Her Mate and Master by Renee Rose.
An Alien Warrior Romance.
Talia didn’t escape her slave master only to be shackled again.
A brilliant read. Loved the story and characters. Love this author. 5*.

This is a quick and hot science fiction romance.

From the start, the book is full of action, fights, steamy scenes and romance. I like that the pace is so fast. There is no room for unnecessary description or filler scenes. It’s full on throughout the book and I loved it.
The characters are interesting and diverse. The relationships are interesting and so hot.
Sometimes I had hard times keeping up with who’s who and what species they are but all in all, I loved this book.

Renee Rose and her Zandian series are drop dead sexy, steamy, and kinky. These books are not for the easily offended or the faint of heart.

Why did I wait so long to read this book and then review it? I picked this up because I like the author. I'm used to her kinky stories and thought I'd try her sci-fi/space opera one. I have to admit, it was gloriously enjoyable. This story can be read as a standalone. Fair warning, it may cause a reader to then look for the rest of the series and read it all.

Talia is a determined slave with a plan in mind. She is going to free herself. The story starts out with a bang as she tries to escape. Whilst she has the will and determination, she does not exactly have the way. As in, her plan is not exactly as thought out as she thinks. Luckily for her, she meets Tomis. Tomis has a slightly ulterior motive to save her which quickly becomes apparent in the story.

The pace of this story is a gentle rolling up and down in a smooth cadence. The story seduces a reader and transports them to an alien yet familiar type world. Ms. Rose does a nice job of creating enough differences for sci-fi readers to enjoy whilst keeping enough of the familiar for sci-fi lite readers to understand. The tie for romance readers is most likely the delicious kinky scenes. It isn't a Ms. Rose tale if someone's tail isn't being punished! I enjoyed every lash and discipline. This erotica space opera is recommended to kinky readers who enjoy aliens and maledom.

Tenee Rose has great attention to detail and makes everything from the setting, to the characters feel very real. It makes for a wonderfully written and very authentic novel.

Rose manages to take the reader through a barrage of other emotions besides the typical and they will find themselves submerged in the world and feeling every single things that happens to the characters.

Fun, addictive, and full of surprises. There wasn't any time to have my mind wandering. From the get go, there was lots of things happening at once. It was a full ride!

I read this book without reading the preceding books in the series, and it was enjoyable as a standalone story, but certainly inspired me to go back and read those predecessors.
This book brings up an important issue within both the feminist community and among survivors of sexual assault, and while it doesn't go too in depth in these issues, it comes to the ultimate conclusion: a person must do what's best for them and what they wish. Personal choice is what matters.
Our main character is someone who is a survivor of sexual assault, and though her ability to detach herself from the situation would initially have her not see herself in that position, it's once she discovers someone she truly has a connection with that makes that connection. She goes through her own internal struggles of coming to terms what she has been through, and reconciling her physical desire to have what we would call a BDSM sexual life with someone she loves with what she had gone through. She describes her partner as being "worthy" of dominating her. He is worthy because he doesn't dominate her in the entity of her life - he actively encourages her to explore her own independence, life goals, and develop herself as a person. He'll go against the cultural mores of his people in order to support her. He desires to know her as a person, for them to have a genuine partnership outside of sex, and though his efforts are often flawed, he ultimately succeeds. His domination of her in their sexual life is one they both know is purely consensual - and that's part of what makes him worthy. What he does is what she desires. She desires the appearance of him being in control, when in fact, they are equal partners, both in control and wanting to please each other and themselves. Taramina encompasses an individual with agency, strength, talent, and independence, while also being someone with sexual desires, without compromising one part of her identity for another.

Her Mate and Master by Renee Rose is the 6th book in the Zandian Masters series. I will say I did not read this series in order and was not lost. I do love the style of writing Ms. Rose has she keeps me engaged and gives me great characters to fall in love with.
I like the heroine Talia she is strong but still has a softness to her that makes her likable. She does not strike me as a damsel in distress which I love. She also has a huge heart that makes you want to be her friend.
Tomis well he has many twists and turns to his character that make him well worth reading about.
There is some politics in this book that were lost on me I don’t follow the series, but it did not detract from the love story. And wow that is off the charts hot whew! If you want a scifi that will keep your attention and make you want more I suggest picking this one up.

I was a little worried this would turn out to be one of those cliche space erotica stories. I was pleasantly surprised to find a well-written and unique story. Although this may not be everyone's cup of tea, for those into BDSM erotica, you'll find this rather enjoyable in more ways than one.

I liked the book. The characters could have used with some more depth to them but over all I liked it well enough.

I loved reading the amazing and enthralling romance story. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written love story of Talia and Tomis.

This book wasn't a good fit for me. I found it to be heavy on the erotic and light on the plot. I couldn't connect with the heroine who made poor decisions and lacked depth. When you add an alpha male Dom, it was too much for me to enjoy. If someone's looking for a hot alien read with a bit of non con vibe , this will be the read for them.

I have enjoyed all of the Zandian Masters Books so far. They have a good storyline and I enjoy the fact that characters from the previous books are interwoven throughout.

From the same series as above, but with a twist. Unlike the previous stories, rather than buying a human slave, this young heroic alien goes undercover to rescue one of the last females of his race, who also happens to be the daughter of his sensei. Of course things don’t go as planned and they have to make a run for it, with him desperate to have her but not about to dishonor her—or rather her father—despite her obvious willingness.
Even though she wasn’t human, she wasn’t that much different than the others. The story was pretty much the same; not that that’s a bad thing, but something a little less formulaic would have been nice.
I liked the female character, but not as much as the previous human ones. The story didn’t seem as fun either, though still good.
3.5 pushed up to 4/5

Even though this is the 6th book in an interconnected series, it can be read as a stand alone book very easily. This was my first in the series, now I will be going back and reading the rest. What are you waiting for? Grab it while you can!

Her Mate and Master follows along with the series. It can be read as a standalone but there are references to past stories in the series. It was a relatively quick read with an overly stubborn female lead, Talia, and a clueless Zandian, Tomis.

While I enjoyed reading this book part of it was missing so I did not see how it ended. I also found that I would have understood more of it had I read the books that came before this one. I will definitely read the previous books in this series for sure.

Received a review copy through NetGalley.

When I first started this book I didn't realise it's part of a series, yet alone it's the 6th instalment. Yet it was so easy to get into! It's the perfect book to relax and just enjoy the story without getting too worked up. In fact when I finished I found myself craving more of this world. So I went and found the rest of the series and started the first one.

There's a lot of sex scenes in this book and they are outright amazing! They pushed all the right buttons and I realised that I've made quite the mistake of reading this in a public space. So I little advice save it for when you'll have privacy and some uninterrupted free time. You'll thank me later ;) But while the sex scenes were scorching hot it was the plot that really got my attention. Had it been only a filler between the sexual interludes I would have still enjoyed the book but wouldn't have been interested in continuing to read the series.

I received an ARC for a honest review. I've read all of the Zandian warriors book and have enjoyed them all. This book is no different but Talia drove me crazy with all her running away. She is one of those heroines that doesn't think and keeps getting in trouble only to be rescued by the hero. Tomis on the other hand was a wonderful hero. He was very "masterful" but was also so loyal and for a lack of a better word heroic! He is probably one of my favorite heros in this series. The sex scenes were definitely hot...as always. I can't wait for the next installment. I was disappointed the story didn't give a preview of the next story and who will be involved. The backstory of the Zandians fighting to regain their planet is also very enjoyable!

Renee Rose writes in a fairly formulaic (for her) way. I feel like her timeline for the romance and the feels to develop is too short but the sex is always hot so it kind of makes up for the fact that everyone loves everyone else 2 days after meeting one another.
