Nadiya Hussain's 'British Food Adventure' is a great illustration of how you can take classic recipes and give them a little twist. With clear instructions and absolutely beautiful photographs, this is a book I'll be making sure my children handle with gloves on, for sure!

Just a sample. It didnt even work on my kindle and was a total waste of time. I do not see the point in sending chapters to review, how can you possible make a valid opinion of something if you dont see the finished result?

Having just had a taste of this book ;) I want more! It looks amazing and has some very yummy recipes. The book, author and recipes all seem quite down to earth thankfully no pretentious food and recipes (that I saw). I can’t wait to view the rest

I love Nadiya Hussain, straight away from watching her succeed on Bake Off. She is so full of character and that really shows through her book. Her recipes are divine too! A great book for just about anyone.

Thank you for the chance to see a sampler of this book. The Eton Mess cheesecake looks delicious. The sampler would definitely encourage me to buy the book.

The book supplied was just a sampler containing two recipes. This made it difficult to give a full review, so I will not be able to post elsewhere, but I really liked what I read. Nicely illustrated with attractive recipes.
My star rating is based on what I have seen of the book.
Many thanks to netgalley and the publisher for a chance to see the sampler.

This book was everything I expected it to be and a fantastic companion to the tv series. I can't get enough of Nadia's recipes and I loved this collection, can't wait to try them all.

I adore Nadiya - a likeable and talented lady - so I was very much looking forward to reading this sampler. I wasn't disappointed. Based on this, I've ordered a hard copy of the book for myself. More will be ordered as presents as they're needed.

Nadiya's charming television persona comes across well in her book - she's a talented writer as well as a great cook and this book would make a wonderful gift for any foodies or Bake Off fans in your life.

I’ve had The hardback if this for quite a while and used it a lot. Based on the tv series it is a little twist on what we think of as British food. The last recipe I used was the haggis tart tatin which turned out great. A simple idea in many ways but a great midweek meal. Love the cod burgers with added flavours. This is a go-to book for me.

I like the definition of ‘British food’ as food that embraces the multiple cultures of this island.
Clear, sensibly laid out instructions and the pictures are lovely.
Nadiya’s own memories and ideas add interest to the recipes, so people who know her from her TV shows and media profile will like this book.

Nadiya's British Food Adventure looks to be a lovely book with some very interesting recipes. I really like the author's perspective and her warmth. I would love to have this title on my cookbook shelf.

A lovely book all about british food. I watched the show and loved the recipes she created with local foods, so this book was a must have! I love cooking and these recipes were gorgeous, easy to follow and great to taste! I would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves food!

Well this sounds like a very interesting coffee table cookery book designed for those who love to indulge in rich, tasty food. Definitely not one for a diet conscious cook!

Unfortunately the two sample recipes provided were inadequate for me to asses the full contents. The provision of an index would have been helpful in this instance.

I didn't know much about Nadia's cooking skills as was not a fan of Great British Bake off (there are some of us) but was impressed by this book, it is definitely one I will dip in and out of over the years. Well written and she injects her own personality.

I knew when I was given a sampler to read that it would not have many recipes, but I was really disappointed to only have TWO recipes from this book. Yes, I did enjoy reading the introduction – beautifully written and such a wonderful story of family life and love, but I cannot accurately review a book without having more recipes. Such a pity – the recipes for the scones and the cheesecake give a glimpse of how the author is tweaking well known British favourites, but it is not quite enough for me to want to go out to buy the book.

A brilliant book full of recipes with a twist. The book made me feel hungry. The pictures are north watering and the recipes easy to follow. Love love love Nadiya.

I have always enjoyed following Nadiyas recipes since she had a column in the Times. They are easy to follow and turn out out really well, even for a novice baker. Can’t wait to try the rest of the recipes in this beautiful book

A great sampler of a lovely looking coffee table cookery book.
Nadia is so likeable, relatable and down to earth. Her personality shines through in the wonderful introduction which sets out her background and where her love of cookery stems from.
Some of the recipes she describes sound delicious to me (Masla Eggy Bread, Chilli Lasagne, Minted Lamb and Apple Pasties and Cheese Scones with Chive Butter). However, a couple of them did not sound appealing to me (Fish Pie with Cinamon Sweet Potato and Fennel Welsh Cakes).
Sadly , there were only recipes in the sampler. Eton Mess Cheesecake (which I personally would not make as I do not like meringue) and Cheese scones with Chive Butter. Both recipes had good institutions and looked easy to follow. I will try the Cheese Scones recipes at some point.
I like the look of this book and will definitely take a closer look at it and consider buying the whole book.
