Description
One of four sisters, south Londoner and British Pakistani Iman Asghar has so far been unlucky in love. So she decides to try an arranged marriage, allowing her widower mum, Raheela, to use a matchmaker to find the perfect husband. With everything planned for the big day, the family gather in their home to welcome her third potential match, Dawud.
What isn't planned is Dawud dropping dead in the Asghars' living room.
The police rule his death as an accident - a verdict that does little to change the minds of the community, who are convinced that Iman's family murdered her potential match.
In a bid to clear her family's name, Iman decides to investigate. And as she gets to know Dawud's extended family and friends, she begins to suspect that his death may not have been an accident after all . . .

I was lucky enough to get an early copy of Arranged Murder by Faaiza Munir through NetGalley - and this was such a fun, fresh take on the cosy murder mystery. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Iman Asghar hasn’t exactly had much luck in love, so she agrees to let her widowed mum and a matchmaker help find her a husband.
Enter potential match number three, Dawud.
Except instead of finding out whether he could be the one… he drops dead in the Asghars’ living room. 😳
The police say accident.
The community says MURDER.
And the local gossip? Well, apparently Iman’s family did it.
So Iman decides there’s only one thing for it - clear her family’s name and solve the mystery herself. 🔎
I absolutely flew through this! The mystery kept me guessing, but it was the Asghar family that really made it for me. The four-sister dynamic, matchmaking, family expectations, community gossip and British Pakistani culture give the story so much personality.
There’s humour alongside the mystery, plenty of family chaos and secrets to uncover, and Iman is exactly the kind of amateur sleuth I love following.
Murder, matchmaking, four sisters, family chaos and ALL the gossip - what more could I want?!
It has everything I want from a cosy mystery while still feeling completely fresh. And that title? Arranged Murder is just 👌🏼
