This is a great book; this is the first book in the Bachelor Bay series written by Deborah Schneider. Bailey Holmes is about to take her show, Domestic Goddess, to the big time. With a larger network, new sponsor and series of shows around her upcoming wedding, she’s poised to be a media darling. Until her fiancé announces he’d rather be the bride and a gossip reporter publishes an unflattering article about her. With her life going flatter than a sad souffle, she heads to Horseshoe Island for a family gathering and to hide-out. Bailey’s family offers to let her renovate their ancient family fishing lodge for her show. There’s only one stipulation, they’ve already hired a carpenter to do the job, and he stays. Max Cumberland is thrilled at the chance renovate Blue Moon Lodge, until he discovers the job is going to be part of a television show and he has to put up with a micro-managing domestic diva. This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. This book will keep you reading long into the night. If you are looking for a great book, then you need to read this book. I am looking forward to reading the next book by this great author. A Review copy was provided to me in exchange for a fair and honest review. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

I didnt quite like it. Maybe what was missing was the POV of the "sexy carpenter"??? And I did not really warm up to the heroine. Quite frankly, and excuse my language, she was a bitch. I mean, she only spoke to the child so that the father could think well of her!!! As a reader i did not want to know that. Ik you are trying to potray reality but some peoppe read to escape reality, They need to fall in love with the character and want more of her for this book and future books to sell!! (I understand this book is a series)And also there could have been a bit more of a side romance There was quite alot wrong with the book. Consider having a beta reader read it and then edit it.

Fun romance meets HGTV

Deborah Schneider is a new author to me and I'm so glad I picked this book to read. Bailey and Max were a fun couple to watch fall in love while it was definately lust at first sight. The plot had some interesting curves and the dialogue was smart.
I also liked the supporting characters would love to see Meg get her HEA.

I volunteered to read and review an ARC of this book which I received from NetGalley.

This book was not my cup of tea, the heroine start out aggressive moved on to diva and then became whiny I don't know why Max bothered with her, she had just started to come around and act human when bang the story was over. This book needed more.
