I'm becoming a big fan of Lindsey Kelks work having read a few of her books now, always easy reading and fun and I find myself absorbed in the story. I have had this book for so long and only just got around to reading it.
Angela is heartbroken when she discovers her boyfriend has been cheating on her and finds this out in the most devastatingly way , she just needs to get away. She jumps straight on a plane to New York and begins the most epic adventure. A brilliant story of loss, love and friendships this book has it all, it made me feel all the emotions and I'm exited to read the next book.

Escaping to New York after a broken heart
Determined there to make a fresh start
Not expecting it to help her find herself once more
Or to meet some folk she'll come to adore!
A story of finding yourself and romance
When you thought there'd never be another chance.
For my complementary copy of this book, I say thank you,
And hope you enjoy this, my honest review.

This was an a light hearted read with an enjoyable story and characters. I liked seeing Angela's growth and how she came back from heart-break and it's always good to read about a journey that takes you to New York!

I did want a bit more from the story. and I'm glad there's more of Angela's adventures to read about.

A great summer read, perfect for a city break in New York (or even a beach holiday) to lose yourself in and while the hours away with a bit of fun, laughter and enjoyment. Another great read from this Author.

I love the circumstances that finds the main character moving away. Its not overly original but I find that the strength behind the main character is something that a lot of authors don't add. I felt that this is a really easy read and I have continued with the series. Its a nice break from hear storylines. I liked the situation but it did feel a little cringy. It' a book that I didn't want to take to seriously. But overly enjoyed it and will be finishing off the series.

Sadly this didn’t live up to previous books from this author. I’m afraid it ticked all the cliche boxes and had an shallow and freebie-seeking main character. Not for me, I’m afraid.

Who doesn't love a contemporary book especially one that is set in New York? If I have caught your attention already then this book is for you.

Not having read any of Lindsey Kelk's books before I was going in blind, the thing is I was pleasantly surprised and thoroughly enjoyed it. I always love to read a contemporary chick lit book as they make me smile this one was no different.

Following Angela on her journey of heartache to transformation this book is heart-warming it definitely gave me all the feels and I loved that it was a make over book. I love how even thought the characters don't' need to change they change for themselves and she definitely went from a caterpillar to a butterfly finding her own style and feet in New York.

Who wouldn't love this book!? The characters make you feel you are part of their lives, you experience their highs and lows just as you would in your own lives with the hope that the ending would turn out well for them, after all a fairy tale always does doesn't it? Set in wonderful New York this is a fabulous book, humerous, poignant and a true reflection of modern life. A great read - highly recommended.

This was an easy book to read. I did think it was pretty predictable and flimsy in places. It would be a great book to read whilst holidaying in New York.

Any book set in New York is a winner with me and this was no exception. I just loved all the day to day details of living in the Big Apple.

When we first meet Angela she is a bridesmaid at her BF's wedding. Next thing she is alone in a hotel room in NYC with no one she knows wondering what on earth she has done.

Luckily Angela gets a new BF and a group of friends who begin to help her live (and me vicariously) New York style. Personally I loved the descriptions of the shopping trips and her purchases.

Don't expect this book to be realistic - it's pure escapism chic lit, and apart from the locations of the various places in NY, totally chic lit fiction. A few things I wasn't personally comfortable with, like dating two guys at once and the way her blog seemed to be a plagiarism of Carrie Bradshaw's style.

I hadn't realised that this was the first in a series of books and I will be looking to read the others to see what else happens to Angela as she has a big decision to make in this book which sets out the path for future books.

I thought I didn't like romance type books, but I was wrong! I loved every minute of I Heart New York, I have already bought the next book in the series.
Angela catches her boyfriend cheating on her, she jumps on a plane and flies to New York. This book is fun, and light.

This is a readable chick lit book. I think the standards in this genre can be so high (I'm thinking Marian Keyes, Paige Toone, Sophie Kineslla, etc.) that it is difficult at times when you come across a book in this genre that is a good read. I enjoyed this book.

I had read a few negative reviews about this book which made me apprehensive about reading it but I'm glad I decided to take the chance.

I really enjoyed Angela's adventures in New York & would really like to read the rest of the series

Angela finds out at her best friends wedding, that her boyfriend is cheating on her and that everyone knew. Angela flees to New York to get away and finds herself loving her new life. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I really loved the new characters that Angela meets and I loved the setting. I would definitely recommend this book.

A fun and easy read with a likeable character in relatable(ish) situations.

I found it a bit too flimsy as I started but the more I read the more I enjoyed the book. I’d be keen to read more in the series.

Nothing new, but a fun summer read.

3.5 stars.

Thanks to NetGalley and Lindsey Kelk for my copy in exchange for an honest review.

Angela Clarke is a very likeable and admirable character, who although had her heart completely broken, still made a giant change to her life and pushed herself massively out of her comfort zone. Turns out that was the best thing she could have ever done, because although her life in the UK was in complete shambles, New York absolutely adored her and Angela so easily and effortlessly was given a life that she never knew could really happen for her. It kind of made me want to up and move to NY if it was that simple, although knowing my luck I'd have the opposite luck and be back in the UK before I could even try to start a new life.

Angela starts her new life in New York with not one, but three glamorous girls with incredible contacts, great guy advice and an all-you-need-to-know guidebook on how to look the most fabulous as you can possibly be. Not only that, but she is given the opportunity to write a blog for an online magazine AND date two gorgeous men at the same time. She really was wasted in the UK.

After having a seriously dead-beat relationship at home, it was really exciting to see Angela have her cake and eat it too. At first, I wasn't really feeling either of the guys, but nearing the end when Angela did make a decision, I was happy with that choice and knew he was the right fit for her.

Her friendship with Jenny is also probably my most favourite thing about the book. They're complete opposites of each other personality wise, but Jenny has completely transformed Angela to wear the most high-branded fashion you could possibly want, making them both similar now in the style of clothing they wear. I enjoyed reading about Jenny because she is such a confident, stylish, outspoken,  gorgeous woman, but underneath all of that, she is so heartbroken and pretty much like a vulnerable little girl. It's nice to see that human side to her as well as also seeing the wild side in her.

I really loved reading Angela's perspective of New York as a first timer because it allowed me to feel like I was experiencing it all for the first time again and I was super giddy to walk the streets with her. I also enjoyed visiting new locations with her and now have a lovely list of food places to visit on my next trip there!

I definitely can put this book on my favourites of all time list and will probably find myself re-reading time and time again. The first book of the series provided me with a fun and flirty read, filled with adventure and a kick up the butt to stop hiding away in this little bubble I'm in and just explore the world. It is the perfect read for everyone who loves chicklit, romance and New York, and I can't wait to see where Angela takes us for the rest of the series!

I have to admit the book cover does not appeal to me, it looks too light and fluffy. The blurb caught my eye, but upon reading the book i must admit i was disappointed. The story was light and fluff and thought easy to read it left me unsatisfied.  This book will certainly appeal to many fans of chick lit, but for me it was a quick easy read that filled a couple of hours time.

What an excellent start to the series, Angela was heart warming, funny and completely relatable to. It was like reading a long lost friend. A great start to what I am sure is an excellent series. I’m off out to purchase the next instalment in Angela’s travels.

Such a cute story, I haven’t read any of Lindsey Kelk’s “I Love...” series, but I certainly will be after reading this.

Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for the opportunity to read this book for free and for an honest review.

A very entertaining read. I usually read pretty slowly but this one had me flying through from about half way to see what the heroine would do. In a lot of respects the ending is probably what you would expect from a book in this genre. That said, Kelk's writing is top class so you will finish this book satisfied.

This is the first novel I have read by this author and I'm sure I will be reaching for a few more of her titles. Recommended.
