This is a story of family. Although set mainly in New Zealand it could relate to small town life and some people's need to escape it anywhere.
Isla i back in new Zealand after 010 years in London, but the story is not all about her, it is also about her grandmother Bridget, and is told through a series of flash backs to her teenage years.
A nice easy read.
