I don't normally read chick lit but this book was great fun and it kept me reading well into the night. The characters were fantastic and the plot was very good.
Highly recommend

Such a light-hearted rom-com that had me giggling from time to time. The story and characters were full of life, loved them all.

A fun rom com with sweet characters and a wonderful setting. Human engaging characters with a few sad bits and a lot of laugh out loud moments.

Light hearted, fun, a delightful sequel to The Stylist.
All the wonderful characters that I had grown to love in the first book were back, and then there was a whole new cast of characters too to learn.
Things are never quiet in Amber Green's world, and after she moves to Manhattan with boyfriend Rob, a few chance photos on instagram send her star soaring.
Add in a new client who has almost no need for a stylist, a fashion designer in need of a relaunch, plus celebrities, drunken behaviour and a fab contract, and you get a really enjoyable book.
Lots of antics making sure that Amber Green's life is anything but boring. I'm not completely sure if this works as a standalone, as from the first few pages I suddenly remembered enough about the first book to mean, I was fully engrossed in this one, a lot quicker than normal.
Absolutely love Rosie Nixon's writing style and I'm very curious as to what she will be releasing next, and if by some small hope its another Amber Green book then I will be delighted.
Thank you to Netgalley and HQ for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

Amber Green takes Manhattan is a funny chiclit/ contemporary romance read with never a dull moment.
I haven't read the stylist but as this is book two in the series you can definately read this as a standalone, I didn't feel like I'd missed anything major to interfere with this storyline.
Rob is Ambers boyfriend and has been offered the chance of a lifetime, move to America for 3 months and direct a new show and Amber gas the opportunity to go to. Whilst there Amber realises she's not so big in the world of fashion as she is back home and takes advice to make her social media image huge which to the hilarity of us readers she manages to do by accident almost overnight!
Amber and Rob live together for the first time in a very small apartment and you follow their ups and downs as they adjust to living together and having noisy neighbours. Ambers Instagram obsession takes over her life completely and you'll have to read if that's more important than real life people.
This was a funny read and had some great characters in it making this enjoyable and fairly fast paced as there was something going on virtually on every page.
I would like to thank netgalley and HQ Harper Collins ltd for this ARC I received in exchange for an honest review.

This was a fun book. A lot of the time I was in fits of laughter, not really into the fashion scene. Some really good characters and the whole story was full of life. Great read.

I read Amber Green (sorry, Amber) in two sittings. It's a delightful, fun, 'feel good' book which made me smile. Amber's antics had me laughing out loud and Im excited to continue following Amber and Rod's adventures. I'm sure there will be many more.

I didn't realise that this novel was a sequel when I requested it from Netgalley and having never read the first book in this series, I wasn't sure if AMBER GREEN TAKES MANHATTAN would work as a standalone but work it most certainly does.
Five months into her relationship with Rob and Amber is deliriously happy. She enjoys her job as a window specialist in Selfridges and everything seems to be going in the right direction. But when Rob gets a job opportunity in New York filming lingerie models, Amber fears that this will ruin everything for them, until Rob asks her to go with him. With a sabbatical from her job, Amber and Rob make their way to the Big Apple, where Amber still dreams of being a stylist with the wow factor, and with a knack for making friends easily, it seems like her dreams are about to come true. Being in New York even makes her closer to her loved-up best friend - could life be any more perfect? But as Amber throws herself into the fashion world and all it entails, is she sacrificing her relationship? And is everything as perfect as it seems for those she loves?
With hilarious escapades, witty dialogue, and characters that you will fall in love with, AMBER GREEN TAKES MANHATTAN by Rosie Nixon is everything you need in a contemporary romance and more. The fashion world comes alive in front of your eyes and you really will find yourself laughing out loud many times throughout this story. I had planned to read this book for an hour before bed but ended up devouring it in one sitting as I became engrossed in Amber's world. Addictive, enjoyable, and endearing, AMBER GREEN TAKES MANHATTAN by Rosie Nixon is a must-read for 2017, and I cannot wait for more from this author.

A fast-paced no-brainer holiday read. Moving in super trendy circles is just too easy for our accidental heroine as she takes her fashion magic to New York and just happens to fall into all the right situations at the right time to strike it lucky. Her best friend causes chaos and she nearly loses everything because of this, but luck and quick thinking saves the day.

fab chick lit at its best .With an insight into the world of fashion, this book kept my interest from cover to cover. A few late nights when i couldn't put it down, roll on Amber Green book 3.!!

Rating 4.5/5
Another great book starring Amber Green who seems to face one calamity after another yet these always seem to accidentally promote her role as stylist to the stars. It has plenty of laugh out loud moments - in my case, the sort that have me reading excerpts to my husband to show just why I’m laughing (and he usually joins in chuckling along, the moments are so hilarious!)
Amber’s boyfriend, Rob, has been offered a job in New York that will necessitate him leaving London to work there for three months filming lingerie models. He invites Amber to join him and their next adventurous escape begins! Get ready to read about their new home (tiny), the beefcake firemen working across the road who come to their rescue (hot), the models and stars, children and a disgraced designer ready to resume his career. It is a fun read, packed with glamour, high fashion and ‘stars’. It is a brilliant feel good read, with great characters and a plot filled with unanticipated twists and turns to keep you guessing and laughing!
I requested and was lucky enough to be gifted a copy of this novel via NetGalley; this is my honest opinion after choosing to read it. I thoroughly enjoyed escaping into this novel and have no hesitation in highly recommending both this and the previous novel about Amber Green - 'The Stylist'.

A novel for those who love, and know their high end fashion. There are allusions to names and brands that you really need to read your Style pages regularly for his novel to make sense. And Selfridges is mentioned too!
Amber follows her boyfriend to New York when his job takes him there and sets herself up as a stylist to the stars and others. This novel is the second in a series but you don’t need to have the read the first, as for me at any rate, it stood alone.
Great fun to read and good writing of its type.

This is a great follow up to The Stylist and Amber Green's rise to celebrity stylist. It's fun, fresh and set in Manhattan! What's not to love! Perfect read for a summer holiday!

I loved The Stylist so was delighted when there was a follow up of more about Amber. Amber Green Takes Manhattan is good fun to read .I loved dipping into the fashion world again and all it's madness. Amber is delightful and crazy and it is so enjoyable to read about what she gets up to .Glad there was a happy ending .

An enjoyable easy read, that follows the adventures of the haphazard yet loveable Amber Green, who lands on her feet with a lot of luck!
This is the second book about Amber, which doesn't need to be read after The Stylist but is much better if you have (gives you the back story)....
An enjoyable summer read - 3.5*

This was a another fun story in the Amber Green series. I loved the first one, 'The Stylist', and this one just continued on the mad adventure that is Amber's life!
This time Amber and Rob, her boyfriend, are in New York for Rob's new job working on a documentary for a big lingerie brand, Angel Wear. As Amber and Rob have only been together a fairly short while she decides to go to New York with him as they didn't want time apart when their relationship was still so new. Amber didn't have a job initially, as she had taken a sabbatical from her job, but soon managed to fall in with certain well known celebrities, as she always seems to do, and starts off styling a has-been/newly resurrected wild child star and things just go from there.
Unfortunately Amber's social media sites start taking over her life and Rob starts getting very put out about it, understandably as she is checking her 'followers' every 10 seconds, which causes a lot of hassle in their relationship. Amber's best friend (who has just left her big actor boyfriend) arrives to crash on their sofa and causes more trouble. She was a bit of a nuisance and very thoughtless at times to be honest, and I would have thrown her out of the apartment a lot sooner, but they sort their differences out eventually and Vicky did come up trumps in the end, so all is forgiven!
Of course Amber does well in the end, fabulous catwalk show at the end - although not without a few hiccups along the way to keep things interesting! A really enjoyable, fun book, full of fashion and celebrity lifestyles.

Amber Green takes Manhattan was a great book. We meet Amber and her boyfriend Rob. Rob has an opportunity with work to go to New York for 3 months so Amber decides to go with him. Once there Amber must try to get herself known in the fashion industry. What better why than linking up with an old fashion icon who is looking to make a comeback. A fab book that kept me hooked. Perfect for a lazy day reading by the pool.

I DNF'd this book...I thought it was so boring unfortunately. The first quarter (what I read) was all about the Glitz and the Glam of working in fashion. The only story there really was, was Amber and her boyfriend moving to New York, for his job. There has to be more story for me to enjoy it...1 Star, and that's being generous...

A great followup to the first book in this series and this time she's in Manhattan. So much fun and adventure.
A fab read that has so many funny moments. Perfect for when you're looking for a bit of escapism.
Thanks to Netgalley and HQ for an arc copy in exchange for an honest review.

A fabulous follow up to The Stylist. It was great to follow Amber on her journey taking on Manhattan and seeing what she got up to and how successful she can become. We also see her take her relationship with her boyfriend to the next level.
This book is fun and so easy to read. I read this so quick it was so enjoyable.
