This is an enjoyable read telling the story of two sisters living during the time of change with the suffragette movement in full swing. Their Pa certainly struggled with change and his eldest daughter Olivia bear the brunt of his moods the most. It tells of a family coping with tragedy and coming out the other side.

I haven't read any of this author's books before but I will certainly be looking for more after reading Liverpool Sisters.

This is a heartwarming story set in Liverpool before the first world war. I liked the setting and descriptions in the book - a lovely family drama telling the story of two sisters. I found it a little slow to start but once it got going, I enjoyed it. The facts about the suffragette movement and sinking of the Titanic added to the story.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

Another wonderful saga set in Liverpool by Lyn Andrews. I love her books and the way she writes it's like you're actually there in the era as she describes the places and characters so well. I loved it.

Livvie and Amy Goodwin move to a new home with their parents. Soon after their mother dies in childbirth leaving the girls to keep house while their father, Thomas, builds up his business. Livvie joins the suffragette movement and things become very tense between Livvie and her father. It's not long before Livvie is told to leave the family home and has to make a new life for herself.

I have read most of Lyn Andrews books and I have enjoyed them all. Lyn has a knack in in her style of writing that makes you feel your living in the era her books are written in. The book is a bit slow to start, but once the story really starts, it more than makes up for it. The characters are believable and the events that take place are true to there time. A nice family drama that anyone can read.

I would like to thank NetGalley, Headline and the author Lyn Andrews for my ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This is a nostalgic, heart warming saga about two sisters who lose there mother to child birth. This is really more Livvie's story as she is the one who has to cope with looking after the household and bring up her little sister.

Until her father announces he will be remarrying, to a women named Mary who is only ten years older than Livvie.

How will they cope and will they like there new step mother?

The story also broaches the subject of the Women's Suffragette movement and the opinion of most people at the time.

This is a lovely story of Livvie's coming of age and the decisions she will have to make growing up.

Well written and a very well rounded story.

I haven't read any books by Lyn Andrews for some time as I tend to read crime thrillers. This book was definitely a refreshing change and I loved it. The facts about the suffragettes and the sinking of the Titanic certainly gave the book added realism which was a bonus.
