It has been so long since i read any Samantha Young, I think I read a couple of the On Dublin Street, loved them and then moved on. When it was announced that Hart's Boardwalk was been released, again I was super excited but still didn't read them (what is that all about?!) It was about time i changed that as i work threw my ever growing TBR.

Bailey is the princess of the boardwalk, its hers - her family are like the royalty of the town, and her loyalty and free spirit makes those around her adore her - even Vaughn Tremaine- renowned bachelor and blue blood. Bailey is going through a rough patch with her boyfriend, and when she heads out to surprise him and is greeted with a huge betrayal she flips her lid ( I don't blame her ) Trying to move on and refocus her life when she feels like she has wasted so many years is proving harder than Bailey thought, especially when she keeps fighting with Vaugh.

Vaugh has admired Bailey from a distance for so long, but knows he isn't capable of what she would want, and besides every time they meet - they fight. However, one night brings them together but it also drives them further apart than they have ever been. When realisation hits, Vaughn is going to have to fight harder than ever before to prove to Bailey she can trust him.

Every Little Thing is a smokin' hot novel with all the seaside community feels i love, but more a sizzle and spark than the usual chick lit i opt for. The residents of Hartwell are all a mixed bunch and i cannot wait to spend more time learning their stories. However, there is a few you might want to avoid should you bump into them.

With a community backing Bailey, and Vaughn been an outsider who simply isn't involved - it's not hard to see whose side they will pick, but can he prove them wrong? Is their more to Vaughn Termaine than meets the eye ( I mean, that site is fantastic enough!) Samantha has once again created a sizzling summer read.

Samantha Young quickly became one of my favourite authors after I read her debut adult contemporary novel On Dublin Street. That book definitely sealed the deal for me and since then every time Sam announces a new novel I'm desperate to read it. Every Little Thing is the second novel in Sam's Hart's Boardwalk series set in the town of Hartwell. Throughout the first book - The One Real Thing - readers were treated to the delicious building tension between the two main characters due to feature in the second novel - Vaughn and Bailey.

Vaughn and Bailey are rival hotel owners in the quiet town. Bailey runs her family business and Vaughn, with his big flashy New Yorker suaveness is the owner of the brand new resort in the town. While each offers it's own unique flavour of staying in Hartwell, Bailey can't help but clash with Vaughn at every turn. Following on from the first novel the undercurrents of trouble with the infamous town rogues are apparent in this novel too and it takes everything in Vaughn and Bailey to unite against that force.

Bailey is as firey as her red hair and she love to meddle too, especially in her friends love lives which we already know. When she faces off against Vaughn the unresolved sexual tension is almost too much. The two characters are so alike and it's as if neither of them can see it. Bailey and Vaughn also have other similarities which are unveiled throughout the novel and you can see clearly from the beginning that they are, in fact, made for each other.

The story follows the pair as they grow closer and again as something comes between them. Something that will either unite them or break them. It's fast paced, exciting and full of tension that naturally brews between the characters. If you've read any of Sam's books before and are yet to pick this up yet then do!

In Ever little Thing we finally have the story of Bailey and Vaughn. For those who are already familiar with the series Harts Boardwalk's, you met these two in the previous book. I liked the first book in the series, but I like this even more.

The story of Bailey and Vaughn is that of type enemy to lovers story, a story that never get tired of reading and enjoying, so here wasn't different.

Bailey Hartwell is the owner and operator of Hartwell's inn, and LOVE your life in this small town. Then just Vaughn appear to build a luxury hotel in your town for her to see him as an enemy. And this enmity lasts a long time, hiding a mutual attraction between the two.But Bailey to a stable relationship of 10 years and everything is going well, until one day your longtime boyfriend makes a mistake and the thing between them end up.And now with Bailey single, the sparks between her and Vaughn are sharper than ever.

Bailey is a fantastic heroine. When I read the first book I thought I was going to love her and in this book was exactly what happened. She is determined, smart, courageous, independent, romantic and loyal to their friends and family.Vaughn also is a great character, he's an alpha male, protective, loving, more a little head too hard and at times I wanted to slap him to see if he would wake up.The dynamics between them was great from the beginning, the end and the push-pull between them worked perfectly here, bringing funny moments for the book.

This series has so many characters that promise to have their own stories to tell that it's good to see them and make me anxious for what will be the next person of this "Gang" to make your story.Just between us: I'm waiting to be Dáliah and the mystery guy, but whatever character I know your story will be enjoyable to read.

My only complaint in history was the reason for Vaughn reluctant to have a relationship. For me the reason was stupid, and not convinced the delay. And I also think that they could have developed a little more the dynamics of them as a couple. The ending was a bit rushed. But those details didn't get the fun of the story.

Ever little Thing is a story captivating , sweet, funny and romantic, which promises to have more from other residents of this lovely city. I can't wait to see who will be the next.

“We were two people who were attracted to each other and didn’t want to be.
Of course there was going to be hostility. And here I thought he was just a dick.”

A view months ago I read the first book in the Hart’s Boardwalk series called ‘The One Real Thing’. I loved that book. The setting was great, the characters amazing and I couldn’t wait to read ‘Every Little Thing’, the second book in the series. And finally the book was there and I requested it ASAP on Netgalley. And as fast as I could I started reading.

In ‘Every Little Thing’ we meet Bailey Hartwell and Vaughn Tremaine. Bailey is a successful inn owner, with lots of friends and great neighbors. She seems to have everything she needs. But when Bailey get betrayed everything seems to fall apart. And the thing Bailey hates most, is the way Vaughn makes her feel.
Vaughn is desperate to keep Bailey out of his mind. He isn’t the right guy for her, and she seems to hate his guts. But somehow he just can’t stay away of the beautiful redheaded woman and he does everything to make sure she is okay.

We already met Bailey and Vaughn in the first book, so I was thrilled to read their story. There was already this amazing chemistry in the short moments we read about them in the first book so I just knew this book would be pretty damn hot. And it was. I just loved Bailey and Vaughn. They were perfect for each other, but of course they didn’t see it like that themselves. They were harsh and cruel with each other, and I was just waiting for them to finally give in to those feelings. Of course they were very stubborn and things got tough.. but in the end. Sigh.. I love this series.

The best thing about this series is definitely the setting and the characters. The little town of Hartwell is just my dream town. It’s small, cozy, neighbors take care of each other and there is a nice tourist flow to keep things interesting. I would definitely like to life in this town.
And the characters are just so interesting and fun.

‘Every Little Thing’ is my third Samantha Young read, and I must say I really love her writing. Her writing is fun, interesting, sexy and very romantic. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. I saw some hints throughout this book about two other characters and I can’t wait to read their story.

If you haven’t started the Hart’s Boardwalk series, you should definitely start now!

We all remember Bailey and Vaughn. We already met and fell for them in the first book in this series. The One Real Thing
Bailey runs the Boardwalk's old Inn and Vaughn opened a new luxury hotel on the other end of the Boardwalk three years ago.
And they were always coexisting in town. Not friends, not liking each other much, but okay with each other. Because both don't want the horrible Devlin family to buy out all business and destroy their beloved Boardwalk.
But there's also this huge attraction on both sides. But Bailey has been with Tom for ten years, and Vaughn doesn't do relationships.
But now things with Tom are changing drastically!!!!
Could now be the time for Bailey and Vaughn? They're old enough to finally settle down.
But they can't be within two feet of each other without arguing and hurting each other with their words....

Will we get our happily ever after??
READ THE BOOK TO FIND OUT! ☺

FINALLY!
Finally it's Bailey's & Vaughn's turn to get their Happily Ever After!!!
And it was perfect!
They fight and argue and throw hurtful words at each other. But that's all some huge foreplay for them!

The man I thought I might have been waiting for my whole life.
All this time he'd been standing right in front of me, wearing a suit and a sexy-ass smirk.

They fell for each other a long time ago, but they don't want to admit it to themselves.
Which is mega-adorable for us to read!
One might think at age 34 an 36 people would be grown-up enough to get their love-life straightend out....but those two. They're both running scared!

But of course their budding romance is not the only trouble in town. The Devlins are still trying to buy every business - and they don't shy away from using illegal and scary and idiotic tactics to do that.
Then there's business. Family. Exes. Friends.
Lots of troubles for our darlings to overcome until they can ride off into their happily ever after sunset.

I love that this is a more mature series. Those couples are all in their thirties .... we don't have any immature 21-year-olds running around. Even though I'm already waiting for little Joey's book once he's all grown up!! ☺

I loved that we got to see all the other people in town again.
I complained about that a bit in the first book. We were introduced to so many people and so many future stories, which made that first book way too long. I still loved it, but I loved this one more. All those people are still in it, but now that we know and love them, we don't care that the book is pretty long - we don't ever want this series to end! ☺

I can't wait to see what the next book will bring us - there's Delilah & mysterious Michael and mega-shy Emery and former? bad-guy Jack Devlin!!!!
GIMMEE!!!!

EVERY LITTLE THING was such an adorable & funny & sexy & exciting lovestory! Run to your nearest amazon for your own Vaughn - this on is MINE!!!

I was so super excited to get my hands on this novel, I literally screamed when I saw that the publisher had granted my request and let me read it before its official publication date. It felt like a second Christmas to me. Bailey and Vaughn captured my heart in The One Real Thing, which I read in German in summer 2016. To be honest, I liked them better than the main characters - Cooper and Jessica. Naturally, I couldn't wait for the story to come out. I think a lot of readers felt the same way, according to what I saw online, everyone fangirling over Bailey and Vaugh and their haters-to-lovers relationship.

I wasn't disappointed in the least.

Samantha Young speaks out about having had a writer's block during the process of writing Every Little Thing, but while reading it, it's definitely not visible. Every action, every phrase, every interaction feels natural, feels needed as if it's the most important part of the book for it to make sense in the end. Even the Devlins. Ugh. The mean family of Hart's Boardwalk. You didn't want to read about them, you didn't want them to have anything to do with Bailey and Vaughn, but it was necessary. They are just a part of this community as the rest, and we all need a little mean drama, don't we?!

With The One Real Thing I complained about being not able to get the vibe of this whole townie feeling, being born and raised in a huge city. Luckily, it didn't even matter to me in Every Little Thing anymore. I felt a connection toward each of the townie people - Emery, Bailey, Cooper, Ira and Iris... All of them. Between summer and now, I kind of missed them, as well. They are all individuals and in the end it's not the town I need to love, it's the people living in that town, and Samantha Young creates some of the best characters ever. I think Bailey and Vaughn might even by some of my ultimate favourites ever.

As always, it takes some time to find out one of the main character's flaws - the past that's haunting one of them. It was Vaughn, this time. Yes, we found out a secret about Bailey toward the end, as well, but it was Vaughn who bared his soul within the last pages. In the beginning, I was scared about how Samantha would figure out what to do with Bailey, since she still had a boyfriend nobody liked. (Seriously, we all knew he was a douche in the first book, too.) But she managed really well, never letting Bailey change who she is. Her actions and reaction fit her so well. It was scary, actually. She was so real, same as Vaughn. I'm swooning again, sorry.

Though we all love the sneaky comments Vaughn and Bailey made, their way of tip-toeing around each other, but never admitting it, I liked that these games didn't last too long. It would have been dragged, would have felt boring after some time. Their passion had to explode and that's exactly what happened and what had the story moving forward. The chemistry between these two was too incredible to put it into words. Read the book and see for yourself. It's awesome!

Having now read the second of the series, I am desperate for another one, preferably about Emery, because she's this super adorable person everybody can relate to in a way or another. There's so much more to her than we read about, I think, and I would love to find out what's going on inside her head, what her past was like and how she turned into the person she is today. I'm curious to find out whether there will be a third book or not. Please let there be a third book!

I fell in love with Hart's Boardwalk while I got lost between the pages of The One Real, the idyllic descriptions of such a warm and friendly place to visit by the sea got me hooked on this series not to mention the the array of so many enigmatic characters that made the story come alive. I was so excited to be able to read a copy of Every Little Thing, Vaughn and Bailey's story, they are two very different people that are just meant to be together only they can't admit it to themselves or see the spark that everyone else around them can see igniting between them. This is a classic enemy to lovers story and I love it particularly for that reason as im a big fan of this kind of storyline. They are both very stubborn and headstrong characters from two different worlds that clash head on often with differences of opinion and with them both taking everything the wrong way no matter what the motivation behind the action was which adds to their distaste for each other, this all makes for some very exciting and turbulent reading when they collide and explode at each other.
This story reveals an in depth insight into the motivations of why Bailey loves her Inn so much and why Vaughn choses to stay in Hartwell away from his life in New York. We get to see more of the other characters from the first book as well such as Emery, Cooper and Jess and the Devlins who are always there causing trouble trying to take over the town by their underhand ways and dodgy dealings. As a community they all play a part in each others lives either looking out for each other or trying to destroy what each other holds dear.
I absolutely loved Vaughn and Bailey's story it was so well written that it swept me away and got me so entranced by the magic of the boardwalk. I have come to expect great things from an author like Samantha Young and I am never disappointed, she has written a happy heartfelt story full of love and romance but it also has so much more with some intrigue and danger added into the mix that at times had my heart pounding out of my chest. This an excellent series and another great book to add to her achievements, Samantha Young is such a talent author that I cant get enough of, I cant wait to read the next book as im now well and truly in love with the people and town of Hart's Boardwalk.

This is the second book in Samantha young's new contemporary romance series and it features Bailey and Vaughn. I have been itching to read their story since they were introduced in the first book, especially Bailey because she seems so fun.

I am really happy to say that I enjoyed this book much more than the first book and there was definetly more angst, which is what I felt was missing from the first book. The amount of angst kept me reading and although there was quite a lot going on with the side characters I kept wanting to go back to Bailey and Vaughn to find out what happened.

I feel that this was a much better edition to the series and I look forward to reading more about the other characters in this series.

Every little thing is the second book in the Harts boardwalk series from Samantha young, author of the fabulous On Dublin Street.
In this book we read about the relationship between Bailey Hartwell owner of a local guest house and Vaughan Tremaine a business man who owns the largest hotel in Hartwell. We first meet these two characters in the first book The One Real Thing where their antagonism with each other jumped off the pages.
Vaughan realises he has strong passionate feelings for Bailey but due to having a severe committed phobia does all he can to ensure a relationship between them won't work.
This story is all about betrayal, fear, passion and above all love. Lots of great things happen, other characters are also being 'set up' ready for the next story...which I can't wait for! But, above all this is a fantastic read, laugh out loud moments, heart pounding intake of breath moments, tears in the eyes moments and to end....well read this book to find out, no one will be disappointed, a book that when you finish you give a big sigh and think how much you loved this story.

Yes!! Bailey and Vaughn get their own book; I have been waiting for this book since I read Jess and Coop’s story first. This book is a sweet but insanely hot romance.

Samantha really made me feel for both characters. I love Bailey’s tenacity, her fierceness, her love and devotion for her town. Those qualities make her a great character and I loved every aspect of her character. She has a tendency to be overprotective but she lets herself be vulnerable with Vaughn. My heart though, it melted because from the first book I could see Vaughn completely in love with her, I am rooting for these two all the way through this book because if there was ever a couple that deserves to be with each other it is these two.

Vaughn is the protector, the alpha male but he would do absolutely anything for Bailey. She’s his kryptonite, she is the one thing that would make him bend over backwards for her. I love him I’ll say this now, from book one I loved him. He’s interesting to read, he’s swoon worthy and he’s a badass alpha. What more could you want in a character? I adore the simplicity of this book. It’s not overly complicated or convoluted. There is drama but it wouldn’t be this book without that drama, the drama complimented the book rather than it just being an suitable plot device. It felt real and that is why I love this book. I am so glad I got a copy of this book to read, it’s worth it for sure.

Every Little Thing,  Samantha Young

Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews

Genre:  romance, erotica

Like thousands of readers I got sucked in to the magic of Samantha's romances by way of the wonderful Joss and Braden, in On Dublin street, and their book is still one of my all time favourites.
I’ve read several from that series and enjoyed them and have been looking forward to this new series. Tjis one is tagged Erotica, but to me its more eotic romance, a great romance but withsome hot and steamy sex rather than just erotica,

I enjoyed the first book, The One real Thing, but wasn’t blown away by it. First books do have  a hard job though, and few achieve the great start that Dublin Street did.
The couple that intrigued me the most in book one were Bailey and Vaughn - the ST between those two jumps of the page! They had sparks jumping between them at every meeting, and the caustic wit the two share had me smiling widely.

Bailey is so bright and bubbly, always out to help others, see that everyone is happy, so running her Inn is perfect for her. Still, the awful Devlin family are trying to find a way to oust her, they want to own as much of the town as they can and have used some very dirty tricks in the past. I love the way Bailey not only stands up to them but uses her sharp wit against them.
She’s been with boyfriend Tom now for ten years, hoping that they will marry and have a family soon. She’s in for a big shock though....and it changes things between her and Vaughn.
They’ve always hate a hate hate relationship, but underneath that everyone feels that its defensive on both sides, and it really seems to have started with Vaughn rebuffing the open friendship Bailey offered him when he arrived, the same as she does to everyone. He wasn’t impressed at her initial opposition to his plans for his new hotel, and things went downhill from there.

Its clear Vaughn is attracted to her, and just as clear he doesn’t want to be. He’s always been Mr No Commitment and it suits him, but he knows that Bailey spells danger to that, and seems to use his acerbic wit as a defence even as he cringes inside at what he’s saying. Bailey responds likewise, they both bring out the worst in each other, but that gives some terrific scenes for the reader.

Its a real romance here, but a long time coming, with many forward and back journeys that had me inwardly screaming at them! Of course that's perfect for me as it brings bucket loads of angst and emotion.

As with all Samantha’s romances its not just a two person story, but brings in many others, some from book one, some who look set to become future books. Story seeds, those hints of what/who might be next. Its always fun to try to spot them, and I think I’ve got a couple here, there are some individuals who really intrigue me. Quiet, shy Emory, what’s her story? Why is she so reserved, so closed off? Dahlia, she seems to have lots of things to reveal, and we’ve only seen her as a very secondary character. Jack Devlin, met him in book one, and he’s here too, and still as much a puzzle as ever. I can’t believe he’s really such a bad guy, and yet the things he’s done, and does here too seem to point in that direction, then he does a couple that point the other way. Even Vaughn’s dad has potential, not as a main character IMO, but maybe a secondary romance thread in a book? He’s certainly got the heart and character for it.

Its a great read, I loved it, was entranced by Bailey and Vaughn, loved the puzzle of their relationship. I did wonder about a few characters in here, Vanessa, will she make a return later, Jack, how can Cooper’s former best friend change so much, do what he does, and of course Vaughn’s awful friend Oliver. What on earth did those two ever have in common?
There’s a couple of surprises towards the end that I didn’t see coming ( and one I did!) and it makes me wonder if they’re future plots in later books?
.
Stars: Five, a great read, perfect blend of sensual romance and solid story.

I adored the first book in this series and book 2 is equally as enthralling, I was hooked from the get-go. In the heart of Hartwell, in particular, Hart's Boardwalk, hotelier Vaughn Tremaine is an enigma, he's not got many friends, he does not get involved in the social niceties of the town, and he does not share his private life with anyone. That being said, he has proven himself to be quite a decent person when his assistance is needed to help the friendly proprietors of Hart's Boardwalk. Bailey Hartwell, one of said proprietors and the princess of Hart's Boardwalk is his complete opposite. She part owns, and runs the Inn down the street, she is content with her boyfriend of 10 years, she has lots of friends, she's outgoing, happy and loyal to those she cares about. Bailey and Vaughn have spent the best part of the last 3 years verbally sparring with each other, the effect they have on each other is combustible. When Bailey catches her reliable, safe boyfriend literally driving himself into a younger woman on her couch she has to rethink her happily ever after. When Vaughn finds out that there are no longer any obstacles between himself and Bailey he has to try and create some distance, a relationship with Vaughn is not in his life plan, in fact no relationship is. Easier said than done, his need to protect her is much too strong. Both have demons in their past, and both have to learn to trust each other, yet their chemistry is electrifying (I'm talking sparks flying). I loved both Vaughn and Bailey, and as frustrated as I was that neither of them could see how good they were together I loved following their journey. With fantastic supporting characters, this book, beautifully written in dual POV is a firm recommendation from me. I was provided with an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
