Another solid, if slightly forgettable, addition to the Geek Girl series. You can see why it's been a hit with younger readers, but a trilogy would have been enough. The prose can get a bit repetitive and while Harriet's escapades are entertaining, the tightness of pace and prose in Sophia Bennett's Threads or The Look makes them a more sophisticated recommendation.

I just love Geek Girl series so much! I love Harriet Manners and wish she was my best friend. In this 5th book Harriet is apart of team JINTH. which stands for Jasper, India, Natalie, Toby and Harriet. the group of best friends. but they start to get fed up with Harriet as she is going way over the top with everything and planning things way too much. Her friends are starting to feel trapped and bossed around. But after she realizes her mistakes she puts everything right again.

love love love! I don't want this series to end. everyone should read geek girl - Harriet Manners is just an amazing character

5/5 stars.

I love the Geek Girl series, and especially Harriet Manners, and I loved this installment of her adventures. I really liked seeing Harriet develop and become more grown up over the course of the book, and I liked seeing her move on from her first love and discover that first doesn't mean only. I think this is one of my favourite books from the series - it was laugh out loud funny and a joy to read.
