This wasn’t my favourite in the series. There was an awful lot of sex, I’m no prude but it just felt wrong and didn't completely add to this instalment, especially after what had been spouted in the last two books. I began to not like Ellie, you can see her slowly unravel and try to justify her actions. However, and this is the clever thing, is she unravelling or is she being mad to feel this clueless and lost? So I did feel for her to an extent too.
Just like Ellie, I am conflicted. I am also extremely intrigued as to what the heck is going on and yet another cliffhanger. I mean wwwwhhhhhaaaaaaaattttttttt!! I am chomping at the bit to read the next one! It can’t end like that, but well it did but aaaahhh!!
This serialisation has been so addictive and the story as a whole is a complete head twist. I have no idea who to trust, the three main characters, Liam, Michael and Ellie are so not trustworthy. They have agendas but that’s what makes it all that much more enjoyable!!

And so it continues .........I enjoyed part three better than part two ,the momentum is building and oh my her unravelling is well written ,her obsevissness really comes through and her delusional sense of one rule for one one rule for another is kinda the theme for this part
She has lost her way even if turns out to be true he denial and justifications are not outweighing the mistrust and she still continues
They may have if there is one got over an affair but the truth is not with this wife in the mix
Controlling obsessional and grieving being the condition ,she is relentless to explore the pain from the past over and over and unpick it and then looking literally looking for trouble and lies in her husband
I have no idea if he’s having an affair but Jesus without much evidence she’s convincing herself he is at the cost of her own well being
I’m now convinced she just wants to be probed right and this is not about them anymore bar her anger frustration that he isn’t still mourning the past
Now for part four

I thank Netgalley for allowing me to read this book in exchange for an honest review........
Wow that was a turn in events. The third part of this book was as addictive as the first two. I'm completely hooked. I was engrossed in this part of the story from start to finish. Now gonna start book 4.....

I read all three of the books in this series one after another hoping to make one good book out of them all but it just didn't happen. The story is not exciting at any stage and could be written as one short story rather than adding all the boring and repetitive padding that all three books had in abundance.
I hate to give such negative criticism but I could not find any redeeming features to the series.Unlikable and unbelievable characters and a plot to match.

This whole series is so gripping, I read all 3 in a day as I couldn't get enough. The characters are incredible, I adore Ellie even though I probably shouldn't. The idea that it's comparable to Docter Foster is spot on. Really recommend these, they'd be perfect for a holiday read on the beach! Or a flight!

Part 3 of The Wife continues to ratchet up the tension as Ellie's fears for her relationship with husband Michael plague her every waking moment. Is she justified in her thoughts and extreme actions, or simply paranoid after a devastating incident in the past? And where does their mutual friend Liam really figure in all this? Secrets are revealed and we are left breathlessly hanging at the end as Ellie witnesses something shocking. But with the fourth and final part still to come, we can be sure there are still more surprises in store.
I am genuinely loving this series, even if there are times I could happily shake Ellie. I can't say I particularly like any of the key characters, but the author knows how to spin a good yarn and maintain page-turning momentum. Eagerly awaiting the conclusion!

Brilliant book. I couldn’t put it down. A real page turner which had me hooked from the start. I can’t wait for the next part. Five stars from me. Highly recommended.
Many thanks to Netgalley and ML Roberts for the copy of this book. I agreed to give my unbiased opinion voluntarily.

This has been an interesting book so far and I'm so keen to get part four to see the conclusion. I liked Liam to begin with but now I just want to slap him. I'm unsure what's going to happen and whether it's all in Ellie's head but I'm looking forward to finding out.
Thanks goes to net galley and the publishers for providing me with a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

This series just gets better and better.I couldn't put this book down I'm loving the story line it has twist and turns and you are left wanting to find out more. Didn't want this book to end.now have to wait for part 4.

The Wife – Part Three: In Sickness and In Health (The Wife series)
by M.L. Roberts
Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews
Genre: general fiction (adult)
**Spoilers here for part one and two**
It was kind of obvious what was going to happen with Liam, and I don't see how Ellie rationalises it to herself. I know her thoughts, just find it skewed. As for Liam, well, with friends like that who needs enemies as the saying goes.
Michael I still find really cold. He's warm and charming to everyone in public but when they're alone he just seems to shut her down. They went through a horrific experience, and he seems to feel Ellie should just be able to move on. I can't help wondering if perhaps he talked to her earlier whether she might have been able to but she's now in the throes of full obsession and paranoid. Or is she? After all its only paranoia if they're not out to get you, as the saying goes....
Its a little moved on finally, Michael seems to see Ellie has issues, but his solution? Well, weird...unless he really is hiding something and it certainly looks like it. Appearances can be deceiving though but that ending, well, can it be what it looks like or is there another explanation? I have the feeling book four is going to exonerate Michael in some way, explain all his mysterious activities innocently but Ellie's actions subsequently will affect them. Or not ;-) . I'm not good at predicting what will happen in a story.....
As I've said before, I hate is that this is a four part book that could easily have been a stand alone, a each part is only around 100 pages, for me waiting breaks the tension, the story loses impact.
Sometimes it seems authors do this to maximise income, but that doesn't seem to be the case and all four parts at current price total £2.97, which is very reasonable. I think its done modeled on TV specials which is fine for many readers, but one of the reason I don't watch TV. I want ALL the story, not just teases.
Still, looking at reviews this works fine for other readers, the old horses for courses stuff again.
Stars: Four, some progress but is all as it seems? Just wish book four was out now!

The psychological tension is ramped up in this penultimate episode of the serial. Book 2 – ‘In Sickness and In Health’, ends with a life-changing event for Ellie, although not entirely surprising from the reader’s point of view. Is Michael the true villain of this? Or is it all in Ellie’s troubled mind? Maybe Liam isn’t the selfless, knight in shining armour Ellie believes him to be?
Ellie thinks she is in control but is she? There are so many questions in this third book, which has a dark, sinister ethos. Ellie is in danger but is she her own enemy or is there someone else controlling her life for their own ends.
There is a shocking ending to book 3, but I’m not convinced everything is as it appears to be. Can’t wait for the finale of this gripping, emotional serial.
I received a copy of this book from Harper Impulse via NetGalley in return for an honest review.
The review will be posted on Amazon when it is released on 5 January 2018.
