Thank you St. Martin's Press and NetGalley.
I think this book will be enjoyed best without any hint of what the plot is about. Just like the description says, what you think you are in store for is not what will happen. I liked having two authors on this, and I was not sure who wrote what. The chapters all had similar writing styles, so I appreciated how seamless the parts of the story were told. Your mind will flip sides frequently in this book as the twists start to unravel. I will say that I found one or two of the twists to be not that convincing, but I enjoyed the novel in its entirety. The pace moves quickly, which is appreciated. I am not sure I found myself rooting for any of the characters. I did not find anyone terrible, but maybe the quick pace of the novel prevented me from rooting for anyone. All in all, this is was a great read!

Warning. This is one of those books you’ll start reading and then part way into in you’ll realize that you probably need to go back and start reading it from the beginning again. It seemed so straight forward and despite paying attention to every little detail from the beginning (mainly because the description was telling me that things were not what they seemed-don’t assume anything, right?). I had a hard time putting this one down because of all the twists and turns. Vanessa is a young woman who was married to Richard. After not being able to conceive, their relationship falls apart and they divorce. Then Richard meets someone else and decides to marry her. Vanessa is a big, hot mess and goes to live with her Aunt Charlotte. The chapters alternate from different points of view and you think you know what’s going on until you realize some of the chapters are from the past and some are the present. It’s just a big twisty turn plot which I really enjoyed, all the way to the end. A must-read for thriller and suspense readers!
Thank you to Netgalley, Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen, and St. Martin’s Press for my ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This book is hopefully going to be a movie someday, or at least I think it would be a great movie! Definitely along the lines of The Girl on the Train and Her, etc... Amazing psychological thriller that absolutely kept me on the edge of my seat with each page. Fabulous writing and very clever. Great story line. Don't want to give too much away or spoil for others so the summary of the book is enough to interest anyone! Revenge at it's best. Totally shocking ending that really gets you! Highly recommend this one!

This was such a pleasant surprise. I was riveted from start to finish. My best recommendation for this would to go in without knowing a ton about the plot. I kept thinking I knew what was going on, but then there would be a curve ball. I read this in two days- it was one of those books that kept me up because I HAD to know the ending! Very well done. This will be a very popular domestic thriller next year.

Wow, the description was so true! I made many assumptions, and often thought I knew what was going to happen next. This was a fun read. I enjoyed the journey with Vanessa!

4.5 stars. Wow. What a story. I don't want to give away too much about this book because the twists are so good.
"When you read this book, you will make many assumptions.
You will assume you are reading about a jealous wife and her obsession with her replacement.
You will assume you are reading about a woman about to enter a new marriage with the man she loves.
You will assume the first wife was a disaster and that the husband was well rid of her.
You will assume you know the motives, the history, the anatomy of the relationships.
Assume nothing."
This says it all which is in the description of the book. This would be a great book club selection because there would be much discussion. I would love to discuss this book with someone. Several times during the book I thought to myself " did this really just happen?"

4.5 for this pleasant surprise. Not at all the story I was expecting. It's hard to say more without giving anything away but the twists that came caught me off guard. They weren't the same predictable ones I'm used to seeing.

HOLD MY WEAVE.
This book is intense. At first a classic psychological thriller about relationships and how they deteriorate and the different perspectives each person has, it soon descends into something much, much more interesting. I really enjoyed this.

It took me until the mid-point to finally get on board with this book and it did pick up quite a bit. However, normally I would have given up on a book by then. I did enjoy the writing style and the characters and there were a couple of things that caught me off guard in the 2nd half of the story. The big twist did make quite a difference in how I viewed the story but I almost wish I would have known from the beginning and it might have made a little more sense.

Wow! This might be the only book that I have ever read where nothing is what it seems! Every time I had an "ah ha" moment the carpet was jerked from underneath me. So many twists and turns. Definitely go into this one blind!

Where to start? This was a book with many twists and turns. Often books have very predictable storylines...not this one! The description says it all—"assume nothing." I can only say, "Do yourself a favor and read this book!" I will be recommending this book to all my friends and family. It is so well written and engrossing...you won't want to stop until you reach the end. I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for my honest review, but would have gladly paid to read this!

I would like to thank Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to read an ARC of The Wife Between Us. I have read most of Pekkenan's other books and didn't even realize she was a coauthor of this book until I finished.
In a book that has many twists and turns, I found myself fully immersed. Vanessa's ex husband Richard is getting remarried. We see Vanessa as she goes through dealing with this and still getting over her horrible marriage to Richard.
What we don't know while we are reading it is why the marriage ended. We slowly are let into the secrets of Vanessa and Richard's marriage.
I won't say too much more because of the possibility of spoiling something. But I highly recommend for people who like page turners and book that keep you guessing!

This book is full of twists that I did not see coming. It had me going back and wondering if I had read correctly. I also found the ending very unexpected and interesting. I would recommend this book if you are looking for a good psychological thriller. Thank you Net Galley for an advanced copy for my honest review.

This was the best book I've read all year! I read hundreds of thrillers, so it's difficult to shock me. "The wife between us" did just that! So engrossing I couldnt put it down, but I knew I would be sad to finish it! The story of an exwife having trouble letting go with her exhusbands remarriage. Or is it? The love story of a woman moving up. Or is it? So many twists and turns, but characters you care about. I can't wait for more stories by these authors. I'm obsessed!

The reviews I read on this book hyped it up and I was very excited to read it. The first third or so was very interesting and had me sneaking in a chapter or two when I should have been doing other projects. But, it eventually got very repetitive and I started to lose interest. The writing really needed to be tightened. The book was good, but could have been great.

5++++ stars for The Wife Between Us, by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen, due for release in January 2018. This was simply fantastic. I could not put it down and read it in less than twenty-four hours because I couldn't wait to find out what was going to happen next. The story is told from the alternating viewpoints of successful hedge fund manager Richard's ex-wife and his soon to be new wife. No synopsis here. Just read it cold and enjoy the twists and turns. The authors brilliantly manipulate the characters and adroitly misdirect reality and perception to take the reader on a nonstop roller coaster ride.
Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for providing me with an advance copy in exchange for an honest review.

I received this book free from Netgalley. I read it in less than 24 hours. Wow! I will be thinking about it for some time. So many things that you assume and "think" you know as your read turn out to be wrong. I found it to be very addictive and thought provoking. The main character was hard to like, but she definitely grew on me as the story went on, and in the end I was routing for her to succeed.

***Thanks to NetGalley for providing me a complimentary copy of THE WIFE BETWEEN US in exchange for my honest review ***
Oh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive.
Don’t read too many reviews before reading THE WIFE BETWEEN US. If you read the description of the book, you’ll already be looking for the twists and turns. You may even be distracted from the book, wondering what’s real and the reliability of the narrators.
The twists and turns will appeal to mystery lovers. Many are ingenious, fresh and surprising. I wouldn’t classify THE WIFE BETWEEN US as a thriller as much as a cross between mystery, character study, women’s fiction and literary fiction. I never held my breath and if I had expected to be on the edge of my seat with concern for the narrator, I may have been disappointed. Though not fast paced THE WIFE BETWEEN US kept me turning pages to find out what happened next. Even if you’re not an epilogue fan, this will blow you away.

I hate to leave a bad review for an author as I imagine that their book is their baby. Unfortunately this book was not for me, I got hooked by the description but did not care for the writer's style. I'm not sure how to describe it other than to say it was just ..... off. I was unable to finish the book, maybe it gets better but I think life is to short for meh books.
