An Alpha Female and an Abbot - a curious combination of crime-fighting duo. This is the first in a series featuring DI Tamsin Shah and Abbot Peter - a modern day father Brown - that I have read.

An apparent suicide brings trouble to the door of Abbot Peter, and as the body count rises, Tamsin and Abbot Peter must work together to bring the investigation to a swift conclusion.

Mixed feelings - I like the story premise; the non-conventional side-kick to ambitious police officer; but something was just lacking that I can't quite put my finger on; but I will pursue the series.

He ain't no Father Brown. It took a minute for me to get into the story but when I did I rather enjoyed it. Enjoyed the storyline and the characters.

A so-so mystery that's populated with just okay plotting and not particularly intriguing characters.
