Firstly thank you for the opportunity to read this book. I'm not really a fan of contemporary romance but I'm happy I read this book. From the very first chapter I was hooked, I didn't want to put it down. I couldn't wait to see if there was a happily ever after, but at the same time I didn't want it to end. It was a great storyline , well written, brilliant characters. It was quite heartbreaking I even shed a few tears. I'm glad things worked out for them. If only all relationships where like theirs. absolutely worth 5 stars and more...

I found this book good and romantic, yet predictable. I think the author did a nice job of describing the characters and really letting the reader into their life. It did draw me in right away, which is important when I am reading a novel. Overall, I would recommend it for a light read, but it wasn't my favorite.

3 stars!

Nineteen Letters was a cute romance with a lot of childhood memories and a second chance twist. When Jemma gets in a car crash she wakes up with no memory and no one is more devastated than her husband Braxton. We get a small scene with the two of them pre-accident, to set the background of their relationship and then immediately the story gets into the accident.

As Braxton is dealing with her memory loss he comes up with a way to communicate without overwhelming her with his presence and sends her letters, the first one being their first ever meeting as kids, followed by a little charm bracelet she has to feel with little pieces of their memories.

There’s not a lot to be said about the book, it’s a HEA and it’s pretty obvious what is happening, the character’s were decent – apart from Jemma’s mom who acted like a child and pissed me off the entire time I read the book, I just couldn’t deal with her at all. Braxton is a sweetheart even though post accident Jemma is a little mean to him.

Overall this was sweet and to the point, nothing to go crazy over though.

If I'm completely honest, I wouldn't have looked twice at this book had I come across it and not read this author before. The cover doesn't appeal to me, and it doesn't look like a romance I'd normally read. I know that's bad to judge a book by its cover, but it happens. Either way, I have read this author before so I looked at the blurb and I wanted to read it immediately.

I'm glad I had read this author before so I looked twice. This was a beautiful story and one that kept me hooked from start to finish. It took me on an emotional journey, and I was surprised by how much more contemporary romance than women's fiction it felt, which was good for me.

I thought the characters were created brilliantly and the author dealt with the trauma and sensitive subjects well. She created a book about two characters who go through a lot and have to rediscover themselves, but they don't give up. I got to watch them fall for each other twice and the bond between them was easily felt.

I also felt for Braxton. I felt his pain and uncertainty. His emotions were believable but I loved his fight. He refused to give up. He loved Jemma and that's all there was too it. Everything about his emotions were raw and well developed.

My only small issue was the ending. While Jemma and Braxton got the ending I wanted, I felt the book had been leading up to a spin off with Lucas. I wanted it to happen, but I was just thrown into the epilogue instead. That element of the book felt a bit rushed and I wanted another book.

Overall, this was a beautifully written book. I'm glad I'd heard of this author and read her previous work so I could take a chance on this. It kept me engaged and I fell in love with the characters.

I received an ARC copy of Nineteen letters from Netgalley, so thank you Netgalley and publishers, they were actually looking for UK readers and I didn't realize until I already sent the request, thankfully they still accepted me, and boy am I sure glad they did!!!!  I dont even know where do I start, it brought tears to my eyes and I knew I would have to finish it as soon as I could! :)

Braxton was so adorable, sweet, romantic and just overall amazing, he really is the perfect boyfriend!
Braxton and Jemma met as kids and as they got older their friendship started to bloom, they fell in love, then they got engaged, then they get married, life seems to be going perfect then tragedy strikes!
I couldn't imagine how it must feel to wake up and not know who you are, it must be terrifying. It's not only devastating for the person with memory loss, it's tragic and hard for the family as well. Braxton isn't willing to give up on their love and decides to write Jemma letters about the life they have shared. It really reminded me of Nicholas Sparks books mixed with the movie " The Vow".
This was my first book from this author but I can tell you it definitely won't be my last :) ♡♡♡♡♡

A must read for all hopeless romantics!

For a new author, Jodi Perry has certainly hit the ground running with Nineteen Letters. Right from the very beginning of this book it was clearly evident that it was going to be something special but it was so much more than I could have ever hoped for.

This book had me crying right from the very start and the tears continued pretty much all of the way through the book, and when I wasn’t crying, my heart was being squeezed so tight that it hurt for this lost love. Despite the pain at the outset and the struggles faced by Braxton since his wife’s accident, the love story portrayed through the nineteen letters Braxton wrote to Jemma was breathtaking.

From childhood sweethearts to marriage, Braxton recounts every moment of their relationship in a way that Jemma can’t help but respond to. As each letter is delivered, Jem starts to fall in love with the man that her subconscious has forgotten all over again.

This is a book that I have no reservations in recommending. It is a second chance romance like no other and one which you will hold dear for years to come.

What a stunningly beautiful book - all the feels - I could quite easily see this becoming a movie..

Such an emotional rollercoaster The author sensitively tackles two types of memory loss trauma and Alzheimer's, learning to grieve and the aftermath of infidelity..

Loved the Characters of Jemma and Braxton and felt the epilogue was a perfect ending..
