After his parents die Jacques’ is moved from France to England to be cared for by his legal guardian. This coming of age read is a wonderful read. It is written sensitively and I was moved by Jacques plight. Tanya was a caring and lovely lady and although Oliver was a gruff and unfeeling guardian I liked him too. Not often do we come across a book that stays with the reader, but this one does just that, it is a book to re read and recommended |
