Beautifully written for loss of a mother. Even as an adult who lost a mother this was beautiful and I can imagine what an impact this book could have on a child dealing with loss.

The illustrations are Beautiful!

Thank you for the opportunity to read this e-arc.

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC of You Know I'm Here. This story deals with grief in a very understandable and easily digestible way for kids. It shows that someone can still be with you in you heart even if they can't physically be here. This is an important subject to cover and this book does a great job. The illustrations are absolutely beautiful as well.

This book is great for children and adults alike. I’ve recently lost someone, and although it isn’t the first time, grief does not get easier over time, but this book helped me get through this process once more.

The illustrations are also amazingly done and the continuity of the art styles and colours within the book is very pleasing to look at.

I'm so glad to see more kids books addressing grief. It makes them feel like they aren't alone and their feelings are valid, especially if they don't feel like talking to an adult about it. This would be a great book for a child to read alone when they just want time to be with their missing loved one.

Thank you to Netgalley, Jon Reider, and BookGoSocial for an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest feedback.

This was a really lovely read. I will definitely be purchasing a copy for my future classes to read should I need to discuss this topic with them

As both a mother to two young children and a professional who works closely with kids, this book touched me deeply. It brought tears to my eyes, but also left me feeling hopeful.

At its heart, You Know I’m Here is a tender, poetic exploration of grief written from the perspective of a mother who has passed away. Its gentle words affirm for children that even though death separates us physically, love endures—and our loved ones remain with us in memory, in moments of joy, and in the quiet spaces of our hearts.

The illustrations are simple yet beautiful, showing a boy moving through his days while still encountering the presence of his mother. That balance of honesty and comfort makes the story accessible for children while still deeply moving for adults.

What sets this book apart is its practicality as well as its beauty. At the end, there’s a thoughtfully crafted guide for caregivers to help navigate conversations with children about death and loss. It’s a resource I believe will be invaluable both for families and professionals working with grieving children.

A beautiful and meaningful resource for families walking through grief together.

A very sweet book about a child grieving the loss of a parent. The illustrations were beautiful and the sentiments expressed were so deep and touching, yet accessible enough for a child to understand. Lovely.
