A little slow to start with but once it got going it proved to be a really good read and glad I stuck with it and have discovered Ms White as an author. Here's to many more thrillers from her pen.

A good read. It did drag a bit for me. But good plot. 3*.

I would like to thank the author, the publisher and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read this book. It started well but lost it’s way in the middle, I am glad that I managed to finish it.

Not a bad book... nice plot... the main character drove me nuts at time but the story was good and kept me riveted. I would probably give it a 3.5/4... there was some stuff that should have been left out about design but other than that it was ok.

Really enjoyable read. Good characters and a Good story. Well worth a read. Think others will enjoy.

A very tense psychological thriller that I was more than happy to stay up late at night reading, I did not want it to end.

A great thriller with plenty of twists and turns.

This is the second book by Kate White I've read, and once again I was gripped from the beginning.
Well written, well done and its really recommended.

This started off fantastically, it had me gripped from the get go. However, the deeper I got into the novel, the more far-fetched and almost pathetic I found it. It just wasn't for me after the 50% point, however I did finish it and would give it 3 stars despite not enjoying it all.

Kit Finn meets handsome Matt Healy whilst on a business trip. He’s very charming and they end up spending the night together. Matt arranges to meet Kit in New York when he returns but when she arrives at their pre-arranged date at Matt’s apartment she’s shocked to find the man that opens the door isn’t the Matt she was expecting – he is the real Matt Healy! Kit realises that she was just used for sex by someone impersonating Matt and just wants to forget the whole thing. She’s shocked though to later receive a phone call from Miami police who are investigating a hit and run. The man who was killed was carrying her business card and is found to be the real Matt Healy. Kit has no idea what she has become involved in and who the man claiming to be Matt Healy really is, but as she tries to unravel the mystery herself she finds herself being put into danger.

My first book by this author. For information this book is set in the USA, mainly around New York and Florida. The blurb intrigued me as it sounded like a great psychological thriller. The book began well meet Kit who was on a business trip. I got the impression that she wasn’t usually the type to have a one-night stand, but Matt Healy was obviously very charming! I liked the way that there was nothing untoward about any of it and no reason for Kit to be suspicious of this guy at all! And then, when she returns home and goes to meet Matt at his apartment and it turns out that Matt was really Matt….wow, what a great twist to the story!

After that the story picks up a fast pace with Kit trying to work out what is going it. Some parts of the story slow up a little, but on the whole the story kept me interested with the suspense of what was happening. I have to admit that whilst I initially thought it would be a psychological thriller, it did feel more like a romantic thriller! An enjoyable read with plenty of twists and turns. I would definitely recommend this one!

The 'twist' / ending was quite predictable and the plot on the whole was very far-fetched. I found the book relatively easy to read as I found myself itching to find out answers, but as everything was so unrealistic I did not find myself enjoying it. I was glad to reach the last few pages to be honest!

Romance goes wrong with a case of mistaken identity. Plenty of action and suspense. An easy & imaginative read

I really enjoyed this! I’ve not tried this author before but will be looking out for her in the future. I liked Kit and I loved trying to solve the mystery. Would recommend

I love it when a novel lulls you into one way of thinking then turns itself upside down.

This book was well written, though at times it felt contrived. Overall l enjoyed it, but will probably have forgotten the story in a few weeks time. It was ok, but not memorable.

I was initially drawn to The Wrong Man by the cover, which makes me think thriller right away. I was a little bit disappointed by this read, but pleasantly surprised in some areas as well. I would pick up another book by this author, though and I’m actually quite intrigued by her mystery series which I found on Goodreads when I was doing some stalking, haha!

The book is a mystery, yet that plot really lacked some oomph for me. It was a little bit bland and didn’t have any huge twists to capture my attention. Usually when I read thrillers, I’ll race through them in one or two sittings, but this one just didn’t really draw me in as much as I thought it would.

One thing I absolutely adored though, was the main character’s occupation and the descriptions of her interior decorating business/process. I love reading about that kind of stuff and I thought it provided a great contrast to the mystery plot, which really felt more like a subplot in this book. I wish it had been fleshed out a little bit more. Really it felt more like an afterthought.

But please don’t take my words too harshly. I definitely still enjoyed reading The Wrong Man and am interested to see what else the author has to offer. If she does more books like this – with a light mystery and cool descriptions of clothes and interiors, I’m definitely game to read some more. I absolutely love that mix.

Would recommend for: fans of Mary Higgins Clark! This totally reminded me of her style. I used to read her books all the time in high school so it was a nice throwback.
