The Wish by Heather Morris
I give this book 5 stars.

A beautiful story that blends personal growth, grief, and the power of connection. We follow Jesse who is facing the trials of a terminal illness but has a love for video games and makes a wish. We then meet Alex (I didn’t like him at first) a virtual reality game designer who connects with Jesse to help her wish come true.
Both Jesse and Alex are at crossroads in their lives when they meet for the first time and the heartfelt journey the characters undergo across the story will stay with me long after I closed the book.
Heather Morris’s writing style is evocative. She has a way of capturing the raw emotion and intertwining it with hope, creating a story that resonates with readers. There are moments of humour and warmth, mixed in with love, loss and how we cope with both.
A book about human connection and the importance of leaving a legacy.
