This book was amazing!!! This whole baseball team is headed to Puerto Rico for a tournament. We have a bunch of kids, the coach and his ex wife who are not together, a mother who is the booster club president, and the mother of a baseball player who was killed three years ago in a hit and run. Other passengers include an air marshal who has a thing for one of the flight attendants, and Billy who was a big baseball star back in his day, along with his ex and his fiancé. How all of these people are connected is insane!! A bad storm, a murder, and lots of backstabbing. This book is so good! I can't even say how much I loved it.

Murder at 30,000 Feet was such a high octane thriller from the very first chapter. Set almost entirely onboard a flight from London to Los Angeles, the story follows several groups of passengers whose lives gradually become tangled together as tensions rise in the air.

What I really enjoyed was how well Susan Walter balanced the different storylines. There is a teenage sports team travelling with their fiercely competitive mothers and exhausted coach, a hen party already causing chaos before take off, flight attendants carrying their own secrets and an ageing air marshal worried he may no longer be up to the job. At first the connections between everyone are not obvious, but the way the threads slowly come together was brilliantly done.

The character development was much stronger than I expected in such a fast paced thriller. Even with a large cast, the main players all felt distinct and believable, and I became genuinely invested in what would happen to them. The claustrophobic setting worked perfectly too, creating that trapped feeling where the tension keeps building with nowhere to escape.

The pacing barely lets up and there were several moments where I realised I was holding my breath while reading. It felt incredibly cinematic and I raced through it in no time.

A tense, entertaining and seriously addictive thriller that would make a fantastic holiday read.

With thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.

Murder at 30 000 feet is a high-octane thriller, mainly set on an in-flight airplane.
This certainly has excitement value and one particular scene where the aircraft was looking to land was nail-biting.
There were a few too many threads for me which added a bit of wooliness to the plot, but generally this was well-paced, exciting and an enjoyable, at times gripping thriller.
Thanks to the Firefinch publishing and Netgalley for providing me with an Advance Reader's Copy in exchange for an honest, unbiased review.

Wow !! This was definitely a white-knuckle thriller with the action kicking off straight away when a man is founded murdered in the toilet during a flight to Puerto Rico. When turbulence strikes, so does a killer and Air Marshal Carlos Renaldo must try to solve the crime, but with a killer on board no one is safe.

Told in four parts, this is the perfect kind of escapist book with layered characters, small town secrets and an original and intriguing premise of someone being murdered during a flight.

I liked the structure of the book, which included conversations with FBI agents on the ground, and the short chapters and the constant suspicion hanging over everyone made this easy to read. All the characters in this book each brought something to the story and they were all believable.

The strongest part of this book for me, was the constant sense of unease. The pacing never lets up and I was left thinking - can anything else go wrong here - and then it did. If you’re looking for a thriller that’s a bit different and that will actually thrill you, this is definitely a contender. 4.5 stars🌟rounded up.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Firefinch Publishing for the ARC.

Murder at 30,000 Feet by is a fast-paced locked-room mystery with the added tension of being trapped on a plane. The story takes off quickly and never really lets up, blending suspense, secrets, and plenty of red herrings along the way. I loved the feeling that anyone could be hiding something, and the twists kept me guessing right up until the final reveal. A fun, gripping thriller that's perfect for fans of classic whodunnits with a modern edge.
