It did take me a little bit to keep track of who was who and the different story lines but once I did I thought it all came together great!

I've already recommended this to my bookworm family and friends and I'll continue to do so.

Lily. gets left alone by accident and the story from there tears you heart out and makes you realize that this could happen to any one of us.

This was the first book I've read from this author and I thought it was ok but not great. I just had a hard time getting into the story and the characters were a little lacking for me.

Started off a really good read and I really liked the chapters involving Lily and Ruby. However the second half of the book I found dragged quite a bit and I just wanted it to finish . 2.5 stars for me

'Lily Alone' by Vivien Brown, really tugged at my heart strings and caught at my imagination. Little Lily really is all alone when she wakes one day in an empty house with nothing but her teddy bear for company. Why is she alone? What has happened to her mum? And who is the woman who lies in a coma in hospital not far away?
I love the way this story rippled, like a stone in a pond, around the central figure of Lily who is completely unaware of the stories unravelling around her. Her dad, Michael and fiancée Patsy, all ready to challenge his estranged ex-girlfriend over the custody of his daughter; her grandmother, regretting their separation as it means she rarely sees Lily; William, the bachelor, who saves Lily...and hopes also to save himself with a beautiful new woman in his life. So many individual stories, held together by the life and fate one lost little girl. Fortunately, this story does have a happy ending!

This was a very scary book for me to read. Not scary in the Stephen King genre, but I kept on imagining what could have happened to the little girl all alone, and that fear alone kept me glued to the book. Well written and gripping. Recommended.

I was drawn to this novel as soon as I read the synopsis – the idea of a young child being found home alone and there being no sign of where her mother had gone sounded like such an intriguing plot. I’m happy to say that this book lived up to expectations! I’ll be honest and say that I was expecting this to be more of a thriller or crime novel but it’s more of a family drama but that didn’t stop me getting completely engrossed in the book. I was rooting for Lily to be found and to be safe, and also for her mother to be found safe and well. This is a really engrossing novel and one I recommend.

When I read the blurb for Lily Alone I was so excited to read it, it sounded such an amazing read and I was not wrong, straight away I was drawn in my little Lily and her mum Ruby, I sort of expected there to be a twist but there wasn't but that did not change my view on my enjoyment of the book.

Recommended a good read. Some of the characters were a little weak and irritating. Four stars.

this was a very hard book to review it was very 50/50 for me I like the plotline the mystery and the concern you end up having for this little girl but I have to be honest and say for me it was to slow paced for me and by 40% of the book I just couldn't go any further I do believe others may enjoy this book and might have more patients than me but unfortunately this book just wasn't for me.

This is the story of 2-year-old Lily, whose mother Ruby is the victim of a hit and run accident, and ends up in a coma with no identification, meanwhile Lily is left home alone.

As a mother, this story affected me deeply. The idea of a child left alone in a flat and that no one could notice is horrifically scary.

This book really kept me gripped the whole way through and at times wanting to reach into the pages to protect Lily. This is my first book by this author but definitely won't be the last.

I wasn't sure what to expect with this book but thought I would give it a go. It just shows how one little mistake can have such awful consequences and things are not always what they seem on the surface. I really liked the different chapters from each of the characters perspectives and we all love a happy ending!! I would definitely recommend this book.

I've read all the glowing reviews of Lily, Alone and feel that I must be the only reader who found it a bit dragged out. Over long at 400 plus pages. The chapters of Ruby and Lily I loved but everyone else seemed too detailed. I felt like I didn't need to know half of it.

Thank you Netgalley for my copy.

Not really sure what to make of this book, started well but then just seemed to get lost along the way, too many characters who didn't seem very nice at all. Found it hard to care enough about them.

This was a good read, I enjoyed it for the most part. The story is voiced by a mixed bag of likeable characters
but some pointless, ie the nurse and vicar. .It is a well written story, although I was also a bit disappointed by how the story ended, it was a bit too unrealistic and happily ever after, but that's just my personal opinion.

3 year old Lily awakes to find herself home alone..where is her mummy? Her mother Ruby has been hit by a car and lies in intensive care. this is the story of the people around Lily and Ruby and how people come together. a good story but at times hard to read about poor Lily trying to do things on her own. thank you to Netgalley and Harper Collins UK for a copy of this book to read and review
