The End.
Those two words hold so much weight … especially after a book like that.
I guessed a couple of twists and how it might play out but it was still shocking to uncover, I mean how can one person be so blind? And still despite the twists, and your feelings waning on one character, one you start to feel sorry for...well your original thoughts were correct. What a douche!
Still a lot of sex and repetition but it was still thrilling and I blasted it in one sitting, despite being tired and having the start of a migraine. I needed the end, I needed the conclusion and I needed to see how it would pan out for Ellie.
It was intense. I was flicking the pages over quickly, the spa scene was mental as I couldn’t believe the confrontation but I couldn’t believe it was the truth. Ellie has been written as an unreliable narrator and to an extent, she is. However, there is something darker going on and I feel so much for her, a little pawn in a game she had no idea was going on.
I loved reading these books as a serialisation because it cuts at the perfect part and it’s like a reading chunk to keep you on tenterhooks. Wanting more. It knows how to hook you in and keep you there.
I can’t believe it took me so long to read this series and I am so pleased I have now. A sandwich short of a picnic story! Loved it!

Paranoia or intuition, which is it that makes Ellie believe her husband is lying to her? The final part of this enthralling, psychological thriller, keeps its secrets almost to the end. When you think you know everything there is another breathtaking revelation that leaves you with a chill down your spine.
Ellie's mental health continues to deteriorate, her marriage to Michael reaches the breaking point, but Liam is more than willing to take his place. Is this what she wants? Ellie's not sure about anything, but her need for the truth. The outcome of the terrible night that destroyed her is played out, and we find out why she can't put it out of her mind. While this is not a surprise, it does give you further pieces towards solving the psychological puzzle.
The story continues with its twisty plot. Will Ellie learn the truth or is it all in her mind, the fall out from her night of terror. The final instalment reveals all and is a nail-biting end to an original, gripping serial.
I received a copy of this book from Harper Impulse via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

I really enjoyed the majority of this book. I kept changing my mind about all the characters and how I felt about them. I'd go from wanting to slap them to wanting to hug them. To be able to get that reaction from me is amazing. It shows how good the writing style is. I really enjoyed part one, two and three but have to say I saw all the twists in part four coming which was disappointing, on a whole this book was really enjoyable and I look forward to reading more from M L Roberts.
Thanks goes to net galley and the publishers for providing me with a copy in exchange for an honest review.

Brilliant read I was on the edge of my seat from part one to four didn't want this book to end. Didn't expect what happened. Really enjoyed reading this book.

Ok so for me part one was intriguing part two picked up the continuing obsession part three the obsession was frantic and scary at times and part four just solidify that all the characters are actually quite Unwell
The husband at times seems the most well and yet he may have set into motion a spiral of paranoia,or he may not
I did guess some ,I was convinced of the husband but won’t say which way I lent towards for sake of spoilers but I was wrong
These people will be unhappy and I’m amazed they were able to sustain their relationships since young adults
The wife was well written in the sheer obsessiveness and also how she cdnt see that she herself was doing anything wrong at all
I though as episodes it did help to build the momentum of the ruminations and her actions became more manic in each book
I did think the ending was a tad predictable the role of two characters not linked but did see where the tale wd end
Not bad not great ,but u do find yourself wanting to finish it and find out what happens ,I just was wanting something more a diffirent take but did think the unravelling of the wife was well told

Having followed this four-parter from the beginning, I felt a certain twitchiness reading the final instalment. Would it end the way I suspected? Where did my true sympathies lie? To be honest, I didn't care for Ellie, Michael or Liam, but you don't need to like a character to be intrigued by their behaviour and motivation. As the story wove and twisted its way to the conclusion, I couldn't put it down. No spoilers here, but I felt the author drew things together very adeptly, maintaining the air of paranoia and mistrust throughout.
Personally, I found the splitting of the story into four a very successful tactic. Many people are not comfortable with cliffhanger endings in book series', but I felt it worked very well in terms of keeping the reader guessing. An accomplished effort.

I have read all this author’s books and loved them all. This latest instalment is brilliant. A real page turner that I read in one sitting. Highly recommended.
Many thanks to Netgalley and ML Roberts for the copy of this book. I agreed to give my unbiased opinion voluntarily.

I was absolutely hooked on the first 3 books in this series, I couldn't wait to get my hands on the 4th. It was incredible. Such a perfect ending to the story line, answered lots of questions and overall a fantastic series of books I'd recommend to anyone. 5 Stars!

I thank Netgalley for allowing me to read this book in exchange for an honest review........
I was completely engrossed in this story right from the book 1. However this last installment disappointed me a bit. The end didn't satisfy me at all and this whole part of the story was a bit slow and predictable. Shame really as I was really enjoying this story...
