Description

One wild night of drinking led to Catelyn Wolf marrying Sheikh Rami in a lavish, beautiful ceremony. At least, that’s what the pictures show. Turns out Catelyn faked the whole wedding with some photoshopped pictures in a desperate attempt to give her fledgling wedding planning business, Elite Occasions, a chance at survival. The Hail Mary worked, and now they have their first client—with a multimillion-dollar wedding to boot. True, her besties, who are also her business partners, weren’t happy with the elaborate lie, but even they had to admit that it worked like a charm...that is until Sheikh Rami himself shows up, demanding to meet “his wife.”

Sheikh Rami has no time to find a suitable bride, not with his huge contract with a Texas oil company on the rocks. So when news of his “wedding” is uncovered by his brother, Catelyn’s “joke” turns into the answer to Rami’s prayers. Catelyn is good friends with the owner of the oil company—the perfect way to get an in with the company. All he needs is a big rock and an even bigger divorce clause to officially marry by his deadline. The fact that Catelyn is hot as sin only helps matters...

Catelyn, however, does not go gently down the aisle, and Rami is forced to threaten the business she and her friends have worked so hard to build. If she doesn’t marry him, he’ll out their biggest wedding as a lie and she’ll be ruined. But as their business-only relationship turns decidedly passionate, the two become entangled both in the bedroom as well as in business. In the end they’ll have to decide if the marriage that began as fake is actually fate.

Rami was the brother of the Sheikh of Al-Dashalid.. He was in the United States, as he wanted Morris International to distribute the oil in Al-Dashalid in the U. S. and Lydia had the best of terms. This was a business deal yet he had to attend her cocktail party as Lydia expected to be courted , to be charmed, to become friends, wasn’t that a bit much ...extra emotion. It was about oil distribution, not a marriage proposal. He needed a way out, some excuse he could make . this party bored him. Than Rami said he needed to make a phone call and was headed to the exit but first he collided with a woman who had beautiful blue eyes. Catelyn had not planned on being trampled by a prince. Catelyn had been on her way to Lydia’s cluster of friends to say her goodbyes. She only wanted so much of her weekend home at this party. This was why she had been avoiding Lydia. Lydia was her former mentor, had taught her everything about business. So naturally she had expected Catelyn to join her company not start her own wedding- planning business in New Jersey. Lydia had spent lunch today trying to convince Catelyn to take a Junior Executive position at Morris Industries. Than Catelyn’s mom was there telling Rami Catelyn was going to Al-Dashalid on an international tour by herself. Rami said it was dangerous for a beautiful woman to travel alone. Catelyn said she had to go and shook hands with Rami. The minute their palms touched an electric delight moved up her spine. Nope, no crush on a sheikh, not going to happen. Bookings had been slim for at least the last six months. Daisy and Laura were Catelyn’s partners and best friends. Business had been so slow she had to cancel her international cruise. Catelyn had a couple glasses of wine and remembered meeting Sheikh Rami a month ago and thought if she could plan his wedding that would catapult her company- Elite Occasions- right to the top. Catelyn had a nice bizz and was looking at pictures of Rami online when she had an idea come to her. Catelyn had a knack for photoshop. Catelyn had set up a faux wedding to pitch to a bridal magazine and Rami could replace the guy they used as the groom. She was the bride and Rami could be put in as the groom. It had taken several hours to process the six pictures she was adding to her blog. She figured Rami would never see her blog. She decided it would all work out. At best the photos would garner them some quick business, at worst, nobody would notice and the business would fail. Catelyn’s blog got a lot of attention more than she had bargained for. They had booked more weddings in the last four days than the last four months combined. Issam was Rami’s younger brother and took his responsibilities regarding the country’s security both at the borders and at the palace seriously. Issam showed Rami the blog post about his wedding. A wedding he never attended . He certainly never arranged it. Yet, there he was in the photos. Rami knew if he married Catelyn he’d have a closer connection to Lydia. Also ancient laws of his country required Rami to be married by the age of thirty in order to weld his power as a member of the royal family. He was already twenty nine. Best of all Catelyn needed him too. Rami turned up at Catelyn’s office and five hours later they were legally married.
I really loved this story. Again Ms. North wove her magic and gave us another great book. I loved Rami and Catelyn together and even though Rami was of royal blood Catelyn really helped him in a lot of ways. I really loved that Catelyn was very strong on her own. I loved the plot and the pace. I didn’t want to put this down and rarely did. Yes I did lose some sleep but this was worth it. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this book and I highly recommend it.
