Ferret seems to be having it all but what he longs to do is follow his dream of becoming a paranormal
investigator. I did not quite get it till much later in the story.

Totally different to what I was expecting, it was a bit unreal. But it did draw you in and that is the
part of it being a good book.

Maybe the cover drew me in. Not at all what I expected and did not finish. Not interesting to me . But I'd bet lots of other readers will enjoy it as it seems to have a decent plot, interesting characters, etc...

This is a rather odd book. It's classified under General Fiction (Adult)/ Mystery Thriller, but I really feel it would sit better in a Young Adults category - it felt a bit immature to me.

Both the characters and the writing style strongly reminded me of the Artemis Fowl series. In fact, I think it's a shame that some of the more mature themes weren't toned down so it could have been positioned for that younger age group.

Overall, whilst I can appreciate the creativity, it wasn't for me. I will, however, be passing it to my son who, having previously read Artemis Fowl when younger, I think will enjoy it.

I received a review copy of this book.

Very strange book, couldn't decide whether to carry on or not but it has a fascination about the storyline that makes you want to find out what is going on and how it all finishes! Very glad that I did read it to the end though and look forward to more from this author!
