I enjoyed the mystery. It was well written and grabbed your attention from page one. But it the characters, the author wrote the most intriguing and colorful characters that I've read in along time

No offense. I don't know how I ended up with picking this book, but not my type at all. It's a mystery that involves all sorts of situations. I just did not care after a very short while, but I am sure a mystery lover will find it a charming read. Just not for me.

I wasn't quite sure what to expect with this book, but I am happy to say I was pleasantly surprised. The story was engaging and the interactions between the characters seemed realistic. As the granddaughter of a preacher, I enjoyed the description of the main character's life. The main mystery was well written, and I was surprised by the unveiling of the resolution. This book was a little more faith-based than I expected, even though it had a pastor as the main character, I think it could turn a non-believer off. I did think that there were a few too many characters, so keeping them all straight was a little confusing. Overall, though, I enjoyed the book and would recommend it.

I was given a copy of this book by Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
