Great easy read. Was gripped from the beginning when things start to go wrong at the wedding. A little Unbelievable but fun and it's great the dream. Loved it

Not very original in the style of Bridget Jones. Heroine who thorns misfortune onto fortune with a few hiccups along the way.

I actually thought I'd read this book already as I have read others in the series, but on starting it I realised I hadn't but perhaps before reading the other books I should have read this one so it fills in the gaps that the other follow up books don't explain.

As I was on holiday this, was an easy, lie by the pool read. It was predictable but, just what's need to relax.

Kelk's writing is as fresh and funny as when I first read this book a number of years ago. Yes the plot and characters are a little cliched, but the writing is witty enough to make me keep reading. In fact, even though I had read I heart New York, and most of Kelk's subsequent works before, I really enjoyed the re-read - fun, escapist fiction which deserves to be popular.

When Angela catches her boyfriend cheating on her at her best friends wedding and so she decides to up and leave everything an get on a plane to New York....and who can blame her! She books into the first hotel she finds and lands on her feet meeting the concierge Jenny, who soon becomes her best friend and starts to show her the high life of New York

Dating new men, Tyler and Alex, writing a blog and generally having a great time she very quickly falls in love with New York but will she have to chose between the two men and will she decide to stay in New York or will she want to go home?

A very light easy reading book, chick lit ideal for the beach with some good comedy moments

This is part of a genre which is loosely based on Cinderella. Girl (in this case in her mid 20s) reinvents herself before being unmasked and then finding happiness. The catalyst is a very good, as these things go, bad break up which precipitates a sudden move to New York. This is where my need for a believable plot started winning. Visa? Can you just run away to the USA? Luckily she has money. Meets a fairy god-hotel receptionist and scores a top job as a writer.

There are endless shopping lists and clothing labels being checked. Shoes. Bag. Even make up. It all got a bit dull. The two men were nice opposites but the main character was so unbelievably suddenly beautiful that it was no surprise. And, her calculated dating was a bit off. Don't mind sex in a book but she coyly glossed over it while lurching from bed to bed (oh, and then more shopping). I note that this is the first in a series.....no idea what else there is you can do with the character but the other books look like a long list of cities with shopping.

I expected Sophie Kinsella or Helen Fielding. I was very disappointed.

This book is one to read! I thoroughly enjoyed the varying twists and turns of it all and could relate to the feelings and emotions of the character. It was well written and kept my attention through out.

I have read this before and enjoyed it although at times I find the character of Angela slightly irritating. Great friends she has around her that support her no matter what.
I have also liked how the characters have made appearances in the Test Brookes series of books too, then it's like catching up with old friends.

This is the story of Angela who goes from being a downtrodden girlfriend to an independent career women who is able to take care of herself. Angela finds out that her fiance is cheating on her whilst a bridesmaid at her best friends wedding and decides just to up and go to New York where she meets her tribe and some seriously sexy boyfriends. Great book to get lost in and very light and frothy reading. Would be an ideal holiday read.

Angela is a twenty something who finds out at her best friends wedding that her boyfriend of 10 years has been seeing someone behind her back and makes a rash decision to go to New York. The book follows her on her quest to find out what she wants in life by way of shopping and partying! If you are a fan of Sex in the City you will enjoy this story and good news is that it is 1 in a series of 7 books. I enjoyed the lightheartedness of the book especially after all the sad/thrillers I have been reading!

This is an absolutely brilliant example of women's fiction! It is rom-com at it's best and is what has made a name for the author! This is hilarious, touching and sweet. Angela is sassy, fun and kind. She is the kind of friend you want. I adore this book!

This is a fashion and beauty entertainment read in which our heroine, Angela Clark, flees to New York with the bare minimum after becoming of aware of her boyfriend cheating and her best friend knowing about it. Much in the style of Sex and the City, we have a transformed Angela, ecstatic in New York and becoming entangled in a lively love life and an unreliable friend. As she blogs about her life and love, Angela' negotiates her difficult relationships, feeling her way through them. A great entertaining read. Thanks to HarperCollins for an ARC.
