I did not finish this book. While I appreciate the offer to have the novel., I have stopped reading any romance novels that stray more into erotica.

I thought the premise of this story was interesting. Even though the relationship developed as the book went on, I didn't think there was enough of a connection between the two main characters come the end.

The title says it all: Earth girl is chosen as the perfect mate for the leader of an almost annihilated race. He expects complete obedience, she’s not built for that, so they clash while he teaches her to enjoy the sex and the punishments.
I enjoyed the anthropological aspects of an alien learning to deal with a human female, and having even worse luck than human males. There’s a few instances where I chuckled, “Dude. . .” The shower scene was both erotic and hilarious.
I’ve reviewed enough master/slave stuff to be bored by it, so I concentrate on the story and the characters, both of which are excellent here. Especially pleasing to find an author who knows her craft so well; I can definitely see why Zander fell in love with Lamira.

Renee Rose really knows how to write a super-hot book and "His Human Slave" is no exception. Lamira becomes Zander's slave to help him repopulate his people. A reader may worry that Zander is too hard on her or that this book is to graphic, it is hot, but it is sweet as well. Zander begins caring about Lamira pretty quickly and of course, Lamira cares about him. Lots of hotness to melt your Kindle!

I absolutely thoroughly enjoyed reading this novel. It draws you in and keeps you intrigued at every single turn. The story line is just genius. It screams erotic and the wording is straight to the point. I have to say I really could not put the book down so much so that I managed to complete reading this book in a day and a bit. The mother-daughter connection made it even more intriguing as I have a close bond with my mother. I also have a sister so it kind of resembled my family which was awesome.

The detail in the storyline was great. It was easy to envision it playing out in my mind. The descriptions of characters etc made it more possible to imagine what is exactly happening in the novel.

Thank you for such an intriguing fascinating and thrilling novel.

3.5 Stars! I forgot that I have already read this story in an anthology. So here is my review I posted for it.

Zander is from Zandian and is the prince of a planet-less race. He is working hard to prepare for war to reclaim their home planet. Lamira is a human, daughter of a famous soldier. Her mother was captured when she was pregnant with Lamira and has hidden their true identities with the Ocretions. She has a gift that would cause her and her mothers death if revealed. Zanders people wish to have him breed before he goes off to war to insure the continuation of his race. His physician has found Lamira to be the most compatible to breed. Zander is less than thrilled since humans are looked upon as the lowest of race. He sees them as weak and prone to deception. This has spanking, restraints, caging and an Alpha male.

I am a fan of Renee Rose's work so I hate to admit that I was not a complete fan of Zander. Lamira IS a slave, but he accused her of lying too many times and punished her for things she didn't do. He does come to see the error of his ways. Despite that, I do enjoy this author's writing and this ends as if there is more to the story involving Lamira's sister which I would very much like to read. ARC provided by NetGalley.
