This is another extremely fun read. You can easily picture the characters and setting and I loved this series.

Royally Romanov by Teri Wilson

I really enjoyed this! I've never seen an Anastasia retelling anywhere for adults, so I was super excited to give it a try. I loved the setting in France, the Louvre, etc. It took me right back to Paris. I loved all the history, the mystery. Everything was great! I loved Finley and Maxim. I don't usually like amnesia stories, but this one had me flipping the pages so quickly. I couldn't get enough. My only disappointment was the ending, which... well, I don't want to spoil anything so I don't even know how to explain it. Let's just say, I don't like it when characters give up a dream for love. You should be able to have both, especially in a fictional romance novel. But other than that, this was a really fun read!

Royally Romanov had protentional. But the pacing was uneven. We spend so much of the book trying to decide "is he or isn't he a fraud?" and then in the matter of a few pages at the end we find out he is, in fact, real but they're going to ignore that (and apparently everyone who knew about him will just magically forget as well??) and ride off into the sunset and that's it. We're just going to ignore that in this (fictional) world he's a long lost Romanov? No.

And the romance was uneven and disappointing as well. I didn't feel like they ever had real time together to build any sort of a romance and yet suddenly after one fuck they're in love and the book is over? No.

Was this book bad? Not entirely. Was it frustrating? Yes.

This was an incredibly modern day version of Anastasia set in Paris! I really enjoyed that I didn't have to read book one to understand what was happening here as it is a perfect stand alone novel. The author's writing is so beautiful and I look forward to reading more of her work.

Royally Romanov was an incredibly sweet tale with a modern take on the classic Anastasia. Those who dream of or visited Paris would enjoy this immensely. This title can stand on its own especially for this generations readers but certain plot points that slightly mirrors the Disney animated film some grew up with would have them feel a bit nostalgic. I love the modern spin on the classic Anastasia.

I LOVED this book! It mixed history, drama, romance, and mystery. Maxim was interesting and just drew me in. Finley was a smart and relatable girl. The Romanov mystery/drama was just in there enough with the romance to make it great! 5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Give me a retelling of a classic, throw in some mystery and some romance, and you have a book that I will gladly read. The story follows Finley, a museum curator specializing in Romanov history, and a man with amnesia, Maxim, who believes he is a descendant of Anastasia and the royal family. Wanting to know if Max is telling the truth is what kept me glued to the story. There are plenty of plot twists and I liked how Wilson was able to weave a believable storyline into the original framework. Fans of Paris, reimaginings with a twist, and cozy-style mysteries will love this one!

Ever since their execution, the Romanov family has been a world obsession. I’ve seen tv shows and movies about the last surviving Romanov. This was, however, the first time I found a book with it as it’s plot point. I found it cute, if a little predictable. I did enjoy it and recommend it.

This was an adorable story. I love how sweet and pure her stories are. I loved the take-off on Anastasia. It followed the story without being TOO close to the story. I really like this series and want to read more!

Though a very nice romance, it was not really my thing. I decided not to review this on my blog.

I thoroughly enjoyed the mystery and the romance of this book. I love how Finley and Maxim attempt to fight their attraction to each other, but are drawn together by a deep connection.

As I mentioned at the start it was the Romanov plot line that drew me to this book and I love how the author allowed that to play out.

My only grievance with this book is that it got over too fast for me!

Fun retelling of Anastasia! It was a bit confusing at times, and not a well-developed romance. Still, the story was intriguing. I recommend this for fans of the movie and those interested in the Romanovs.

The Royals series by Teri Wilson just keeps getting better and better! I really enjoyed the first one set in Rome and was excited that Royally Romanov is set in Paris.

The series primarily focuses on romance, but I loved the bit of mystery and intrigue that Maxim and Finley encounter. The story of the Romanov family was seamlessly woven into the plot and made for a great book.

More recently I have seen some one-dimensional characters in romance books, but Finley and Maxim were both well fleshed out characters. It was fun to learn about museum art curators and the Romanov family through Finley's work.

Royally Romanov is a modern day re-imagining of Anastasia. Pick me! Pick me! There's nothing I love more than a modern day fairy tale and this fits the bill. Maxim Laurent wakes up from a brutal attack without any memory of who he is and an image of a a beautiful woman in his mind. Fortunately, a journal was found near his beaten body. Unfortunately, the journal says that he's the last remaining member of the royally Romanov family. Luckily for him he's able to find that beautiful woman and she happens to be an expert on...wait for it...the Romanov family.

This is a fun romance filled with mystery and a bit of historical intrigue. There is a definite case of insta-love at work, but hey, it's a fairy tale. What more could we expect? You'll enjoy this sweet break on the streets of Paris.

I loved the idea of the plotline, that one of the mc's is an assistant curator at the Louvre and all the descriptions of Paris.
However, I didn't fall completely in love with the book. I didn't think that there love life needed to be so explicit.

Her story of love in Paris, and the idea that the Tzar Nicholas II did not end his dynasty with the deaths of himself and his family at the hands of revolutionaries is hopelessly romantic. This is a great story on its own for love in Paris, the royal sparkle is just that the sparkle in the jewel of the Faberge` Egg. Great job my lady.
