Pure Perfection. This book. This series. These characters. The Love. The Friendship. Everything is perfection. I am literally about to start crying because these books have deeply touched my heart. I don't know how Harper Sloan does it, but her words are magical. She makes her readers FEEL EVERYTHING. In fact, they are so good that readers are going to feel like they are within the story themselves. How many authors can do this to their readers? Not many. But Harper Sloan does.

If you have read the first book in the series (Lost Rider; http://amzn.to/2u1SkEv) then you will have met Quinn in it. She is Maverick's sister and best friend to Leighton. If not, that's okay too because this book CAN standalone (although I strongly suggest reading Lost Rider first because the characters are interconnected and you'll have a better understanding of the entire story line).

Anyway, Quinn is sassy. She is bad-ass, she knows it, and she is not afraid to let her mouth shoot off anything that comes to mind. She is also pure country, a hellion, and one of the most sweetest characters I have every come across. She has a good heart and loves deep. Unfortunately, 9 years ago she became heartbroken when the one man she loved upped and left without a word. And since then, she hasn't fallen in love. So just imagine how she feels when THE man that broke her heart suddenly comes back into town... And has every intention of winning her heart back...

Tate Montgomery is the man who left a world of pain in Quinns wake. He left without a word and hasn't returned until now. But he has a reason for leaving, one that he hopes will make Quinn understand. So with everything he has in him, he tries to win him back. It isn't going to be easy by any means though. Quinn is a spitfire and truly hurt. But one look in his eyes and her body turns to jelly.

How they get to their HEA is up to readers to find out! But I will say that Tate is a charmer. He's a kind and loving characters and swept me off my feet. He's also the new gyno in town, which makes the story a lot more fun!

With that, I very HIGHLY recommend this book. It's a must read and another true favorite of mine for the year. I can't wait to read Clay's story (I need it now)!!!! You can preorder your copy today on amazon as it is releasing soon!!! >> http://amzn.to/2tBnHop

This is fun and flirty, low angst second chance book. I am absolutely in love with this Davis clan. They’ve been through so much but in the end nothing is more important than family. And who wouldn’t want Mav and Clay as big brothers. They’re protective, caring and supportive.

Harper hit the mark when she wrote these sexy cowboys. Tatum Montgomery is something else. My heart broke for what he had to give up protecting his heart. But then fate stepped in and gave him that second chance he needed. That man had me swooning.

Then there’s spunky Quinn Davis. That girl is exactly what her given nickname is, badass-hell raiser. She’s coming into her own. Facing her past, letting go and moving on. And who better to help her then Tate.

Together these two are finding their way back to each other.

The story was fluffy with little drama. It was a sweet and sexy romance. I loved these characters. They were real. They made you laugh and just put a damn smile on your face.

I look forward to the brooding Clay. I can’t wait to see what woman knocks him on his ass.

Saddle up for Harper Sloan's new Coming Home series, because we are going to be in for a bumpy ride.

This is the second book in the Coming Home series, and is the David girl Quinn's story.
I adore Quinn. I love that she isn't all girly girly, she is a mechanic and car restorer, more comfy under a car than meeting people in a bar.
Tate Montgomery is the one that got away - well, the one that went away and never came back - and the one Quinn holds all other men up to.

I liked that this was pretty much angst and drama free. Yeah, there were things from the past that needed to be sorted out, but nothing OTT or too ridiculous.

One thing that did irritate me - Quinn and her "kiss my boots". She sounded like a five year old stomping her feet and chucking a hissy fit, and she said it all the time - but this might just be me.

I loved getting back to Pine Oak and the characters of the town. I loved seeing where Mav and Leighton were up to, and now need to know that Clay finally meets his match and gets his HEA.

I loved this story by Harper Sloan. It is the second book in the series, but can easily stand on its own. You meet characters from the first book in the series. However, enough background information is given for you to follow and understand the story.
Quinn Davis runs her family auto shop. She has worked hard to make the shop the go-to place for body repairs and custom work. Quinn loves working with cars and bringing old cars back to life. She lives on the family ranch with her older brother and her other brother is engaged to her best friend. Things are okay in their little town. Quinn has yet to find a man to share her life with. Her heart hasn’t recovered from the brutal heartbreak she suffered as a teenager. And then the phone rings with a request for her work on a truck from a man she hasn’t spoken to in nine years.
Tate Montgomery left Pine Oak, Texas nine years ago and hasn’t been back. He has his reasons and knows that leaving was the best thing he could have done, but now he is coming home. Even though Tate only spent summers in Pine Oak with his grandparents, he always thought of it as more of a home than where he lived with his parents. Tate loves the slower pace and the realness of the people who live in this town. Calling Quinn’s shop and getting her to fix up his grandfather’s truck is the only way Tate knows to guarantee that she will interact with him when he returns home.
Ms. Sloan’s characters are flawed. She makes no attempt to hide that. She allows their flaws to shine through and for them to work on mending fences and coping with those flaws together. Both Tate and Quinn have changed a lot since high school. Now that they are back in the same town, they have to figure out if they can have a relationship as adults. Ms. Sloan allows her characters to explore the relationship. Things are not magically healed as soon as Tate returns.
One of the unique things that Ms. Sloan does is tell the story from both Tate and Quinn’s perspectives. The chapters alternate between each of their points of view which helps the reader to see and feel what the characters are feeling. This writing style may sound confusing, but each chapter is clearly labeled and the voices of the characters are different.
We can also see Ms. Sloan’s belief in true love and meant to be from the way the characters talk about love. I really liked the first story in this series and loved this one. I can’t wait to see what happens in the third story.

"Jesus Jones Tate and Quinn!!! lol

Yaaasssss...Kiss My Boots is Tate and Quinn's book!!! OMG I just loved it. If you read Lost Rider, book one, you will remember Quinn. She was Leigh's sassy as hell and such a smart ass BFF and Maverick's little sister. I was really excited that Quinn would get her own book!!! Woohoo It didn't disappoint.. Sooo good!!! Quinn is just as funny as shit as she was in book one and really since its all about her now...it's such a knee slapper...lmao

Anyway, a boy Quinn use to lust over when she was younger, happens to come back to town 9 years later. Of course he is all grown up, has a job as a Gynecologist and he came back to Texas to take over his fathers OBGYN practice after his dad passed away. I sit here and giggle at some of the shenanigans that happen at that practice. Bahahahaha You will just love it!!
Well Quinn is pretty pissed off at first when Tate comes back around. He broke her heart all those years ago when he just up and left. So Tate now has to show her he is back and he is ready to settle down, maybe pick up where they left off all those years ago. But Tate sure has a lot to prove cuz you know when a woman is scorned, it's hard to break through those thick..thick walls!

I gave this book 5 iScream Books Stars. Make sure you pick it up and find out how Tate wins Quinn back!! : )

I love the title - Kiss My Boots and the cover is just 'Jesus Jones' gorgeous! This second chance romance has some unique edge to story that I have not seen before which I loved! I enjoyed how Quinn (Female lead) is a Mechanic and Tate (Male Lead) a Doctor - you have to read the book to find out exactly what kind of medical practice is his specialty... This is the second book in the series based in rural town Pine Oak, but my first book to read by the author. I find it fine reading this book first and being able to understand the characters from Book 1.

This book had me laughing out loud several times throughout the story! I loved reading about the small town and that Quinn is a serious badass working in a male dominated field! At times in the story though, I felt disconnected and the country slang a bit much as I did grown up in the rural midwest. A couple of the plot twits were a tad out of reach. But all in all if you are looking for a cowboy, country second chance romance Don't let Quinn Tell you to Kiss My Boots!

My 4.5 star review is posted on Goodreads. It will be posted on blog and social media upon release and links will be updated below at that time.

4.5 stars
This is the second of this series focusing on Pine Oak, Texas with the theme of coming home. This time Tate Montgomery is coming back to take over the farm and medical practice of his grandfather. He used to spend his summers there, and fell in love with Quinn Davis. Their love blossomed from friendship to more and they thought they would have forever. But the last time he left at the end of summer, he did not return.

Nine years have now passed. Quinn is a feisty, stubborn, tomboy mechanic running her own family's business. She is also guarded, lonely, and has abandonment issues. Her family history left its own set of scars on her and Tate left her broken-hearted. So she does not do relationships. She is surrounded now by her two older and protective brothers, Maverick and Clay. When she catches wind that Tate is returning, she is overwhelmed, anxious, and angry. She is mad at him for disappearing and leaving her, and angry at herself for still having a reaction to him and caring.

Tate had his reasons for not coming back and losing touch, but he never forgot Quinn. He lived a different life in the city and did what he needed to do, but did not really get involved. He has secrets and confessions that he wants to share. But first he is going to have to get the hell-raiser Quinn to settle down and give him a chance to explain and a chance to win back her trust and heart. And Quinn has to decide if she is going to cowgirl up, forgive him, and give him a second chance.

Much Like Maverick and Leighton from Lost Rider, they are two people who just fit together and have not really felt whole since being apart. But there is a lot of hurt and fear still lurking. She needs Tate to be willing to fight for her this time. They will have to get to know each other all over again and make new memories to accompany the old ones. They are two people who have just been living in survival mode and need to learn to truly feel and live again. But they also have to learn to trust and forgive, and fight for what they want and need.

This is a story of hope, forgiveness, healing, and true love that was challenged by time, distance, and opposition. It is funny, sweet, passionate, and emotional, but not too angsty. Both Quinn and Tate are likable and well developed. It is told in mostly Quinn's point of view, with some in Tate's and there are also flashbacks. It flowed easy and it was fun returning to this town. I loved Tate's devotion and protectiveness, and Quinn is as strong as she is sassy. But she does have some demons to overcome. The side characters of Maverick, Leighton, and Clay are all back as well as some of the other townies. I love the relationship between Quinn and her brothers and her best friend, Leighton. They all have been through so much but are there for each other. Their family truly does make their home. I am looking forward to seeing Clay find his own love in Cowboy Up.

I was gifted a copy in exchange for an honest review.

Absolutely love Grease and Starch!

I'm really liking this series, but what's not to like. Cowboys throwing darlings around does a lot to the female organs... just saying.

Quinn is a wonderful character. She's funny, smart and strong. She's loved the same boy since she was eleven. He was her first crush, first kiss her first everything. They spent every summer together but when he left that last summer never to return her heart broke.

When Tate left Quinn that last summer he had every intention of returning. But he didn't. He never forgot her or allowed anyone else in his heart. Nine years have passed and finally he is going back for her and what belongs to him. Will she forgive him and let him back in?

These characters are wonderful! I especially love Quinn, she definitely has a way with words and you can't help but fall in love with them both. Their story is a second chance and it's absolutely beautiful. As always Harper has a way of telling you a story that will have you begging for more. And I am.... begging for more!

The emotional intensity in KISS MY BOOTS is deeply affecting because of the genuineness conveyed in every scene. I felt anxious during serious situations when outcomes were uncertain, while laughter was uncontrollable because of countless conversations filled with quick-witted banter. Harper Sloan managed to keep me fully engrossed while reading the second book in the Coming Home series, as her characters are described so well that they actually feel like they are truly real.

Since her father owned an auto shop that specialized in custom work, Quinn Davis became fascinated with cars at an early age. She has taken over the business and really enjoys her days at the garage, and though she has plenty of interaction with men, she has not dated in a long time. The reason for her disinterest is because of the way her relationship with Tate Montgomery ended. While he only came to stay with his grandparents during the summer months, Quinn thought what was between them could survive when he went away one more time. Sadly, it did not.

When she first hears the man who broke her heart is coming back to Pine Oak, Texas to live, she cannot keep the long-buried memories from being dredged up again. There was a huge reason Tate never returned to the one place where he felt at home, and he hopes Quinn will eventually forgive him. But getting the feisty woman to change her mind about him will take some clever scheming.

With plenty of honest emotions and fiery passionate encounters, KISS MY BOOTS captivates during every believable set of circumstances. From the very start, feelings are expressed with candid openness, and the truth behind any sentiment was easily sensed because of the author’s skillful writing. Harper Sloan has certainly written a winning novel, as I came to strongly care about the welfare of the main characters. Tate proved over and over again that he is someone worthy of being loved, and why he never came back to Pine Oak is cleverly conceived in order to give him another opportunity with Quinn. While she was terribly hurt when he left her never to return and is still suffering, I was very glad she gave him the chance to explain at some point and not drag out their differences for the whole story as some books seem to do. Though trust does need to be built as Tate and Quinn come to know one another again, their desire is even more potent than before. Their love scenes are definitely steamy, and their lusty craving adds plenty of enthusiastic creativity.

There are so many wonderful characters in the Coming Home series, from Tate and Quinn to friends and relatives. I experienced the many ups and downs in their lives, and I also came to know these individuals on a very personal level as new details became known. There were a huge number of moments where amusement was present, as comments would come across as hilarious while actions could be comical, too. I will definitely be recalling some of the more humorous incidents, because they are just too original to forget. It was great catching up with Maverick and Leigh from the first book, and I cannot wait until Clay’s book is released.

I voluntarily reviewed the book from the publisher via NetGalley, and all comments are my honest opinion

5 'Grease and Starch' stars

Kiss My Boots was everything I expected it to be and so much more. This second chance romance was done right.

Quinn met the love of her life when she was eleven years old in Tate. She and Tate shared their first kiss when they were fifteen and gave each other everything they had when they were eighteen. and then Tate the summer ended and Tate went off to med school completely disappearing without a phone call or an explanation, abandoning and shattering Quinn. Now 9 years later Tate is back in hopes of winning back the only woman he has ever loved but was forced to give up.

There are several aspects to this novel that I loved.

Quinn is not only a tomboy but also a bad ass...she is also a well-respected mechanic who loves and takes her job very serious. It's not ever day there is a novel with a female protagonist who isn't afraid to get her hands a little greasy.

The angst factor was there but it was low with this novel. After reading Lost Rider and seeing the high angst factor (which I loved) I was scared Kiss My Boots was going to be the same. In Lost Rider, Quinn was perceived to be tough as nails and a Hell Raiser, I was hoping to get that same side of her in Kiss My Boots and I'm happy to announce...THE HELL RAISER HAS RETURNED IN FULL FORCE!!

A lot of the times Second Chance romances are told to quick for my liking. Example: Guy disappears for years than reappears, girl doesn't put up much of a fight to let him back in.Not only did Quinn have to go to battles with her own heart but Tate had to step up and confront Quinn's older Brothers (Maverick & Clay). Tate actually had to put the time and effort in to make Quinn see him for the man he is now. Even though....Tate's reasoning behind his disappearing act was totally justified.

I loved how protective Clay and Maverick are of their sister. I loved the familial feel to this small town romance. and lets not forget the sisterhood between Quinn and Leigh is stronger than ever!

I freaking adored this novel as you can tell from above. I honestly can say that Quinn's story is my favorite....so far....I'm still waiting on Clay's story and I have a feeling his is going to be a doozy on my heart. I have mad love for Clay and am dying to see his tough ass find a woman and settle down.

I highly recommend Kiss My Boots!

This is the second book in this new series by Harper Sloan and it proved to be just as great as the first book! The theme is similar as book 1---young love torn apart and then given a second chance. However, the story is fresh and Quinn and Tate have some bigger unresolved issues than Mav and Leighton had.

I love that this author writes such strong heroines. Quinn is a tomboy as heart but can be girly when she wants. She needs her BFF time but like to let it all hang out and party sometimes as well. She runs that family automotive business. Quin puts up a very good front though, for everyone. She is sassy and strong willed and lends a fair bit of humor to the story whatever scene she is involved in. But in her heart there is some squishiness and some softer moments that very few people get to see. Her brothers are two of those people. And the love of her young life, Tate, would be the third.

Tate broke her heart and after years away, has come back to claim what he sees is his. Quinn is going to give him a run for the money! Enjoyable read from cover to cover. It was great to see Mav and Leighton again and some sneaky looks at what big brother Clay may have coming his way. Hopefully an HEA!

This was the second book in this series. If you haven't read the first one please don't go on reading this review.
This series is such a beautiful one. It's all about Sibling Love, Family doesn't only have to be by blood, Sacrifice and Forgiveness.

We met Quinn in the previous book because she is Maverick's baby sister. We already know the heart Breaking, Horrible past these siblings have been through. But seeing it from each one's own perspective and witnessing their battles in different ways is utterly soul crushing. They each have lost so much by what their parents did to them then loosing their partners.

But as we know that these are second chance books so we know that just like their horrid pasts come back to haunt them and be dealt with so they can move on to start living, so does the love interest.
They never make them work more than they have to and once they know the reasoning and understand nothing stands in their way. Tate Montgomery is the man that helps Quinn heal and love again. He is such an amazingly beautifully crafted Hero. I was so enamoured with this man and his will to fight for Quinn.

They are so made for each other. They are the typical example of What God puts together No Man can Tear apart. Their love is pure, giving and compassionate. Their love is protection and strength. It will reach you right to the Depths of your Being.

This book will crush you. But I promise quick or slowly, however you wanna see it I promise you will be mended with a huge arse smile on your face.... And if that doesn't show how beautiful this story is then maybe Me Blushing like a nun from all the Hot, Flaming Hot sex scenes will tell you how powerful their chemistry is. It is Off The Charts.

As always I love getting to see the Brothers. I also have to say this one was more touching and real than Mav's book. This is definitely my favourite from the two.

I hope you love it as much as I did.
Enjoy!!!!

Jesus Jones this was awesome.

I have to say I was dying to read this book after the first which was so good as well. I really wanted Quinn's books I knew she was very sassy and so funny so I was super happy she was next. Even though I dying for Clay's book to. This author is one of my favourites and alway knows how to make u want more.

So this book is Quinn and Tate. Like I said Quinn is super sassy and so funny she as really kept her brothers on there toes she doesn't let them away with a thing. But her brothers mean the world to her after her mum leaving them when she was very young she as had to deal with a lot and she is still dealing. Tate didn't make things better she knew Tate years ago when he came to Pine Oaks to visit his grandparents in the summer so they got super close over the years. Things were goin great it was the best summer ever until Tate had to go. He made promises to her but never kept them and she didn't hear from him again until now.

Tate is a great guy and very sexy doctor. Things have been goin ok for Tate but could be so much better. He as a good job but there was one thing that was missing in his life and after 9 years away it was time to get it back. He has stayed away long enough he can't do it anymore.

My heart went out to these 2 in this book. There story is so good I enjoyed it so much. I m a sucker for a second chance romance. From page one I new I was goin to luv it. There was so many funny parts with nicknames for each other to names for cars and Quinn standing up to her brothers it was so funny and there was actually loads more. But there were so sad moments the things Quinn and Tate had to deal with was hard they just had to deal as best they could with what had happened.

I would highly recommend this book. The first was good but I think book was even better and I know Clay's book is just goin to be as good I can't wait for that. I luvd everything about this book there is a great story that's flows well throughout. You have sexy cowboys and doctors also strong women how can put these alpha cowboys and doctor in there place. Which they do need it at times. Overall I just really enjoyed this and I m looking forward to more from this series and author.

Kiss My Boots was an easy, but angsty second chance romance in Harper Sloan’s Coming Home Series. This is the second book in the series, but can be read as a standalone.

This book was enjoyable, but it didn’t WOW me. As I was reading this book I kept waiting for some drama to excite the storyline a little more. It never really came. Yes she had some drama in there but I guess it wasn’t what I was expecting. There were times I felt the storyline dragged a little slowing down the pace of the story. With that said I would still recommend this book to anyone who is a fan of the second chance romance.

This story follows the love between Quinn and Tate. Quinn is the younger sister of Maverick and Clay. She runs the Auto Body shop the family owns and has been in love with Tate ever since they were young and he would come to town to visit his grandparents. They had a sweet love brewing over the summers he would visit, until one summer he just left without a word. Cutting all contact with Quinn. She was heartbroken but also didn’t know how to move on. Now 9 years later Tate is resurfacing and moving back to Oak Pine to take over his grandpa’s medical practice. Oh and he is determined to get Quinn back!!! Will Quinn be able to forgive him?? Can Tate make Quinn fall in love with him again?? What happens when the Past doesn’t stay in the past?? Read their story to find out the answers.

Kiss My Boots is a standalone novel told from Dual POV. It is part of an interconnected series. The storylines are all completed and there are NO Cliffhangers. We do see past characters from the first book in this story, but you don’t have to read Lost Rider first to enjoy this story. I enjoyed catching up with Leighton and Maverick. I also liked seeing more of Clay, I look forward to his book next.

This book is definitely for the reader who likes a second chance romance. Also if you are a fan of Harper Sloan’s you don’t want to miss this book.

Quinn Davis is one hell-raising, strong as hell, take no crap from nobody kind of girl who is lost and looking for that one piece to make her whole again. Her whole life she's felt like people have abandoned her for one reason or another.

Then her world is tuned upside down by one phone call from a certain man she never expected to hear from again.

Tate Montgomery is the sexy as hell, cowboy doctor who just wants to get back to the Texas town where he felt like he belonged and called home. He's also hoping that his Quinn is still there and willing to give them a try again. You see he has always loved her even though he left and has a good excuse why. Questions are asked and answers are given but she is not making it easy for him to win her heart and love back.

As you read, all you can do is cheer them on and hope like hell they can get past all the issues.

I can't wait for the last book in this series to see what Harper has planned for the next Davis sibling.

I was blown away with this book. It is one of my all time top books. I love when the leading female has a job that is mainly for males.
Quinn might just be my new hero. Why? She stands up for herself to conquer her remaining ghosts holding her back. Also because she is a car mechanic. It's not an occupation you usually associate with women. Having grown up around my dad's shop I can totally relate to her love of fixing cars. She does fantastic work with any vehicle she gets her hands on. Quinn is a hell-raiser of a feisty, lovable, emotional, loyal woman. The love and support from those around her help strengthen her when she faces her ghosts.
Tate is a lady doctor that all the women are after. Sadly for them his heart only belongs to one person. After some potholes show up in his life path he has to figure out how to navigate the road. His loyalty to those he loves showed me how strong his heart really is.

Quinn & Tate's story gave my so much angst while reading.. I felt like the ball would drop for them. These two held strong and true through the entire story. I really love the Coming Home series and cannot wait for the next book. ~ Elizabeth ~ White Hot Reads

Tate is a protector and a fighter; and he has loved and will love Quinn to the end of the earth and back. This man kept himself away from her and her family to protect them all; when you see the reactions of this family to this you will fall more in love with them.

I loved this book it was funny and sweet.

Quinn and Tate have history, they spent many summers together growing up and at some point, fell in love, but then one summer Tate never comes back and doesn’t answer Quinn’s calls or texts.

Fast forward nearly 10 years later and Quinn is running her Dad’s auto shop, she doesn’t date much and relies on her two brothers and her best friend for support.

Tate has spent these long years away from Tate wishing there was something he could do to get her back but his Father had other ideas.

When Tate’s Grandfather passes away, Tate is seemingly “set free” and decides to move to Pine Oak and work at getting the only girl he ever loved back.

These two have some seriously hot chemistry and Quinn is a firecracker, there story is set to be an interesting one and something you shouldn’t miss out on.

Book 2 in the Coming Home Series and I would have to say this looks like it's shaping up to another winning series from Harper Sloan. In book one we got glimpses of Quinn Davis and I'm so glad this sassy tomboy got her own book, growing up with two overprotective brothers and no mother wasn't easy but she always thought Tate Montgomery would be there for her, that was till he disappeared and didn't return her calls or letters. Things are not always what they seem and when Tate comes back to town to start his own doctors practice will Quinn listen to what he has to say or will she tell him "Kiss my Boots" !
This is a true love story, it's about family values, loyalty and friendship, its hot and it has just the right amount of humour that will have you giggling to yourself. Great job Harper Sloan, looking forward to book three in this great series.
