This is interesting , revenge thriller with a moral tone . The question of at what point does revenge make you as bad as the others is well considered . The plot works well the characterisation is okay some very very balsa wood characters but the plot and the message carries you through it

What a deliciously wicked little book. It tells the story of Max, a brain surgeon who has discovered how to induce suicide in others. Firstly, this is a great premise. The book asks a lot of questions of the reader. Should we like Max? Should we condemn or condone his mission to hit Nazis with his device? What would we do if we had this power? The narrative doesn't answer these questions, but it is important to think about them through the novel. What I really enjoyed here, was the black humour that runs throughout. Max's repeated encounters with student social workers, his book obsession/condition, his insecurities and his thought processes. The author has managed to create a very witty novel dealing with a pretty horrific topic and I salute him for it. This book won't appeal to everyone. Subject matter alone is not for the faint hearted. However, I think that anyone who enjoys dark humour should give it a try. In my opinion, you won't be disappointed.

Very funny. Cute. Only ok though. I thought the whole thing was anticlimactic. Sad that he did it to himself. I was disappointed that there wasn't more to it. Reminded me a bit of Portnoy's Complaint, but not as entertaining.
