was utterly incredible.
There is plenty of tension and suspense as the author keeps the reader second-guessing.
This has been an engaging and unputdownable read from the very first page.
A dark and chilling psychological thriller.

Nina agrees to house sit for her brother while he goes away for a long holiday. Not knowing what to do one day during a power cut, she finds some binoculars and decides to spy on the neighbours. She is drawn to a man in a penthouse and a woman who then joins him. When a woman is reported missing later in the week she realises that it’s the woman she saw in the penthouse and that she hasn’t been seen since that night.
This was a fun thriller, which also had a bit of romance thrown into the mix. I was interested in the story and the setting almost straight away and even though this trope has been done multiple times before, I enjoyed the way it was told and it had an interesting spin on it. The characters were intriguing, however I found Nina quite frustrating at times. I found the story slowed in pace by the middle but it picked up again towards the end, where there were some twists and turns. I did find it quite predictable, however I still enjoyed the outcome. This was a solid thriller overall and one that’s worth a read. 3.5 stars rounded down. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this copy in return for an honest review.

After my relationship breaks down, I agree to house-sit my brother Dexter's posh apartment whilst he's out of the country. It will give me some much needed head-space. Sitting on the balcony one sweltering summer evening in the midst of a power cut, i'm given a secret window into the lives of the residents in the opposite building, and i see more than i should. I'm drawn to the man in the penthouse and watch him closely, and when a striking woman joins him on the balcony, i can't keep my eyes away. The following weekend a woman matching her exact description is reported missing. She's not been seen since that fateful night. When i go to the police, the man in the penthouse has a cast iron alibi and denies she was ever there.
I was instantly hooked. My head was spinning as i jumped from character to character believing they were the guilty one. Nina is house-sitting and looking after her brother's cat while he and his boyfriend are away on holiday. The night they have a power cut, Nina picks up her brother's binoculars and decides to see what the neighbours are up to.
I loved this twisted read, the characters were well-developed in this fast-paced read, and i could not put it down.

I love Keri Beevis books, and this one didn't fail to hit the spot too. It is a great thriller full of suspense tension, and twists.
Very good writing and an intriguing plot make this book an absolute page turner, and I wasn't able to stop reading until the killer was revealed... and it was indeed a big surprise!
A book I highly recommend to fans of psychological thrillers!

This book kept me hooked from start to finish. I enjoyed reading the story through the different characters' perspectives. I had my doubts about a few people lol. This was my first Keri Beevis book and I'm excited to read more of her stuff!

Thank you to Boldwood Books, Keri Beevis, and NetGalley for the copy of The House Sitter.
I have come to really enjoy reading Keri’s books and this one was no different. I absolutely loved this one and loved all the points of view. I couldn’t wait to see where this was going and really enjoyed it!!

‘Her final thought as the shovel raises, ready to strike again, is that today was supposed to be the start of her new life. Instead, it’s going to be the end of it.’
After rejecting her boyfriend Michael’s marriage proposal, Nina moves out. Fortunately, her brother Dexter and his partner are heading to Hong Kong for a few weeks, and Nina moves into his apartment to housesit and look after his cat, Hannibal. A breathing space for Nina while she looks for a place of her own.
The very first night, in the middle of sweltering hot weather, the apartment block experiences a power outage. Nina escapes to the balcony where it is marginally cooler. From this vantage point, Nina can see into the next block of apartments. She is drawn to a man in the penthouse, and when he is joined by a woman on the balcony she cannot stop watching. And when a woman of her exact description is reported missing, Nina goes to the police.
What follows is a story full of suspense with some unexpected twists. Nina is not the only person observing others. Meet Leonard, an older man who lives in the apartment under the penthouse. And then, the return of Zac, who owns the apartment Nina is housesitting, complicates matters further.
Ms Beevis has assembled an interesting cast of characters to carry this story forward. It took me quite a while to work out what was going on as there were quite a few possibilities. This is the first of Ms Beevis’s books I have read: I’ll be looking for others.
I’d recommend this novel to anyone who enjoys suspense with a twist.
Note: My thanks to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for providing me with a free electronic copy of this book for review purposes.
Jennifer Cameron-Smith

When Nina offers to stay at her brother's rental and feed his cat she doesn't know she is getting herself into a tangled web of missing women, creepy neighbors and a danger to her life. Nina recently broke up with her long-term boyfriend after realizing they were not really in love with each other. She had been living at the house they shared and didn't know where to go when her brother offered a solution. Dexter and his boyfriend rented a nice apartment from a friend named Zak who was out of town, and they are taking a vacation to Hong Kong. Nina moves in and since she works out of the house, this sounds like a perfect plan until she decides her next step.
One night when she decides to sit on the balcony and use binoculars to check out the apartments on the other side of the complex; she gets more than she bargained for when she sees the handsome neighbor Julian and another woman getting busy on the balcony. She doesn't think anything of it until a news report shows the woman to be missing and Nina is very sure that Julian was the last to see her alive. This starts a dangerous course of action as Nina is determined to find out if Julian is guilty. We get some chapters from the viewpoint of Julian as well as from a woman named Tabitha who is also keeping tabs on Julian as well as a nosy neighbor, Leonard. Nina is struggling to do the right thing while also battling feelings of attraction to her brother's friend Zak who has come home sooner than planned and now shares the apartment. Some twists and turns as well as romance in this one and the author does a good job of pacing the story out and making us worry about Nina.
