It was ok i guess. It took me absolutely ages to trawl through it because i constantly lost interest and found something better to do.

A warm, engaging read by Debbie Macomber. The characters were interesting and the storyline kept my attention gripped. For anyone who believes that there is no such thing as a second chance, read Shay and Drew's story. Two people from extreme opposite ways of life meet and show each other that there is always hope, and that people's lives can be changed when they least expect it.

I loved the little girl, Sarah and how she just said what she thought. It was a great contrast to Shay and Drew , who tiptoed around sensitive subjects, she really brought the couple together and the children were an important part of the relationship.

I also enjoyed how the narration changed with each chapter from the point of view of both main characters, it gave an interesting insight into what both the characters were thinking.

I am not sure about this book but I did finish it. The story is set around Shay, who is recently released from prison and Pastor, Drew a widower with two children. They meet in Drew's church and eventually fall in love. However there are many obstacles for them to overcome before they can be together.

Very Debbie. Fantastic and beautifully written book about second chances. It was amazing from start to finish. Debbie has a unique way of using her characters and making them come alive

If you were asked what your dreams were but didn't believe in yourself or anyone else enough to have any, how would you feel? This is how Shay feels due to her troubled and dishevelled past.

In is lovely heartwarming story Shay is trying to correct the errors of her past ways. Learning to trust those around her, use them to support her and learn to believe and love .

I loved the characters in this book from the desperate Drew who loved his children but was struggling to look after his church and get over the loss of his wife. His son Mark who seems nonchalant and a typical teenager and the lovely bubbly little Sarah.

An inspirational story that gives you the warm fuzzy feeling as you get to know Shay and how second chances are there for everyone you just have to take your opportunity and make the most of it

This book was amazing from start to end and deserved far more than five stars I couldn't put it down as had me hooked from the first page and I just wanted to keep reading to find out what would happen next. So many twists and turned you really don't no what will happen next. It's a story of romance and starting a new life and proving dreams can come true. The book is based round two main characters shay and Drew and how they need to find themselves in different ways and how they save each other. First you have Shay who has had a bad start in life and takes money from her with to help her brother but she ends up in prison and when she is let out she gets on a bus and when she gets off she is outside a church so goes in and finds the vicar Drew and he helps her on to a programme and she changes her life round or does she. She is told by the person at the centre that she can reach her dreams and she is not sure so can she do it and be happy. Then you have Drew who is a vicar but has lost his wife four years ago and left with two children but is so lost in life but when he's praying in church a lady comes in who is just out of prison and in finding her somewhere to live he gets in contact with a friend and he starts changing his life as he gets closer to Shay but can everyone else come to trust her and can they be happy especially when his brother comes into his life and it brings bad things to the sister shay but can she stay strong and move forward in life and get the dreams she wants of a happy family. Well worth reading. Gets you from the first page right to the last and loved it so much.

Shay has had a tough upbringing that she managed to turn around and got herself her dream job in a bank, that is until her beloved brother Caden turned up and ruined everything - sacrificing her own future for the sake of him she made a massive mistake and ended up in prison

Drew, a Methodist preacher, lost his wife to cancer and has been struggling ever since, if it wasn't for his two children, Sarah and Mark, he wouldn't get out of bed in the mornings but for them he has to keep going.

When Shay is released from prison she is jobless, homeless and with no-one to turn to - so when she arrives in Drew's church and he helps her get back on her feet she is eternally grateful - but can it ever be more than that surely someone of his standing would never be interested in her!

A lovely feel good book, great characters and I love the way Shay who is so damaged manages to fight back and find her way in the world

Reading a Debbie Macomber book is like meeting up with an old friend. They are so warm and comforting, I haven't read any of this series of books this title is in but it doesn't matter as it is a great read.
